Blight’s alright, but i’ve returned to Clown.
I’ve had my fun with Blight, but no other killer feels as “right” in my hands as Clown.
Far too many times as Blight where I’ve come up short and I’ve thought “if I were playing Clown right now...”
- I can cut survivors off between tiles (or restrict options) and get hits in just like Blight, BUT i’m not restricted in my ability to hit the survivor.
- Clown’s power is more dangerous than Blights at loops, and I don’t have to risk losing sight of a survivor or over shooting.
- I just really don’t need to be travelling to opposite sides of the map quickly as Clown.
Well thanks Blight but I’m shelving you as an “every now and then” killer. I’ve had too many chases where I’ve missed a hit and thought “I wouldn’t have had this problem as Clown”

blight has mobility and better ability to get hits in-between loops
2 -
how do people have fun playing clown the counterplay is run to pallet throw down pallet early
16 -
As I said, I get hits in fine in between tiles as Clown. I can set up tiles with gas in the right spots, whilst leaving 1 or 2 bottles in reserve so that the survivor is either damned if they loop it, or they’re damned if they attempt running to the next tile because I WILL slow them enough to get a hit in before they reach it.
2 -
I’ve played Clown for so long that this rarely helps the survivor that much.
If they continue to try and loop that same tile with the dropped pallet, it’s not hard to identify where in the loop to gas it so the survivor is slowed enough to be hit before they can vault the pallet.
And if it’s too safe for that, then pallets will be cleared from the map very quickly.
Does going against a Clown with pretty much every useful pallet gone sound great to you?
12 -
Does going against any killer with every pallet gone sound great to you?
Playing clown is practically a flex at this point. But the crossplay survivors are so terrible it's not even that much of an accomplishment to win anymore.
2 -
As I always say, you have to have a special connection with Clown to main him. Which is why I haven't replaced him with more viable Killers. I can't just stop playing him.
0 -
I main Clown and Blight currently. Both have Pros and Cons, but I find more situations where I miss Blights strengths vs Missing Clowns Strengths. I still need more data and testing, but honestly I play both killers differently so I'll prolly main both.

Clown is really, really easy to dunk on.
Speaking from experience even vs good players.
0 -
Eventually we all go back to Clown. We can't quit him...☺️
2 -
Plus you'd have to change your name and avatar and who wants THAT hassle? 😄
0 -
He's cool, but I'll probably stick to Death Slinger, Billy and Nurse
Waiting for that next killer that will really blow me away. Whenever we will get that. Maybe I'll stay hooked to the game more than a week again.

I support your choice to switch back to your main. The game isn't about playing what's best just because it's good. You play who feels right in your hands... Blight is much much better than clown though. His chase times can be insanely short and he has the mobility to patrol gens and cross the map easily.
0 -
I think I could almost not suck as Clown... if I could figure out how to aim his dang bottles.
0 -
I prefer blight because he got more interactive chase potential imo.
0 -
I would really like to see how you play clown to learn something.
2 -
He just dissapered youtube gone forum gone
Probably got jfked or epsteined due to too much knowledge of clown or something.
4 -
I miss him too :(

Even with pallets down jungle gyms and looping gyms destroy Clown.
0 -
I don't know why but i'm quite sure OP is DD.The way they write (and love clown) is pretty much the same.
4 -
Clown is literally a clown.
0 -
What?!
Lol, they’re not a problem. Like any loop, Clown just needs to think about the survivors pathing, and make sure gas is in their way. That’s it. It just requires some thought about where bottles are thrown within and around the loop, and not directly at the survivor. And as for jungle gyms, bottles go over walls ya know...

He deleted his own account.

Pop goes the weasel is alright, but i've returned to monstrous shrine.
7 -
Yeah me too for some reason I can get a 4k with some of the most survivor sided maps as Clown, I down survivors so fast chases last like 10 seconds at most, and I've been called a hacker in endgame chat
0 -
Yikes never seen me play crossplay survivors are good too yk?
0 -
@TheClownIsKing serious question, what tier do you think Clown is and what killers are better?
0 -
I don’t really subscribe to the whole tier list thing. Most of those are born from who they’ve spent the most time playing as, to the least. Which also coincides with their understanding (or lack there of) of those killers.
What Clown does, Clown does extremely well...PROVIDED the player knows exactly what they’re doing with Clown, and are excellent at tracking/finding survivors quickly. Clown ends chases so fast that this naturally stalls gens due to how frequently any number of survivors are “indisposed”.

