TTV? What is it, streamer?
With cross platform going down and swapping to killer I've noticed an insane amount of TTV however when I search them they don't appear to be streamers, it's been like 50/50 which is unfortunate because I always hope to hop into a stream when I hook them and wait to hear a complaint about camping and then just stick it out the whole match. Anyone else just face camp the crap out of TTV? I figure it means hey look at me I'm important so I do, I put every bit of focus on only them.

Some do it to bamboozle you.
And no I don't camp Twitchers just because they are twitchers. Innocent until proven guilty. If they are chill, normal game. They do everything to annoy the killer? "No u"-card activated.

A lot of people stream dbd, but don't take it seriously and therefore stop it soon after trying out. So the amount of dead dbd ttv accounts are very high.
3 -
TTV = "its a mori" always member :D
2 -
Why are you so toxic?
3 -
Aight so congratulations players like you are the exact reason I became a killer main.
No, if there's a streamer I play the game like normal because I have this thing called "Empathy" and I'm aware that everyone is playing a game to have some form of fun. Try it sometime and grow the ######### up.

You realize that stream sniping is bannable, right? You're confessing to going into people's streams and reacting mid-game based on how they choose to play, or what they are communicating. It actually is a form of cheating. And before you try to argue that they are streaming it, so it's publicly available, that doesn't matter. They are streaming the game for their followers. If you, as one of the active players in a match, are using their feed to gain information, such as their location or their perks, then you are cheating. Obviously, one would need proof to report that, but you're here on the official forums, pretty much confessing to doing just that.

Most twitch streamers are just normal dudes with a handful of viewers. Occasionally I get a really toxic one who just thinks they're hot stuff or needing to show off.
I've followed a few TTV people just to be nice if they aren't super sweaty or insulting. But then again I do my best to combat the huge levels of toxicity in this game.
I would prefer people watching to think the game isn't all full of face campers. Why people go out of their way to chase other players away has never made sense to me.
2 -
Unfortunately stream sniping isn't actually bannable in dbd (though it is against Twitch TOS), it's just very very scummy.
1 -
I would think any form of blatant cheating in DBD would be a bannable offense, if evidence can be provided. Maybe BHVR won't act on it, but it's very clearly cheating.
0 -
Nah bhvr have said in the past and continue to say that stream sniping, even with proof, is not a bannable offence.
3 -
Well that's just dumb, because it's blatant cheating, lol. Oh well, I guess. I guess macros are cool too then. Why would anyone want to spam the spacebar or the wiggle keys? Especially when the wiggle keys don't actually affect how quickly you struggle off a killer's shoulder.
4 -
Macros have also been confirmed not to be bannable although if EAC takes action the devs can't unban you from it.
4 -
It's not bannable . It only violates twitch tos.
1 -
More nice info. Whenever I report cheaters, I'm told by BHVR that I have to have evidence, since they apparently can't review their own gameplay footage, so you're kind of SoL if you aren't a streamer that records all of your gameplay. I just report it to Steam and other third-parties because apparently they can go in and review it. If EAC and Steam can step in and issue bans, I take it the devs can't unban you then either. I suppose I'll prioritize any reports to Steam in the future.

You can't really prove streamsniping unless they admit it or stream/record themselves doing it, that's the thing. No matter how much it seems like streamsniping happened, that alone does not prove it.
Both PUBG and Fortnite has "streamsniping" controversies in the past, where suspected streamsnipers got in trouble.. and then it turned out they were completely innocent. That's not a good look at all.
2 -
Right, but he is admitting it, lol. That was my point.
0 -
BHVR don't record their own matches to play back hence why you need to file video evidence.
BHVR also don't have the power to overwrite an EAC or VAC ban either; not even Steam Support will lift VAC ban's. Not sure how successful you'll be reporting it to EAC or Valve but best of luck.

I understand that now, but I still think it's kind of dumb. If one can prove that someone is going out of the bounds of the game in order to gain an advantage over the opposite team, such as their location, their strategy, or their perks, then that constitutes cheating. Why BHVR refuses to punish that is beyond me.

Swf wouldn't exist without this.
4 -
Yer dude Devs have stated stream sniping is not bannable ages ago
1 -
BHVR doesnt care if you stream snipe. Twitch does but BHVR said they don't care...
0 -
That's a Claudette perk, right?
7 -
Look at it this way, if the Killer stream snipes you that's doubled your audience.
2 -
TTV-people are usually wannabe-streamers with 5 viewers (4 are bots), rarely you meet someone who has an community of viewers. Most of them stream like 3 times and then never again, but they keep the name because they hope one day their big streaming career may start after all. In my experience, their playstyle doen't differ from the rest
2 -
Indeed it is!

I, when I play killer, only treat a streamer negative when they are clicky clicky or t bag at every pallet and save in your face without BT. Otherwise ur right only half are legitimate and the other half just want attention...I do like that some streamers include their audience and be interactive, it keeps this game alive in your mind when you can play

Players like me? I became a killer main because I couldn't beat the camping and tunneling. I've learned the only way to counter it is swf 😂
0 -
Where's this rule written? I can't go to a publicly broadcasted game and see what's up? 😂 🤣 😂 Nah chill I'll do what I want.
1 -
I purchased a turbo controller to handle the A button just like I stream snipe son. Run an tell that homeboy
0 -
If you're putting TTV in your name, you're inviting it.
The devs have stated they do not ban or stream sniping.
Anything else to add to prove you really have no idea what you're talking about?

