You could have just gotten a new keyboard. Maybe one with macros?

You can plug a keyboard into the USB port btw...

wireless mouse 1/2 - bought by best friend
wireless headest2/2 - bought by ex girlfriend
no ports remain but I guess I could spend an absurd amount of money to rectify that
edit: not to mention the absurdity of having no space on my desk for a keyboard with my laptop in the way

First time I’ve heard this from anyone, always wondered how things were on PC side of DBD as far as wearing out mouses, keyboards, etc.
I go thru a PS4 controller every 4-6mths. Usually, it’s the left joystick that has been wearing out an snapping.
Hopefully you can get a keyboard to plug into your laptop.

I mean... A USB multiplier and keyboard would probably be cheaper than getting a new laptop everytime your spacebar broke...

You can use an USB multiport, they're cheap and very useful.

@SleepyWillo @White_Owl a source would be appreciated so I know 1) what youre talking about and 2)prices
@HamletEagle putting struggle on mouse wheel works but doesnt help with vaulting dropping pallets etc

A USB port/hub is a device that allows you to add multiple usb ports (where you plug things in) to your machine. I'm using ICY BOX , though i dunno if that's a local brand.

Wondered this as well. I wear out an Xbox1 controller like four times a year, mainly the "A" button, mainly due to DBD.
For us noob consolers: what tf are "Macros"?

imagine if you will programing a button you can press.... to mash for you
or in other cases to automate a process more easily

Ahhhh. Since console cannot use keyboards and such, would that be..... ummmm...... an advantage thingy?

You can get macro controllers - infact, most cheaper controllers tend to have them as standard (Though I've always hated them on my old controllers)
They make doing small repetitive things easier - like struggle and wiggle. That about all you could use them for in this game.
Other games you could preprogramme move rotations, etc

It happened to me for the 1st time recently. It makes me hesitant to buy a nice PS4 controller if I'm going to need to replace it again in a few months :(

How are you breaking joysticks? Do circles with wiggling, not side to side.

The struggle mechanic is the worst and they should really look into an alternative way to handle it. I had to macro it early on since it would cause my hand to hurt after a bit which would cause me to die on hook. I would have given up playing this game if I had to slam a key all the time.

Think macros is like the equivalent of a 1 button Fatality in MK, as opposed to pressing all the buttons in order.

Yeah, really tho. My tv stopped working 8mths ago an it’s too expensive rn to get another one, so I have to play thru my PSVR. Eventually, w all the controllers I will have purchased, I could probs almost have bought a new tv!

Yeah, I always do circles when the killer is carrying me.
Think the joysticks are snapping from constantly, firmly holding one direction while walking around, an especially when running away from the killer, as a survivor.
I only get the official Sony PS4 DS controllers too, ‘cause I kno the other ones are cheaply made an break easier, too. So now I jus think ALL the controllers aren’t as good of quality as the ones from when PS4 first released.
I dunno, tho

I feel your pain. I've only just come back from a months break due to motherboard dying from playing TOO MUCH DBD (the only game I play)
A work around might be to plug a keyboard into your laptops usb port? it'd be simpler to fix if you had a desktop.

that actually maybe by my pc that hasn't had any problems since maybe 3 months ago (when i got it) havent had a clue of ######### happened

The devs owes us a controller and keyboard.
My joystick moves by itself and the x button doesn't always work.
My character likes to kill himself on the hook struggle phase. My team thinks I intentionally killed myself. Spamming the button to struggle is a joke.
