Just a thought.
After a long break from the game and coming back, the whole DBD player attitude appears to be this.
Survivors: We need every advantage known to man to mess with killers and make them look like fools or the game is no fun.
Killers: We need every advantage known to man to annihilate survivors so no one gets out or the game is no fun.
This doesn't apply to everyone of course but that's what I'm hearing and seeing quite a lot. It

Both sides have entitled players. Those arguments are from said players. Both sides believe the game is sided to those they complain about. Killers think the game is survivor sided. Survivors think the game is killer sided. So both think they need everything and anything to win not caring about how that makes the other side feel. The game just in general is not balanced. For either side. It’s just how it is because the devs continue to turn a blind eye to it all and push it more and more cosmetics and half assed chapters. If they were really concerned with the health of their game they would have done something about it by now. Then again that’s just my opinion.

yes. that appears to be the case. I even lost an outfit for the huntress I got a year or so ago and it's now locked behind auric cells.

Can't we all work together? The Entity is everyone's enemy after all.

Just look at the sheer amount of people complaining that Blight is weak, even though he is one of the few killers that survivors have to genuinely outplay in order to escape. And the sheer amount of people defending second-chance builds to the death even when someone calls out their reasoning, to the point where people have been attempting to alter the terms "camping" and "tunneling" to capture a much wider range of behaviours.

Yup and now there's the new annoying Generator sound. Gens aren't built like cars they don't have a starter in them that kicks the engine on. It's just annoying you start them either by a pull or a button don't hotwire them.

Each role has its share of frustrations and miscommunication. But guess what? This game depends on BOTH roles to keep afloat and provide meaning. No one can force you to play nice with others, or be empathetic to the other side's view.
This is why when players cry for balance, my suggestion is to play that way- with equal time given to playing both Survivor and Killer. Not only does it help you mindgame/counter the other, it also gives exposure to the unsavory parts of what players of the opposing side deal with. Empathy goes a long way.

I agree, I play both occasionally and it's bad on both ends. All the things that I don't like as a survivor I try not to do as a killer, however I can understand why it's done. After playing killer matches where you can't do anything at all because of some fictional rule book. If you don't watch hooks people are going to get pulled off the second you turn around. Camping and watching are not the same thing. Going after someone who just came off a hook is a little dirty but I see why it's done, because it's easy. and you can't win in some cases. survivors will do the same to the killer. you turn around they'll unhook and call you trash, they teabag at a door because they can and think it's funny. Do anything to counter them though and "You're camping trash" "you tunnel so you're trash. Here's a personal example from a game last night.
it was on hawkins and a huntress had us squeezed with the super powered hatchets, Barbecue, Lullaby, and devour hope .(all of which were level 3). so yeah she destroyed us. after the game was over this is the chat we got
"wow not a single Gen done and you even had a map, you suck"
"you should have been able to at least find my 2 hexes no problem"
with a game stacked that hard against us of course she won.
It's a double edged sword and both edges could cut flesh like butter.
