Has anyone experimented with lightweight?
I was wondering if I could synergize it with some perks or make a build with it but I wasn't sure if it was useful enough to let it take up a perk slot. It seemed like it might go well with DWM.

There's a comparison for you. In my opinion, there's never a reason to use Lightweight.

It's actually pretty good and has lost me a killer or two when I messed around with it. The issue with perks like this is that without things like pairing it with Nancy's Fixated you can't really tell exactly how well it is working for you so it feels less impactful for most people.
From the killer perspective it's usually more annoying to deal with Iron Will in most cases though for the "anti-tracking" type of perks like this.

So what you're saying is... I should pair Lightweight and Iron Will... 👀

Lightweight is a complete waste of a perk slot in my opinion.
I got matched with a green rank killer a while ago who wouldn't stop chasing me for a over 3 minutes on Ormond (we all know what scratch marks look like on Ormond) and despite breaking line of sight and running Lightweight with Lithe AND running through the main building and out in the open (while breaking line of sight multiple times) said green rank killer still managed to track me.
Haven't used it again after that match.

My problem with Lightweight is that you can't tell if it's doing anything for you at all. Did you lose the killer because of Lightweight or did they just screw up? You can't be sure.

Well, I used to run Lightweight when I cared if the killer saw my scratchmarks. I can say I did tend to lose the killer more when I used it, but I also know now that I am using up a perk slot just for the offchance that the killer loses the tracks.

Almost useless. Useful only if you dont have any other perk to equip.

It's not terrible. The primary tracking tool within DBD is scratch marks, and lightweight minimizes them. You need fixated to truly appreciate the perk however.

Its one of those perks that is hard to gauge whether or not its effective/doing anything.
Personally I run it on my Ace for not real reason other then it fitting thematically for me, I have planned to give every perk a unique home for as far possible.

I don't have the VOD, but I have a memory burned into my mind.
"I have not seen this survivor all game, and when I finally caught up with him, he had lightweight".
All it takes is running fixated to note that it does eliminate your scratch marks significantly faster. Will it help directly in a chase? No. Will it help overall? Absolutely.

Lightweight goes great with dance with me/ lithe/quick and quiet. If you break line of sight during a chase and vault something you escape most of the time.
The effect: Vaulting without noise notification; 150% speed for 3 seconds without scratch marks + scratch marks after that disappear 3 seconds earlier than normal. You can even lose experienced killers with this since almost nobody expects this build.

Lightweight + quick and quiet + lithe + Dance With Me

Regarding the video, it really doesn't seem like it cuts off almost half of the duration. It looks way less. And therefore I think it is not worth it

I pretty much have 3 fixed perks I always run, and then the 4th slot I switch around to help mix up my play style (and if there are specific challenges).
So I used to use Lightweight sometimes in that 4th slot, but once fixated came out I quickly realised how little difference it makes, so now I don't bother with it.
I do use fixated sometimes now though, that extra speed while walking feels nice.

:)
it’s actually better, imo, to have longer lasting scratch marks with Iron Will. You can really screw up tracking for someone and lose them in a jungle gym if you break off the loop in a unique way

Lightweight is very useful on lower ranks and against bubbas. Against any killer that relys on scratchmarks rather then info perks. I had killers that followed me across the entire map and back instead of patrouling gens.

This is why I get more use from lithe/dance it’s me/quick n quiet. Killer chases and you fast vault and immediately turn a corner — you know that you’re not leaving any scratch marks until your lithe burst expires.
I’ll often look back and see the killer still sniffing around loops and searching lockers.

Lightweight is incredible if you can control your scratch marks properly. Personally I run it with Fixated and Sprint Burst so I can plan any mark jukes amd make a lot of distance at the same time. Sprint Burat and Fixated are already good together too so you've got a great trio. Bring Vigil and you'll be set.

Sprint Burst + Quick and Quiet + Lightweight + Spine Chill is my favorite "you will never find me" build.
Let's say you were working on a gen:
Spine chill gives you extra warning that the killer is coming, sprint burst let's you get out of there fast, quick and quiet let's you vault something during your escape without alerting the killer, and lightweight means the scratch marks will already be fading by the time the killer gets to the gen you were working on.
You get huge distance on the killer and plenty of time to walk away once sprint burst wears off and go and hide.
Obviously this doesn't work as great against doc or a legion who's in fenzy and has killer instinct active.
Also, you have no "defense" perks if the killer still manages to find you, but that's the whole point. You're basically counting on the Killer having a hard time even locating you, and wasting a lot of time looking in every bush and locker.
