What are your worst encounters with toxic survivors or killers?
Once upon a time, I played against a legion solo, looped her without taking a hit for a good while, and after I blinded her she DC'ed. She/he then proceeded to tell me to eat poopy, die, slit my wrists, record it, and send it to his/her snapchat. I only managed to record the endgame chat. I personally, thought that this was very funny in a way because of how upset people get over games. I would post the video on like, YouTube. However I don't know how to edit out the persons name and snapchat.

As survivor, a deathslinger seemed to recognize me and my friend, we usually duo queue. He face camped each of us while he had an ebony Mori, slapping us and shaking his head. He didn’t get to mori any of us and the last survivor got hatch. We laughed it off, it was funny. Turns out it was a killer we previously escaped a few weeks before that.
As a Killer, when I was a baby I had a rank 2 Feng (I was rank 16 at the time) who flashlight saved each time I tried to pick someone up. I literally couldn’t hook anyone so I disconnected LOL :( Now I’ve learned to face walls each and every time I pick someone up, even if I have lightborn

As Survivor, I've had a Trapper message me pre-game on PS4 telling me not to use Claudette. I asked why and he said, because you're HER. Literally, just that. So I got a little confused because I was using her Silver dress, which is not going to hide me at all, so I said, what's the issue? Shes my favourite character and I'm just using her for the cosmetic I unlocked. He then proceeded to target only me, facecamped and tunneled me to death, then proceeded to let the others live. He messaged again after that saying his reason, which I won't repeat here because it was beyond racist. I couldn't beleive it honestly.

Today 2 Claudette’s DC’ed because one of them got hit by the killer. We really need bots like on mobile.

Well that just sounds dumb from the trapper's part. Sucks to hear that lol.

Did you report them?

My worst encounter with a Killer (and believe it or not MOST Killers are great, polite even post game) was a Ghostface who slugged me down. I was the last Survivor. All the others were dead or had left. There was a Hook right nearby, and I didn't have DS. The Ghostface proceeded to dance around me tea-bagging me for 3+ minutes until I bled out. There was no reason for it; if he was waiting on DS to go away (I didn't have it anyway) it doesn't take three minutes. Nope, this guy was just a mental defective. Mercifully these types are rare. Most Killers I talk to at the end of a game are polite, friendly and seem stunned when Survivors are polite and nice back to them. That is not their normal experience. I've not had a bad post-game experience with a Killer at all, only a few encounters in a match like the one listed above.
The worst Survivor experience? Well that is a horse of a different color. There are just SO MANY horrible encounters with entitled, racist, sexist, entitled Survivors that I don't know where to begin. I recorded a game the other day where Hackers were using something that let Bill get up as many times as he wanted and the Dwight was LITERALLY invisible. He went around doing Gens and I could watch and hear them powering up but not interact with him. Hackers are pretty bad, but as idiotic as that was.... some of the chatter I used to get. Other people have too, where they tell you they hope you get cancer and die, that your pets perish that your family die in car accidents. There are the ones that go into their rants to try and shame your behavior using ethnic or gender slurs. I mean, I'm sick to my stomach just thinking about how many HORRIBLE piles of human garbage I've run into among Survivors that I can't, for the life of me, pick you a single worst one.

I did, both in-game after the match and via messages on PS4. No idea if anything happened since I'm guessing on the PS4 side, he just got a slap on the wrist and a 24 hour ban.

Fresh new experience.
A 3 swf team with 2 OoO and burn midwich. Insulting me in end game chat because y tunel and camp and he said:" is a map and perk is not toxic"
2 -
Not the worst, I suppose.
Survivors DCing immediately after being discovered, not even hit yet.
Killers DCing less than 30sec into the match after old Ruin was cleansed.
Today a Rank 2 Billy w Undying/Ruin DC’d about 4min, 3 hooks, an 2 gens into the match after I cleansed 4 of his hex totems on Groaning Storehouses.
A Billy went ballistic on me after match (I NEVER play Claudie) when I played Claudette to get a Daily, happened to find a key in the basement chest of Gideon, then proceeded to fortunately find the hatch during a lengthy heated chase. He called me EVERYTHING, then accused me of being “the typical Blendette who always blah blah blah!”
Toxicity usually comes post match chat.

