Chapter 18 Licensed??
For once leaksbydaylight was wrong and said chapters 17 & 18 would be licensed.
Obviously chapter 17 was an original so will chapter 18 be licensed?
Anybody heard anything?

We pretty much wont know until official reveal.
leaksbydaylight was not completely wrong though, they always said that this was something that could get changed and they used the current code they could see at that moment. Since this was proven to be unreliable, we don’t really have any way to tell. Which is kinda awesome because I can’t stay away from those leaks and now it will be more of a surprise for me

Funworld man is really hyping people up and using the hashtag he has since reserved for Scream related news, with scream 5 coming out its possible we'll get a full scream chapter but im not sure how it would work unless they added another ghostface (not a crazy idea if you ask me given the nature of the character) or maybe just a map and Survivor(s?). Sideny, Dewey, and Gal could replace a killer and its not unheard of since Stranger Things has 2 survivors. With the new legendary skin thing though im not sure how likely it will be.
Speaking of Stranger things the new season of that is coming out soon so its possible that we could get new content from the show but I think at most we'll see Legendary skins and MAYBE a new map because of how popular the show is, there's really no other killer they could take from the show anyway unless there's something in the new Season.
Candyman is also a really likely candidate because Tony Todd followed DBD on twitter (not to be confused with DBD following him like in the case of Stephen King) it would also make a lot of sense with the new movie coming out but being delayed, this is who everyone thought it would be this chapter....and last chapter.
Also Felix and Blight are pretty underwhelming, have no new map, AND they didn't change the trailer for the start of the game (Which a dev, McLean, said there was a reason for). The PTB for them was also basically ignored with an outdated build being used. This really feels like a half baked chapter, more so than any other chapter. Enough for me to believe that they just threw it out while they work on something else
Finally the upcoming content of the game for the next 6 weeks is a Oktoberfest collection for Felix, Meg, And Kate and a Legendary skin for Cheryl that's Cybil from Silent Hill 1. That's it, that's all we know which is really out of character since they normally constantly push out cosmetics.
Right now Tapp is the only cop but with Cybil coming in and Dewey and Hopper potentially being added it will be possible to play a game with 5 different pigs, BAZINGA

I mean they weren’t wrong they said it’s very much possible to change since it was so early and 18 can also change we won’t know till another 3 months really but if the Candy Man leaks are to be believed it could be that so be on the look out.

my god, whoever runs the site literally sells smoke. The only thing they can do is dig into game files to found skins, period. How many leaks/supposition were given? New killer is gonna be werewolf, because the teaser was released the same day of an old slasher classic (like devs really were this careful), wrong the church map is getting reworked, wrong. The chapter 16 is gonna be candyman, because the actor started following on twitter, wrong. Chapter 16 killer is gonna be pinhead, because Cote said it's his favorite movie and the anniversary color scheme is the same of the hell raiser cube, wrong.
do not follow the leaks, they create fake hype to generate traffic on their site (of course with ads, because why not)

I actually wouldn't mind if a Scary Movie chapter would come out. I actually like Cindy and Brenda better than Sidney and Gal + they offer more cosmetics, variety of killers to chose from (sort of like it was with saw and the pig) and I bet the licence is easier to get then the one from Scream.

Scooby Doo (circa era 1969-1984) really did have good villians with interesting powers. If nothing else they can use them as inspirations for the upcomming killers. And it kinda would be cool to include them in the DLC chapter. They were detectives and they were investigating crimes in spooky places (even if it was a cartoon). You could add Daphne and have a legendary skin of Velma or vice versa and do the same with Fred and Shaggy. And you could add Scooby as a perk for something useful, and when he sees the killer he rans away but you could call him back with Scooby snacks or find him hiding on the map somewhere. And it could be like taking a hit or sniffing the killer and point out from which direction the killer is coming from, or locating teammates, or finding chests or totems, or leaving scratch marks as a diversion for a certain period of time, but also adds a drawback that you do actions slower if he isn't by your side.

The urban myth was that 17 or 18 was supposed to be Candyman, tho since the film’s release date has been pushed back, it’s possible that if his character was ready to go, then the Chapter would have to wait until 2021 to coincide with the release of the movie. Devs may have simply been leaving hints for other reasons, but they certainly were leading the community on to believe it was Candyman by dropping “Candy” and “Bee” clues(?) everywhere. Tony Todd even followed DBD back in March or April 2020.

And then imagine all killers get a legendary skin by the villians in the series. Doctor gets 10000 volt ghost, Clown is Ghost Clown, Blight is The Creeper, Hag is Which McCoy, Wraith is Ghostly Gondolier, Demogorgon as The Futuristic Monster, Plague as Queen Morbidia , etc.
