I think that wasn't necessary, he already is a good Killer, I hope this change wouldn't become too overpowered.

I kinda agree. I don't see the need for that but then I don't really think its that big of a buff to him. I think we'll see when it's live before we come to conclusions.

Eh Hillbilly can do it too but his attack is an instadown so it’s not outrageous for Blight to have this.

I'm not for or against this, but it makes sense for him to be able to use his power to break pallets. His one shotting pals can do it so I don't see why not.

Depend on the stun after but either way not too much off a problem. Lethal dashes mean you need one dash and slam so it won't be like his iridescent add-on where you can point blank destroy pallets replacing brutal strength
This will only come into play if his dash is already pointed at a pallet and you bring it down early. I assume you can still pallet stun him and force him to break it normally in that case anyway.

I think it sounds great. Blight I've found to be really meh. He has to kick safe pallets just like everyone else. But if you end up getting to a loop or safe pallet during his power and they just drop the pallet he is done for. Then you gotta wait for the slam to be over, go through fatigue, and finally kick the pallet and the process just takes too long for me to find it any good.
Not to mention his totally jank mechanics. There's been way too many times where I go to slam on an object just to find out it doesn't have collision; sending me flying past into a fatigue that lets the survivor get considerable distance.
His power is great in the open, but what killer is bad if the survivors are stuck out in the open?

Blight is extremely mediocre against good players. This change makes camping and pre-throwing pallets carry the risk of being zoned. He had too much low risk braindead counterplay. Still needs his flick and POV adjusted for him to be good.

It's a good quality of life change and allows his addons to be changed up a bit and be made more interesting. I agree with the change and felt it should have been a launch day change.
Blight needs a lot of quality of life changes and this is one of them.

So what about Compound 33 now? It seem to only add hindered and I don't think that its worth the bloodpoints as an ultra rare.

I think that his POV got slightly changed, I just played him and I could see better, but maybe that's just me.

I agree, it made sense as part of an add-on but not as based kit.
Also the change to Compound 21 doesn't fix the underlying issue with the add-on. It either needs a rework or a cooldown.

To be honest my original opinion about this was Compound 33 should just have the hindered effect as a rare addon and compound 21 should have been kept as is but made an Ultra Rare. Make the pallet breaking basekit as it is now and addons make a lot more sense now.

Or maybe they could revert it to 16 meters and 6 seconds, but it would only activate on the last slam, like his insta down ultra rare addon.

Then you haven't been playing Blight nearly as much as you should to make that call. I've been playing Blight religiously for the last two weeks at red ranks and yes, against the god-tier tournament style SWF on a bad map, you get shafted, but as long as you play well enough to pressure 24/7, you'll be fine. I've had zero issue.

Just tried the new Blight and both 21 and the pallet break are nothing too crazy, but are nice. Compound 21 is now basically only useful in chases and the pallet break can lead to some nice plays if a survivor throws a pallet down to cut you off instead of stunning you during a Lethal Rush. A small nerf to an addon and a small buff to base kit. Sounds fair to me!

Well it honestly seems ok to me it's not like the addon where you can break on the first rush, you actually need to be in a leathal rush to do it.
Seems more like a way to destroy walls and dropped pallets while you are traversing the map, not very good for zoning either but still doable.

Exactly what I was thinking. what even is this change? It sounds like a change from some rank 20 killer. Only change he really needs is a flick in lethal rush. The pallet break isn't even good. It forces you to consume 2 charges and attack into a pallet which puts you into fatique. sounds utterly pointless.

After some testing it seems more like a slight time saver, so I think it's ok.
But the animation looks really weird...

I certainly didn't expect it but I should be surprised either. This basically just puts Lethal Rush in line with Demogorgon's Shred and Hillbilly's Chainsaw Sprint as powers that break pallets while lunging/sprinting. That just leaves poor Pig as the only one whose Lunge style attack doesn't break a pallet.

There's still a slight difference in that Compound 33 also lets you break pallets with Rush, not just Lethal Rush. Without Compound 33 if you Rush into a pallet before doing a Slam off something to start a Lethal Rush you won't break the pallet.

You could say that about literally any killer in the game though? Anyone can do fine against solo Q teams, which are usually what you will be facing. The capability to beat a good SWF on a bad map is basically what defines a strong killer in this game.

I don't think it'll be OP because other Killers like Billy and LF can break pallets with their powers (that are also instadown) and they aren't OP. Billy even has good mobility like Blight does. It's still not the change we need (POV fix, it's terrible right now and I hate playing him with it). But no, let's nerf Compound 21 because tracking is everything in this game!

The difference is that Blight is capable enough to handle those strong teams at red ranks, but only Nurse and Spirit can contend with the very best of the best survivor teams. If you want to win every single game, play those two, but there are other strong killers, like Blight, who fill up the top 5 spot.

Well you hold him in very high regard then. I think his power is doggo half the time. Definitely not top 5. Hag, Freddy, Oni are just straight up better, along with a ton of other killers but those are more debatable.
His power doesn't help you at tight loops, barely does anything at jungle gyms, is cucked by dead hard even worse than nurse, and is very punishing to miss. The collision is also wonky, with coldwind I find extremely bad for collision-less objects that won't let you bounce even if you hit them dead center.
Then there is his FOV which makes it so that you are practically looking up at the survivors through objects during loops instead of being able to see squarely over them. He's got mobility, but so do a ton of other killers.

Like I said, to understand Blight's lethality at red ranks, you need to play him enough to see the value. You need to get where you unlearn old DBD mechanics and relearn his. I've had little to no issue.

I mean, Compound 21 was also insanely strong compared to literally every other aura reading add-on in the game with no real downside. Compare old Compound 21 to any other Aura Reading Add-On, and how good it was compared to the other ones for it's rarity was insane.

It was literally a wallhack. It was indeed too op for it's rarity. Myers Vanity Mirror slows him down and make it impossible to get EW3 and its a Purple addon.

I actually don't think it makes much of a difference at all because HE HAS TO ATTACK to break the pallet, meaning he must be in lethal rush. He actually cannot start rushing near a pallet, like a Billy, to break it because the prompt to rush doesn't appear when you are too close to an object.

Uh...that's nearly every killer.
What makes a killer good is the ability to go up against those annoying SWF stompcomps on a bad map and still have a winnable game. And frankly, why not?
If we are going to have SWF, then the game should be balanced around it. And yes, that leaves solo players out in the cold - but right now, it's one or the other.

Still breaks pallets instantly on first dash so it's basically Brutal Strength speed for 1 charge (recovers in 2s base) ontop of the hinder. Lethal Dash requires 2 charges (meaning you have to bump once then swing) and has it's own fatigue attached to it that goes beyond what 33 allows on pallet break. More of a QoL thing when someone pre-drops a pallet on you as you're dashing at them - so you don't have to slap the pallet, fatigue, slowly kick the pallet... then resume chase. It's not overpowered because it's not often enough and based on survivor mistakes (much like people mistiming vs Bubba and not getting the actual stun + kick out of him).

Pretty unnecessary, I'd rather have a POV change. Also, it isn't OP, he actually has to hit it with a lethal rush now, instead of his add-on that was a bit ridiculous.

I made a Dwight dc because I destroyed a pallet right next to him.
With more testing I did, I would say it's more of a time saver change than a chase tool, still nice tho.
It's just a bit funny that a stick can break pallets, the animation needs some work tbh.