So things I've found from this thread so far, a bunch of cry baby TTV streamers yikes, don't stream if you don't want me to look, and folks who clearly read me saying I open a stream and listen if they trash talk to face camp composed that into going to a stream and watching to chest, which if possible I would but tbh you can't watch a stream and run a survivor no matter how hard you cheat.
Lots of crybabies who think getting a turbo controller to smash A and googling a name someone made to have you Google to view is now a cheating offense when it isn't either 😂 🤣 😂
To think any of your survivors matter past the 3 minutes in game I spend with you while you die on the hook is classic. You've got a couple of options to counter my face camping, get good, use perks for it or get a team who cares to help you. I don't care and love the fan mail after match 🤷🏽♂️ also I'm a noed blood warden and new killer perk to bounce noed if you break it face camper. I'll rip a door open to noed you and kill your team. Run and tell that homeboy

TTV streamers are usually the most wholesome people I've met, I always love looking at their stream afterwards to watch my gameplay over.
2 -
"Anyone else just face camp the crap out of TTV?"
"I couldn't beat the camping and tunneling"
So you became a killer main because you couldn't beat facecamping yet you see a TTV and facecamp? Big brain move.
Now, do correct me if I'm wrong but I think there's a contradiction there, in which case, *ahem*, "NO, THAT'S WRONG!"
1 -
Ppl who watch low level streamers isn't watching to decide if they should buy the game. They are already playing DBD.
I look for face camping streamers on twitch but its so hard to find.
If any streamers out there willing to stream some good face camp play, plz let me know. I wanna watch.
0 -
What exactly is the contradiction? I get insane blood points face camping. It's not punished it's rewarded. I got red ranks doing it, can't get red ranks surviving against face camping thus all my characters are now almost 50 from it 🤷🏽♂️
0 -
"I switched to killer because I couldn't deal with the facecamping so now I facecamp people."
I mean, whatever floats your boat I guess? That sounds like the most boring thing I've ever heard and I'd rather sit there watching paint dry but, if you like it go off. Just hope you don't face a team with kindred or a swf or a braincell.
Also, if you have to facecamp to get to red ranks, you don't belong in red ranks.
2 -
That's actually pretty accurate.
I rarely face a streamer who is overly toxic or salty. They might be on the inside (who knows if they don't hide their anger on stream? lol), but they are usually pretty nice. It's usually the players facing them that are the salty/toxic ones, tbh lol
2 -
I am a Twitch streamer, and I just do it for followers.
I still have a love for this game, and only complain when something is so obviously unfair.
I once had a guy FLYING across the map, and landing at gens.
2 -
Bravo😂😂😂
Haven't laughed like that in a while.
1 -
Most of the time I see TTV players, their stream is offline.
0 -
If red ranks come from camping then that's exactly what I deserve. If I didn't deserve it I wouldn't be there. You feel like you're entitled to something. You're entitled to figuring out how to get past it or dying. My only job is to kill you and it doesn't matter how I decide I want to go about it. Usually in a face camp sitch your team comes to save and I get 3 more hooks, if not all gens come on and so does noed and blood warden when I bust that door open and poof you're all dead. 🤷🏽♂️

Almost half are online streaming. It's neat to see, I find most of them have the same play styles and it makes it way easier to find them to boot. I'll usually also have my stream going also. Have had a few pop into mine while I was in theirs and chat while hanging in their hooks 😂 we've made guesses if anyone would ever show.
0 -
When ever I see someone with TTV I always love to tunnel, camp and mori them, its so fun
They deserve it, like come on, if you are gonna put TTV in your name to gain attention(Because your too lazy to work hard for sub/views) then your gonna get attention all right, but not the nice kind. And like someone else said, your basically inviting them to stream snipe you.
1 -
You could maybe try that without insulting people. Everybody starts somewhere. You think people start at 5k viewers or something?
A lot of people, streamers or not, are wholesome people. You have a handful of streamers and non-streamers who are just #########
this holds true irl as well
0 -
I wish, the wholesome bunch is rare and far between. I'll test every match, nearly every one starts with a pallet and tea bagging while I'm clearly not hitting a survivor and just chasing to see how they react. When that react is negative because they think I'm trash and not being nice then the camping and tunneling starts and it's usually all 4 dead. If a survivor drops pallet and bails then I leave em be and go look for someone else. How you react after dropping pallet decides how ima face camp and tunnel you and if I even let someone pull you off.

How exactly are you expected to get noticed as a tiny/new streamer without putting the TTV in your name? And how exactly do you know they're not working hard if they do have the TTV. Literally I've met people who aren't even affiliate yet.
Again, people like you are the reason a bunch of people just stop playing, and a bunch of others don't stream survivor or the game in general.
0 -
It's rare another dbd player wants to watch a new streamer. Folks watch streams to get tips on how to play. Most TTV new streamers are dead first hook or just doing things that generally wouldn't warrant a watch. Oh let's go watch this person hide in a locker all game or rub the killer of on other survivors etc... Either you're making big moves and you'll get noticed quick or you're an equally boring streamer as player and folks are watching paint dry instead.

It always makes me sad when a ttv player isn't live... But when they are...
This one's live tomorrow ;)
Here's a whole playlist ;)

I think it's not important how many viewers a Streamer has.
