Springtrap Power Idea
Been re-binging FNAF and my want for him in the game made me brainstorm some ideas
I came up with an interesting power concept, that could also fit the lore. (maybe even use it for an original killer, sounds like a cool power)
Springtrap - 24 mtr TR 110% movement speed
Springtrap has the ability to stalk survivors, for every .5-1 seconds he stalks, he gains 1% extra movement speed. (A maximum of 130% movement speed)
When not stalking, his movement speed is reduced by 1% per second (until back at 110%)
While Springtrap is stalking a survivor, he gains the undetectable status effect.
Passive: If a survivor looks at Springtrap for (x) seconds, they are jumpscared by a nightmare hallucination and scream, revealing their location.
I think it fits his lore, stalking before ambushing survivors with great speed while also being relatively balanced due to the decay of his movement speed as well. Keeping him base 110 would keep him from being too powerful. The not looking at him part is similar to anti-ghostface where you WANT to look at him.
I think you should be punished for staring at him for too long, consider the atrocities he has committed as well as him being a rotting body inside of an animatronic suit.
Any thoughts? Even if you don't like FNAF, I think this would be quite the interesting power concept. Obviously tweaks can be made

Sounds nice, might just end up being a slightly worse Spirit though. I've never been a very big fan of the Jumpscare part of FNAF so not exactly stoked about the passive, but thats just me. Nice work.

Yeah, that's true. I know people aren't a fan of the jump scares but it is what makes FNAF, y'know, FNAF. I like the idea of this big hulking animatronic chasing you at very fast speeds, and you not being able to look at him. Gives you the sense that you're literally just running for your life

I think that's fair, but looking at the killer while being chased is a pretty big part of the chase mechanics of DbD. It all depends on the timer before you get jumpscared, really.

Definitely, that's why I left it as "X" as this was something I was too uncomfortable to give a strict timer on. It would be more of a fine-tuning thing that would have to be analyzed
