I want to genuinely know why this is allowed
This, this is why survivors end up running the crutches perks and play scummy towards the killer. This can’t be compared to keys (unpopular opinion btw). Yes, they are both very strong but the killer can just do this and get you out of the game. For a key to come in play, the survivors have to do their objective, gens. The amount of Moris I have been seeing recently is truly disgusting (not sure why). Maybe, this is one the reasons why players don’t play this game for very long, this is not fun.
Moris really don’t deserve a rework, they deserve to be removed from the game. The same thing can be said about keys. Both are really unhealthy for the game as both make the game end faster than intended and are probably the most unbalanced thing in the game at the moment. If you really want these things to stay in the game, you are probably not a good player yourself.
(Don’t bully me for running 2 exhaustion perks, I have nothing on Cheryl :))

I see you play on Xbox, why not just dodge the mori? It’s kind of your fault for playing it knowing that 98% of killers with an ebony mori first hook mori. I definitely agree with you though, first hook moris should be removed but look on the bright side, the devs confirmed that they’re going to be reworking moris and keys soon.

That's far from optimal as you can't know for sure it's a mori. Tunneling in general is just extremely boring atm, the problem is more highlighted than ever with Decisive being bugged. It needs fixed in some way, killers like spirit being abused for it also. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I love this game, but when I try to introduce new friends to it, it gets tiresome explaining and reasoning about tunneling/camping again and again.
8 -
Hopefully it’s a shadow nerf. My goodness if everyone knows before they get nerfed, they are going use them like crazy.
7 -
This. I have tried making my friends try it out but they up leaving since they barely have any perks and have to grind quite a lot and new killers tunnel like crazy. It really ruins the fun of the game.
8 -
There's a challenge to kill Obsessions, you drew the short straw.
8 -
Because thats so difficult that you need to bring the most OP Offering in the game.
22 -
i mean it's not exactly difficult it's just why not opt for an easy route compared to the much harder 3 hook or risk the survivor dcing when you're about to hook them a third time (this happened to me a few times when i was doing the challenge).
12 -
Yea I just stoped carding about surivors fun after running into 5 keys in a row so yea f all y'all that use ds unbreakable adrenaline with a key ive started useing pyrmid head with manquins foot franklins noed like i want to play in a fun way for everyone but I cant when everyones is useing metta shi# that ruins the fun for me
10 -
they also said they are looking into monstrous shrine. Where's that change
0 -
Wouldn’t tunneling off of first hook with a mori get you more dc’s than just playing normally anyway?
3 -
I mean when your obsession goes from dead hook to 2sd because you "tunnled someone" isint it easier to just mori them
1 -
Mori's require 66% of a killers objective to be completed. Not saying anything else, just pointing that out.
5 -
Nice math. lol
2 -
You have to complete 2 chases and prepare them for a second hook. That is 66% of the killers objective spread across 4 survivors. I don't like Mori's, but I don't like being dishonest about them either.
10 -
Killer doesn't waste time picking/walking/hooking survivor. 66% only If mori was "death on 2nd hook".
4 -
It takes 13 seconds to Mori.
2 -
Killers that have gotten fed up and make life suck are why i'm going full meta. It isn't as fun doing the same thing every single time but when I am targeted right away I can have a DS laugh or something. the cycle shall endure.
1 -
if you're in the mori animation when they dc it still counts as a kill.
1 -
Also counter DS, flashlights and wiggle. It's not 66% of killers objective.
5 -
I only bring a mori if I have a daily or ritual. If I bring Devour Hope and I manage to get 5 stacks, I earned it.
5 -
sort of like when there were gen challenges and you'd see 4 commodius with BNP
is that necessary
"JUST EFFICIENT"
6 -
Why would anyone bully you because of 2 exhaustion perks? I run dead hard and balance landing with spine chill and resilience. This is my looping combo. The synergy in this combo is nuts!
2 -
I mean, I also needed more than 10 games for that. The first two games my Obsession DCed right at the start. I used Rancor for that, because then an Obsession is guaranteed and it is some form of Safety Net.
But I also think that you have 3 weeks for that, so you dont need to rush. Same like using a Key when you get a Challenge where you need to escape (like the Meg-Challenge in Level 4). It is the easy route, but really necessary? I dont think so.
0 -
Actually not really. They can do what that spirit did and down you before you can move, then mori you. Also you only need to be hooked once.
1 -
Imagine having to play a killer with no counterplay, put a mori on, and facecamp just to get a kill. Its sad that the devs thought moris were a good idea. And I'm not even going to talk about how spirit needs to be thrown into a blender.
6 -
Take a guess what Daily rewards the most bloodpoint (twice as much as normal dailys): Its a Mori
Have you seen the Challenges in this Tome... mori / kill / tunnel.
And its all coming from BHVR
3 -
At the end of the day it's the developers that made and balance this game, so if you have a problem with the things people do you should direct your anger towards them. Don't expect people not to do things that the game allows them to do within its rules. Generally speaking when you try to balance this game to deal with the "frustrating" aspects, you tend to severely affect balance, as many survivor perks tend to show us. Basically it punishes people who play by the rules and rewards people who do not. Welcome to DBD balance.
2 -
You should have a mori protection if you were the last one hooked, this is absolute BS.
1 -
Yup, and when they fall victim to it enough times, they're ready to quit. It just isn't fun.
1 -
I believe the challenges are making it even worse. I mean, it's mori after mori after mori.
2 -
I feel the pain I hate DS so much I can't wait for it to be dead.
0 -
My way to mori is on second hook or if you DS me then you get mori so you deserve it.
0 -
They bully me with DS so when I get DS I will mori them so it that simple so you can't escape from me.
0 -
A mori nerf has been announced by the devs so people are using them up before they are basically deleted.
I have been seeing a hell of allot of keys as well. Mostly console survivors bring them.
3 -
Getting so upset over a perk is really ridiculous, mori is way more abusive than DS and you know it, this logic is faulty.
4 -
Morris can't be nerfed otherwise they'll be useless. Imagine if hatch spawned only when the gates were open (as an example). They become useless. They need a full rework.
3 -
The reason killers do that is becuz of toxic survivors who bully the killer so the killer will play scummy towards future survivors.
This is stupidity. It's circular logic.
If u want to start something. It starts with YOU! You should blame it on other survivors instead of putting the entire blame on the killer. You should encourage other survivors to not be toxic.
Until u do this, constantly talking crap towards killers will further encourage them to play in this manner. And there is nothing wrong w it becuz its just normal game mechanic, at least the video u uploaded.
If u are a survivor and want to nerf killers, I should point the finger at other survivors first. And vice versa.