Prior to EGC, I got taken hostage by a survivor who refused to leave the map when the game was over. I couldn't catch him, so I was just stuck there.

IMHO: "Toxic Survivor" is just a redundant term. You can just say "Survivor". :)
Jokes aside, the survivors that stand out are actually the decent ones. Good players who are good sports. Toxic players are just so common, if you play Killer even casually, they stop bothering you as much. You just note the toxic ones and, in a 50/50 situation, go for them.
Today had a losing game as Trapper. I was running Noed, so I downed 2 at the exit gate. I remembered one pointed/tbagged... the other was fine... so made my choice. May have only gotten 1 kill that game, but it woulda been the one I'd choose of the 4.
But when you inevitably get frustrated as killer, take a few minutes, calm down, come back - go to your strongest killer, slot very strong add-ons, slot Mori, and have a wank-off game. Try to make 2 or more DC. I find nothing cures "toxic blues" more than a brutal survivor game.

It was a long time ago, but I once had a killer down me then camp me till I bled out And it wasn't like my team didn't wise up and punish him hard by doing all the gens after 2 attempts to raise me. I guess he didn't like something I said on the forums or something.
There is literally no reason to do that other than spite. Hook camping I can understand, especially with over-altruistic teammates. But waiting 4 minutes for a guy to bleed out? There was no point to that since they added hook respawns.

The last few days I’ve been getting an unusual amount of IMs from other survivors telling me I’m crap and accusing me of hiding in closets all game. I literally have only been using them when people are getting hooked in case of BBQ. Is that frowned upon now or something? One of these guys actually texted me “HE ISN’T USING BBQ!!!” Hard to believe this guy was a red rank because it was plain as day he had BBQ, and even sent him a screen shot to prove it. Think he was just pissed that he died so fast and needed someone to blame. Think he was playing with a friend because I had another guy in the same match also accusing me of hiding in closets. Don’t know how I did that and still get 23,000 bps (more than either of them), but if there’s a way somebody tell me!

Back in 2016 with the game was Peer2Peer I made a second account just so I could play Nurse. This was before any sort of reporting was even a thing and before a report feature was added. Even so some of the things I dealt with BHVR won't deal with.
I was ddos'd on a few occasions and I've had enough people actually harass me outside of game by making droves of accounts so I pretty much made a second account to play Nurse so I didn't have to deal with it. It didn't surprise me when I frequently saw the N word or I'm told to off myself but at least with the report feature most of those degenerates keep their mouth shut.
The report feature made this game a little better but it still isn't enough in some regards.

Bruh that sounds rough, it is true though that there is DEFINITELY a lot more toxic people on the survivor side and I have met quite a few of them. It's important to just ignore and laugh at them if they get mad at you for playing a certain way.
2 -
Well, that sounds kind of mean though. To recover from a bad match as killer, you try to be toxic and make a new group of survivors who probably aren't toxic rage-quit? Did you mean that you switch to your favorite killer and try some sort of wacky build that may not be good but is fun? Sorry, but the way you wrote this comment was a bit confusing and you probably didn't mean exactly what you said...I hope. Also, yes tbaging and pointing are things that I also find a little annoying sometimes, just know that it helps you more than it is fun for them because they get less distance from you.

I think that those are what the community calls salty survivors lol. If you hide because the killer probably has BBQ, that is not in any way a bad decision to make besides, you are only going to hide for a few seconds and come right back out. Also, it is not of the upmost importance to hide in a locker to avoid being seen by BBQ because remember, the killer has to choose somebody to chase which is not always going to be you. Just be alert if you are sure the killer has BBQ and be prepared for a short time after he/she hooks somebody.
0 -
Yeah, that seems like the average daily salt of DBD lol. Just know that if you ever do go against people who are literally wishing death and other morbid things upon you, just laugh at them and ignore them.
1 -
What a moron that guy is.

Usually when he hooks somebody I am working on a gen, so I always assume he’s going to come for me. 90% of the time I’m usually right.
1 -
If either killers or survivors do this, make sure you record the game because I am pretty sure if it has been past like 5 mins you can get them banned for stalling the game. I actually had a game like this recently as killer where the survivors were tbaging and being toxic, and ended up losing the game VERY quickly. It was on Ormond and after I set up my web of traps I went to look for the remaining 3 survivors at the time. Spent at least 5 minutes looking for them before I started recording for some reason. And about three minutes after recording, I went over to the killer shack basement and found ALL of them. smacked them on hook and nodded my head so much afterwards lol. I didn't report them because I felt like it was a waste of time since I didn't have enough recording.

