Is DBD playable atm?
Hey there :)
Im takign a break from dbd at the moment and just wanna ask if the game is still a buggy mess or if they fixed the most of it.
So please tell me the biggest bugs that are going around at the moment.
Is this game playable? Are there still massive frame drops?
I DONT want to get answers like DS is still OP or Freddy is still a free win. Nothing about balance please, i just want to know the major bugs ^^

Even more bugs after each patch.

I don't know many bugs but the major ones i know are: the 1 sec DS stun and killers can't hook survs sometimes.

there are still plenty of bugs around, but if we're being honest thats always been the case.
there is nothing that really makes the game "unplayable", you can still play and have fun, nothing really gamebreaking is going on atm.
some bugs i personally noticed:
- silent slugs are still a thing
- at the top of the hills there is a rock that is really hard to walk over (you'll know what i mean when you encounter it)
- people can still move freely while being hit by the Redeemer - they can even deadhard to avoid the chain AFTER getting hit (counts as a normal miss for the slinger), hard to time though
- sometimes you cant perform the hooking action on a survivor, usually when you approach the hook from a wrong angle. can be fixed by dropping and picking them back up (probaply the biggest bug right now)
- random error message as survivor after playing a game "lost connection to party", even though you were solo (still get all BP and stuff, so its just a minor inconvenience that you're back at the main menu)
- ghostfaces reveal mechanic is still working absolutely perfect /s
- apparently you cant use keys at times and instead get stuck in the jumping into hatch animation - or at the wrong spot get stuck inside the ground (havent seen it ingame yet, but i saw the latest 4Gamers video xD)

You no longer get stuck on hills so that's nice. The graphics updates are great but for some people they cause huge frame drops.

never had a "silent slug" and not because i haven't left survivors on the ground.
never encountered this rock on top of the hills
haven't had any encounters of this, but i rarely play deathslinger
seen hook bug, and can say it's an issue (and I've gotten off a shoulder or two because of it)
this is a network error that is not easy depends on your connection to steam and the dedicated server lobbies
gf does need a fix for his reveal, still think survivors should be able to micro reveal GF.
the key issue is usually when the hatch spawns too close to an object in game where the key would be used otherwise I have only SEEN it happen once.

There are lots (and I mean lots) of bugs right now, some of which force you to disconnect mid-game because you can't do anything. Generators sound like horses, framerate is worse than it's ever been (my PC dropped to 54 on Asylumn. Doesn't seem bad? I could hit 144 uncapped on that map a couple months back), players are still toxic asshats, and overall it can be a pretty miserable experience. Stay on your break for a bit, is my best advice.

Works fine for me and literally tens of thousands of others who are playing right now. I'd advise you to just try it for yourself and see.

There are some annoying bugs on both sides, but overall you can play just fine if you play just for fun.
if you only play to win and be as competitive as possible, you may encounter bugs that will def throw the game for you, but usually I get in matches where the other part is relatively good sports about it and I don’t care that much if I win or lose kn the end.

It's buggy but playable. If you play killer and get the 'can't hook', drop them on the floor then pick them up and try again, usually fixes it.
On survivor side, it's okay (I'm playing on PS4 with cross play turned off), I haven't experienced anything bad. Our SWF lobby disconnects now and then but it doesn't take long to fix that.

Thx guys :) I guess ill stay away from DBD for another couple of month. I play sweaty but fair and before I took a break it was hella unfun some times because of silent slugs and toxic people.
This freaks me out the most atm:
sometimes you cant hook a survivor?
Dude thats a game changer especially vs good survivors.
If you ate a DS you could lose the game the last time i played and not being able to hook is like the same.
Thx for your honesty^^ Have fun and stay save!

It’s playable?
yes.
will you enjoy it?
well.....

Yeah. There are a few bugs and SWF/smurfcomps are still a nightmare, but it's certainly playable and I encounter a bug at most once every two days, outside of the handful that are widely known and being fixed this week.

Uhh, it's practically unplayable for me on the "updated" maps. Hitboxes and collision for M1s, M2s, and projectiles are still often super iffy. I wouldn't recommend playing it if you've left for any specific reason(s). I also wouldn't recommend it to a new player... :/
No offense, DbD.

They introduce 5 new bugs for every 1 they fix. It hasn't been playable for the last couple patches at least. Maybe they should try their hand at flash games, lmao.

I get a complete crash roughly 30 seconds into a match in the last 7 or 8 consecutive games. I haven't been able to play a match since the blight chapter was released. The first crash I experienced was on the blight PTB and then when I reconfigured for regular play I've had a complete crash ever single game. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the game and no change.