Can I just say, you have the profile picture of Michael Myers, who I think has an add-on that lets him stab people on pick up.
You wanna talk about that?
0 -
You are seeing an increase in the Mori because of the increase in SWF. Until that is balanced, most Killers are desperate to turn a 4v1 to a 3v1 as quickly as possible. The sooner there are two ques, one for Solo and one for Group/Team, the better. The Mori has been around for a LONG time, and for the most part it wasn't used that heavily. It is seeing an uptick because Killers must adapt to the changing META. I know this is a tough pill to swallow, but the Killers don't know who is in SWF and who isn't. The games can be over before they are even begun, so the increase in the tunneling and the Mori are a direct result of Killers doing what they have to do.

As others have stated, keys and moris are getting a rework. Until then, try to not let these things frustrate you too much. I know that can be easier said than done, but not caring about pipping or ranks can make a world of difference.
If I notice that a killer is using a secret offering, which most likely is a Mori, I've learned to accept that it's most likely going to be a quick match as the killer is no doubt going to tunnel every person after the first hook. It sucks, but for now all we can do is accept it and move on.
0 -
What? That’s just like saying I play Huntress, so I must be using iri head.
2 -
Myers has the Tombstone Piece and the Tombstone itself. They allow a special kind of Mori where we don't even have to pick you up. We can Mori you on the run if we are in Tier-3. :) Of course both come with significant downsides, so they more or less balance out.
1 -
For a key to come in play, the survivors have to do their objective, gens.
For a mori to come in play, the killers have to do their objective, hook survivors.
0 -
True, but there's quite a difference here. All killers have to do is hook a survivor once to activate a Mori, whereas survivors have to complete four generators to get the hatch to spawn, assuming of course everyone is still alive by that point.
1 -
Yes they have to do 66% of there objective, but its much easier to pressure gens when you tunnel of first hook with a mori
0 -
The problem is 100% created by the ever-increasing power and population of the SWF. Tunneling and the Mori have always been around. Killers could always use them. They didn't, on average, because there wasn't a need. Now there is a need, created by a changing META. Killers have attempted all sorts of ways to deal with the increasing commonality and potency of the SWF, but none of them are as effective as removing a person from the carefully coordinated COMMS.
Removing 1 person from a SWF slows down the Gen-Rush, reduces the amount of information they share by 25%, and gives all the others pause (puts the fear of the Mori in them) and makes it easier to run them off Generators. Do you see where I'm going with this? Killers aren't shifting strategy because they love the Mori (we earn fewer points overall) but because to salvage our games at all we have to reduce that advantage. Balance that advantage and level the playing field, say by putting Group/Team in their OWN Que where extra requirements can be added to them (say extra Generator and giving the Killer a 5th Perk) and the problem would take care of itself.
Again, Killers (and I so play one) would rather go for more Hooks, have more time to play the game as it used to be played, and earn more points and Emblems overall. But until we have ANOTHER option that actually works against the SWF issue (without all of us somehow turning into Otz, Monto, etc.) we do what we gotta do.

I haven't seen Spirit's kill animation before, thanks for sharing!

The game is 4v1... 1 hook is only about 8% of the killers objective... 8x4 is 32% of the killers objective is using a mori off 1st hook for all 4 survivors.

You know, Dead by Daylight forum posts have been popping up in my Google now feed a lot and it's really made me surprised how much people care about the game.
0 -
Omfg I'm so tired of these sh*tbags. This was an immature, tired, waste of time of a post that was merely hyperbolic with no substance. Kids are mad they get killed and cant just start a new match. They say you're not a good player if you like Keys and Moris but then go "DoN't BuLlY mE iDk HoW tO pLaY oR lEvEl Up A bLoOdWeB sO I hAvE 2 eXhAuStIoN pErKs". You know who gets mad at being mori'd? Toxic players who have similar mindsets that sink this game on the forums and in play with some of the crossplay features introduced. If you dont like Moris and Keys, f*** off and play something else.
It makes NO SENSE that people will keep the incredulous shittalking going and STILL play when they dont want/like, ruining it a little more everytime for people like me who enjoy the game and getting better at it with each new mechanic or addition to the trials work.
I mean, come on, grow up, get out, and leave.