I've not received many toxic messages. The worst I've got is just a simple "Nice tunnel." (Which I did tunnel her, but she had Decisive and it's not like I kept going after her after hooking her a second time. She popped a gen in my face after I hit her, and I wanted to make sure she knew that wasn't safe.) Almost everyone else has always sent pretty nice messages, even this poor guy I face camped because I thought he had OoO (but it was just Bitter Murmur because I forgot I was using it cause I hadn't played Leatherface in a while).

You don't have to be toxic, but yes, running your best killer with you best build and best add-ons... + an Ebony Mori should basically guarantee a 4K if you slug on the last 2 survivors (unless they have a key) and don't play too badly. Also, many survivors will view burning a Mori as toxic no matter what (along with 500 other rules they have for killers - see the Parody videos), so the only way to "not be toxic" is to never use them.
Speaking from experience, it's therapeutic to do a "No Mercy" game as killer from time to time. Otherwise, you can easily get beaten down by bad matchmaking and toxic survivors and wanna quit the game.

Recently I played a game as Doctor on Midwich. First time I used Static Blast someone DC'd. Everyone else DC'd before the first hook. Game was under 2 minutes. And then in end game chat I was told "my brain is leaking" by one and "######### #########" by another. That video is up on youtube now.

Okay, I see what you mean because I still bring stuff like this from time to time because it is fun (for me at least). If I bring something like the ragequit huntress build, I will never go off on survivors because they are being toxic towards me in game because I brought a very unfun build for them so it's like ehh what did I expect?. (unless they start to wish death upon me lmao then I will resort to logic and reasoning while reminding them that this is a video game). What I meant by being toxic is like nodding your head or smacking people on hook trying to get them to kill themselves or DC. It all depends on the context of what is going on for something to be considered "toxic" in this game. Like if you trap a dweet in a corner as Billy, nodding your head will be like a hehe gotcha moment, not really toxic but just funny. In fact, when done in a way that wouldn't be considered toxic, the game much more funny and enjoyable for both sides. Just know, that if you bring a really strong build such as the ragequit huntress build, expect toxicity such as tbagging and salt in the endgame chat. Just have fun playing the build, regardless of what it is, all everyone wants is a fun game so please be somewhat nice and not toxic.

Sounds like someone is still a newbie hehe (not that this is a bad thing) or just really lucky. I assume because I have 1400+ hours and I have gotten SO MUCH toxicity from both killers and survivors. Although, I will admit I love seeing salty endgame chats. Not because I then go off on them and tell them they suck or anything, but because it is funny when you bring logic and reasoning into the conversation and they then have nothing to say for themselves lol.

Interesting, send me the link if you will please hehe.

Having been on the receiving end of "Sorry, had to take my frustrations out on you after getting wrecked last game." many many times, I can say it's totally awesome being used as killers emotional punching bags despite having done nothing to earn such behavior.
1 -
I feel ya, it happens sometimes and you just have to suck it up.
0 -
Honestly, I'm less concerned with what survivors say (especially now that I've disabled chat entirely) and more what they do.
I'd rather get cussed out a dozen times than face yet another smurfcomp.
0 -
I get that. I don't apologize for it. That's just condescending and rude. It just is what it is, and all you'll get from me is a GG after it.
Candidly, you're just getting a small taste of the killer life for that game when you're matched up against Survivors in SWF running meta builds. I don't have sympathy for you - suck it up. Next game will be better for you.
1 -
Yep, Because having sympathy for other humans is just too complex for some people to handle. I get it.
2 -
I'm just on PS4, so we don't have End Game Chat. That's probably largely it. If you want to send a message on PS4, you have to type it out with a controller. I imagine most toxic people are just too lazy.
0 -
I have sympathy, that's why I'm sitting on dozens of Moris, more than any other offering. But on occasion, I'm going to use all the tools at my disposal for a quick and dirty win... deal with it. Heck, maybe even try some of that sympathy you apparently have to understand why I'm doing it... since you're the expert on sympathy. :)
1 -
yeah I know, just be more alert when a killer hooks somebody especially when on a generator.
0 -
I have sympathy. That's why I'm sitting on dozens of Moris, more than most of my other add-ons I think. I don't run them often, but once in awhile, I will use all the toys at my disposal for a quick and dirty win when I'm feeling a little frustrated. Deal with it.
Or maybe even show a bit of that sympathy yourself and understand why I'm doing it - since, apparently, you're the expert on sympathy and have plenty to share! :)
0 -
Ah, I see. So if you are messaged by someone it is because they are really desperate to tell you what is wrong with how you played lol
1 -
Sir, can you please stop mentioning me in posts just to delete them? I don't know if you're purposely trying to flood my notifications or what.
1 -
Sorry - it's the forum. It's eating my post each time I post. Not sure why, it's not like I'm cussing or anything. It must be triggering something.
Suffice it to say, agree to disagree.

