Solution to survivor DCs
Other survivors could heal and rescue the afk survivor for points, dc'ing wouldn't trigger the hatch prematurely/artificially, Evil Incarnate wouldn't be so difficult, and the killer could continue on as normal.
I don't know what could work for a killer DC since they're hosting though..

Unfortunately some survivors already complain about a bug that lets the killer hook them for full points after they DC. Some even said they need to fix it so the killer can't get BBQ stacks from them.. So even though this would be a simple fix some people would still complain. The devs just need to add the new end game idea they had and this'll no longer be an issue.
Edit: I thought the post was referring to DC'ing to let someone get the hatch. Seem alot of them. NevermindPost edited by Blood_Coil_Viper on1 -

Great idea.... absolutely no upvotes. You know this forun isn't about #########. Most Survivors and killers just want what they want, they don't care about balance.

No it’s not a great idea you don’t give a ######### about balance, you’re totally willing to ######### the survivors over who didn’t dc and have them waste their time and be punished for someone else dc , sounds to me like someone needs a easy 4K or you wouldn’t propose an afk survivor that other survivors would be risking their lives for , if anything it should be a bot that takes over and at least does something even if they are a stupid bot I would be more ok with that than a afk survivor that immediately when I unhook isn’t gonna run away and just get me found by notifying the killerDr_doom_j2 said:SpaceCoconut said:What if instead of "dying" they were left alive as if the player was afk?

Well arent they punished for the DC anyway? tell me when was the last time a 3 man survivor game actually escaped you?

I’ve escaped in the situation before , your comment proves it’s all about a 4K and ######### the other survivors who stayed in and actually wanted to play the game the right way, the other survivors shouldn’t be punished any more than being a man shortGlobal said:@lyric said:

Wow lyric is mad...
The killer would still have to hit and hook the survivor giving you time to hide or move to a different area.
Right now if a survivor dcs the killer gets an instant kill saving several minutes of chase and bleed time.
Isn't it technically an easy 4k if a survivor DCs anyway? This solves some inbalances with it occurring.1 -
What if the last survivor alive is one who DC'd though? Would it just kill them like it does now?0
-
The killer wouldn't be robbed of hook and sacrifice points at least0
-
It would totally expose and waste the time of the other survivors who could be busy escaping because they have the gens to do and who says he doesn’t tunnel you right after because he realizes it’s afk? usually the guy who dc like that is always the ######### with d strike that goes down, misses it with 5 gens left and then everyone is screwed , you’re saying they should have a fake alive status and not let the team know which is bullshit , A bot would be better because at least it’s doing something and you don’t lose your hooks.SpaceCoconut said:Wow lyric is mad...

No one said any of that. You are projecting WAAAAAY to much. That is dumb, no one advocated for a fake survivor that struggles and acts like a real one only to confuse other survivors. What space coconut simply suggested was making it so wheb you DC you don't just teleport away to safey and deny the killer points "just because". If you hook the survivor that DC, it's instant sacrifice, meaning
A. There is one less hook on the field,
B. The killer used up time to hook that body
C. Survivors cannot just DC to protest being slugged or give other survivors the hatch, which is unfair and not what the DC button was meant for.
Two of those are dorect benefots to survivors, by the way. Also, one more thing, you know when someone DC's they have the DC icon over their avatar, right?

DCing needs to be punished at its core0 -

Dude, you completely lost it at this point? What difference would it make if that was his first hook or not? If he was going to dc, for whatever reason, he was going to dc. All this would mean is now instead of the killer immediately moving on to chase the next survivor, he has to hook and sacrifice the bidy, then go on a chase.
If he has BBQ and Chili so what? If he was playing well enough to make the guy DC, he was going to hook him and find you anyway.
What is really your point man? Please give me ONE scenario where this doesn't benefit both sides against the DC'er and protect from game abuse.. Just one.1 -

If the survivor that dc is on his first hook then it’s a waste of time coming to get him and heal him and you expose your location by saving the survivor, what don’t you see about that? I could be doing something productive and not worrying about a guy who dc , he’s saying with an alive status still, if we’re going as far as to leave them in game at least notify the other survivors so they don’t waste their time trying to save an afk survivor and allow the killer to just hook the afk survivor and go on about it and I’m cool with that but don’t give me a fake status telling me my teammate has been hookedDr_doom_j2 said:lyric said:

Yea I know the icon is there that’s what I’m bitching about re read what his post is it says that they stay alive for unhooks and heals which means they have an alive status I’m not cool with that and I don’t dc in gamesDr_doom_j2 said:lyric said:w

I've already made a few threads on this - to replace a playe who dc with ai. But since the killers are a "minority" the devs don't really care. Killer dc each survivor gets 5000bp, survivor dc killer gets 625.
