Hey Devs, when do we get the next map balance update?
In April 28th multiple maps were balanced by opening up too strong loops, lessening the safety of many other loops, making maps smaller or changing the distance between tiles. When those changes were released we got an answer in an Q&A and in forums that this patch doesn't mean that other map changes aren't coming. So I'm asking when do we get these hinted changes?
Some of the maps that were already balanced in April are still ridiculously safe and contains chain loops and multiple safe pallets right next to each other. These maps are Ormond, Fractured Cowshed, Thompson house and Temple of Purgation. In addition the main buildings of Grim Pantry and Disturbed Ward are still broken. Grim Pantry's upstairs window is a ridiculous loop and that building needs to have some of it's pallets removed. Disturbed Ward needs also changes to its window safety. Also Mother's Dwelling, Ormond, Fractured Cowshed, Rotten Fields and Thompson House need their size reduced since they are way too big for a non-mobility killer even after the previous changes. Also I'm sure that everyone is hoping for Haddonfield to be balanced in the next map balance update.
The maps that have felt fair and properly balanced after the previous map balance update are Torment Creek, Rancid Abattoir, Wretched Shop, Wreckers Yard and Macmillan maps, so thank you and props for those!

My guess is the next PTB will drop the 29th, so thuesday. And for the looks of it the Macmillan maps are the ones getting upgraded. Thats all we know so far, hopefully enough we will see some killer and perk changes.

Ormond and haddonfield need a change, and mothers dwelling and Thompson house need a size reduction, but other than that, maps are fine. Rotton fields is big, but has less loops than other maps so I think its fine.

Maps are fine, the only Maps who need Balance are Hawkins and other Indoor maps.

That's the next graphical update, yes, but I'm talking about balance update like we got in April. Here is a link to the patch notes:

Yes Rotten Fields ain't that bad compared to those others but the corn vision is enough to make up for the lesser amount of loops. I think Fractured Cowshed is much much worse still than Mother's Dwelling or Thompson House.

Maps definitely are not fine. Yes some indoor maps could be made safer for survivors I agree but those maps are few compared to the ridiculously safe maps we have. Chaining killer shack into haybale into jungle gym into cow tree into haybale into jungle gym into fence loop and so on is not fine in the slightest.

I haven't been on cowshed for around a month and I play this game enough to make a living off it. I thought that they took it out of the game for balance changes lol 😆. Anyways though, as a nurse main I hate all corn maps.

Lucky you! I can confirm that sadly, it is not out of the game.
With Blight the corn is abysmal, much worse than with Hag.

With blight everything, including grass blocks Los. Its pretty sad.

It's very funny how Ormond needs another huge balancing even though it already had one.

This was the only "balancing" it got in April:
Mount Ormond Resort: Added more distance between Maze tiles.
And you can still just chain, chain and chain loops and then there's the main building with 2-3 safe pallets plus scratch marks problems with the snow.

I would expect more balancing to happen as they rework the graphics for each realm. They did that for springwood so I would expect some changes in Macmillan when they do those reworks.

It's a killer issue so I'm guessing maybe 4 years from now.

Its funny they reworked springwood twice and it's still garbage. Too many hold w zones, not very interactive and quite boring.

The "graphics updates" aren't just graphics. They made multiple non-graphics changes to the updated maps, including the addition of: breakable walls, gaps between fences, and a handful of new totem and pallet locations. Not as big as that map revamp patch you mentioned, but there aren't nearly as many offending maps now (looking at you, Ormond, Haddonfield, and Hawkins).
MacMillan maps are next. PTB is next week, hits live servers mid-late Oct.
