Payday 2 and DBD
We all know that DBD got a bunch of masks in Payday 2, but there really isnt anything in DBD that symbolizes Payday.
Is there a particular reason BHVR didnt include some items referencing Payday at all? Hell, Id like to see a paragraph with Dallas as a survivor
Just wanted to see if a dev has any answers regarding that.

I actually never thought of this. Such a shame too imagine a dallas mask for trapper, that would be awesome.

I didn't even realize Payday 2 got DBD content. I would be so down for some cosmetics for both sides.

I'd like to see their Prestige system come here. Sacrifice all your stuff first three times, then get nothing but rewards and xp bonuses after that.

These were older masks right? Since as far as I'm aware Payday 2 doesn't really get new support or content anymore (at least not the console versions).
I would've assumed the DbD masks in Payday were a way for Starbreeze Studios (owners of Payday's dev studio and former publishers of DbD) to promote Dead by Daylight at the time.
If Payday 3 ever emerges on the horizon, I could see this kind of crossover happening once again for DbD to try and promote a new Payday game. But Starbreeze is no longer a common denominator for Payday and DbD, so best I can say is maybe.
Definitely agree that some cosmetics in this vein would be welcome either way.

The PC version got three brand new heists and is still doing just fine. Console version is sad yes, but Payday 2 is alive and well.

Actually these heists were only made because they needed money to fund PD3's development.

Payday 2 has been an absolute mess on consoles. First they abandoned all previous gens. Second they still haven't gotten the safehouse update. Then there was that scandal awhile back where the entire studio was raided by FBI or whatever.
And the same glitch with missing masks and the bag glitch still haven't been fixed as far as I know. Last I played, they dumped all the holiday heists in and called it a day.

Not going to try to defend Overkill here. BHVR cares more about console players than Overkill does. And that is truly sad.

Overkill literally cant afford console development. It's not a thing of "We wont" its a thing of "We cant." They want to bring consoles up to date but they just dont have the money.