I still think Clown could use some smaller Improvments but i agree that i would rather play the Clown then Blight being able to shut down the strongest part of great survivor (loops survivor can run tighter then killer cuz different hitboxes).
Blight can be looped forever and great survivor dodge his Charge cuz of his low turnrate.
Also some might not remember a time when Clown was good and it was a race against time of him eating through paletes (with brutal strength spirit fury old ruin).

I can call myself grateful for Clown being my first main, along with a good handful of killers before and after him. Had I not played him alot day one, I would have the "Clown is bad" mindset like everyone else. Clown has alot of sentimental value to me, so I cringe when I see a Clown horribly make use of The Afterpiece Tonic lol.
1 -
Anti loop doesnt matter if you have no mobility to make up for it. That's why Clown sucks. I've said a million times I love the way that he plays in regards to herding survivors and punishing them for misplaying, but he is really, really bad against even slightly good survivors.
Also, to add. Blight is significantly better at punishing survivors out in the open. He can counter some loops, but most cant if the survivor uses their eyes to see where you're bouncing.
A lot of BLight players seem to think they should use their power at any loop and it'll be free. Part of learning his power is knowing when its best to just play the loop normally.

Clown can get dominated at simple T - L walls.
0 -
Don't say that. Clown is S+ tier. Can end chases so fast and with his high mobility spreading pressure all around the map. Especially on mothers dwelling and temple.
2 -
Nope.
2 -
Always go back to your main man,I used to main doctor because I really enjoy playing him,but recently I got back to wraith and i'm having a blast.
0 -
No killer should get dominated at T-L walls actually. T-L walls are some of the most balanced loops, often letting you engage in 50/50 mindgames. If you lose multiple mindgames at the T-L wall the survivor simply outplayed you. Clown can simply tilt the chances of winning mindgames at a T-L wall and getting a hit heavily in his favor. He's exttremely strong at T-L walls if you ask me.
1 -
Lol so many people trying to concince you Blight is better then Clown
This isn't a clown is better then blight post. It's just a player prefering the playstyle of a killer they already mastered to the playstyle of a killer they still are learning
2 -
He thicc
So I play him with elephant costume
0 -
For the record, I DO think Clown is better than Blight, but that might be some extreme bias.
Lol 😂
1 -
I think it would be very hard to detirmine who's better actually
Seing how Clown goes all the way to chase power with minimal mobility and Blight goes all the way to mobility with less chase power
They both do such different things
0 -
Clown doesn't get cucked by Dead Hard like Blight does so he's automatically more fun.
0 -
I would recommend doctor
0 -
The only things Clown is incredible at are annihilating pallets, removing exhaustion perks, and camping.
1 -
I also main Doc. But I’m still more at home with Clown.
0 -
He’s not great at camping at all, and is usually a desperate move.
The only thing his power can do when camping is reveal other survivors skulking in the area (when thrown high), and be lucky enough to interrupt an unhook attempt with a direct bottle hit.
0 -
Direct hits aren't difficult when the surv is stationary
0 -
When I get the rare Clown games, most of time they aren't too good with their usage of the tonic. If they use it at all. Clown also gets bullied hard. I think all Clown mains know he's bad, but we still love him regardless. We love his laugh when he cuts people, we love the Solvent Jug, and we just love playing a wicked Clown killer.
To be fair, I am worried about how they plan on buffing him. His power is too simple to be buffed without sacrificing something. If they make him worse, I'm outright quitting DBD because they somehow someway managed to ######### up the weakest and most simple Killer in the game. I have no faith in their abilities beyond that point.
1 -
He’s not bad at all. It’s as you implied: most just play him badly.
My feelings are they do actually need to be careful with any buffs to his existing power. Used properly, survivors are 100%!getting hit/going down, no question. There are very few ways to safely escape a Clown.
0 -
But... as clown you hold w and that’s it
he is worse than Legion
1 -
That only works again terrible Clown’s. The kind of Clown’s that are throwing bottles at the survivor with bad aim, instead of focusing on where they might be going, and putting gas in front of the survivors possible pathing.