I once had a killer write me (PS4) and just started straight up calling me a ######### ...you ######### and me and my swf group need to leave his lobby..he then wrote me 4 more times with very demeaning words before the match started. I thought it was weird to say the least I'm solo for one lol so no swf here. It amazes me the way ppl think and act.

Just had an utterly obnoxious toxic duo to face.
They had the match in the bag. one more gen to go, last 3 gens far apart, and yet they and the other two (a console swf, perhabs, not certain) kept focusing on this one gen in the shack, all the while flashlight clicking and teabagging me. it was so obvious they tried to get me to DC, but i'm stubborn.
It ended with a 4k, and yet these two went all 'ez'... and then didn't take to kindly when I wasn't biting. They complained I suck because there were no long chases, and I was just 'mate, you lost a match you had 100% in the bag, and you blew it for the sake of being obnoxious. Good riddance'
they proceeded to hurl slurs at me.
Guess some people don't take kindly to being unable to annoy others.

Most of us on PS4 use the phone app to message other players. It’s a lot easier!

This was after my first game as Spirit. I caught him in the exit gate healing a bit too far from the exit.

I've had some higher ranked survivors be toxic to me a lot when I play Killer. Rubbing in the fact I'm not as good as they are. It especially happens when I try out a new killer and don't really know what I'm doing. I remember when I bought Michael - my first match was against toxic survivors. It happened again the other day when I bought The Blight. Didn't know what I was doing, so of course they had to be toxic to me because I'd miss my attacks sometimes. No one is allowed to be new to anything. You're just supposed to be an expert immediately.
I've also had a few Killers be toxic to me. I don't know if it was because they had people be toxic to them prior match or what. I remember doing a generator once then being hooked and slashed while on the hook and being camped to death. And I don't know why. I literally started the match, did one generator and the Killer acted that way towards me.
I'm of the mindset that if someone is toxic to me in game as a survivor, I will be toxic back as a killer. But only for the ones doing it to me. I've hooked and camped a few survivors and I didn't bother any of the others. I remember playing Hillbilly once and I caught this Dwight and hooked him. After he was saved, he decided to jump back and forth across a pallet for 5 straight minutes, causing the sound cue to never stop. I eventually got him and either hooked him or he DC'd. Then his toxic little friend also DC'd when I caught them. The last two I let finish gens and leave because they didn't do anything to me. They even let me hit them so I could earn some more points.
2 -
Well I have a claudette bias if you are a claud you survive.
2 -
This is both sad and funny. Sad because there are tons of people like this and funny because of how he reacted over a game lol. Just laugh and/or ignore people like this. Or even better, remind them that this is a game, that usually gets them upset.
0 -
Nice one dude, for not backing down lol. I love end game chats like these because it is so funny talking to people like this.
0 -
That is what I do often as well, it feels great being toxic back to someone doing the same.
0 -
Can't really think of any worst one, just mediocre bad ones.
1 -
Yeah that has happened to me too, the killer assuming I am in a SWF group just because I am flashlight saving, or because saves were very coordinated (thanks to kindred for that). I as a killer have even gotten upset like this. Thing is if I am mad I just say "gg gl on next" and leave lol not berate people with "I WILL KILL YOUR PARENTS".
