What mobile gets right with perks.

I constantly hear complaints over DS/ UB or Noed but in mobile I almost never see those. And it's because mobile does perks good. Unlike the blood web where you can more or less choose the perks you want. In mobile it's different. You get perks when you level up and you don't get the perks you want. You level up you can get anything from Up the ante to ds but you won't get DS/UB/DH/BT or PGTW/ Corrupt and Noed. Because it's luck wether you get those perks. And it teaches you to use lesser used perks and not rely on the crutch perks and makes you play better. You can main the characters with those perks sure. But it's no guarantee it'll get out of tier 1 it's happened to me. And I believe it's healthier. And because of that the quality of game is better. Feel free to add disagreements.

Disagree completely. The current system is random on other platforms, as well. I had to go through 2.5-3 million BP and got all, but 9 of the perks I've unlocked(I have 4 pages, so Im close to all) before BBQ even showed up in the Bloodweb for Blight. That didn't force me to learn to use other Perks, that just meant that I had to be frustrated for 2.5-3 mil BP worth of games, until I could get the Perk I wanted.

The reality is, Meta Perks are Meta Perks for a reason, and no amount of being forced to use other Perks will increase the other Perk's effectiveness. The strength and effectiveness of the Meta Perks remain the same, so they're always going to be the better option, regardless of whether or not you have them. If anything, the system being more random will just create more imbalance and frustrate/disadvantage those who don't have said Perks. Take it from someone who started seriously playing this game 5-6 months ago; grinding out BP was miserable on Huntress using her base Perks+Whispers, especially when I got into the higher Ranks, against skilled Survivors with Meta builds.

If you want more variety in Perks, the only solution is going to be balancing. Forcing people even further, to use Perks they don't want, will only create more imbalance and frustration.

Honestly, I think they should take Perks out of the Bloodweb completely and maybe even remove Tiers, then put them into a Perk store or something, where you just grab what you want. Theres no reason to lock Perks behind the insane grind, on top of making them completely random. Balancing them would probably be even easier as well, because people would have more freedom to use what they want, and then you have more data to work with for balancing("no one uses 'x' Perk, maybe we should rework it").

Just to give you an idea, Im up in the 80's for my XP level. I have no clue how many hours Ive played(on PS4), but I've been playing consistently since Pyramid(maybe 5 months?). If I had to guess, 200-300 hours? I have probably 20-25 unlockables yet to get on Killer, and the only Killer I have all the Perks on(which I don't now, due to Blight) is Ghostface. I just got through my 3rd page on Blight, and now my Pyramid is around level 45. Most of my Killers are between 30-40 for Teachables. Thats after a couple/few hundred hours, including the 4th Anniversary event. Don't even get me started on my Survivors(although, definitely less grindy).

So after all this time, I can only use whatever build I want on 1 Killer, 0 Survivors. That didn't teach me anything, other than the fact some perks are significantly stronger than others. And its served as everything from immense frustration that I can't enjoy(or even try, if I want to compete) certain Killers because I don't have remotely viable builds for them, to straight demoralization and not even wanting to play at times, because of how far off I am from getting to where I want to be.

I hate feeling like I have to play Killers I don't like, because they have BBQ and Ghastly Gateau's. I hate getting burnt out on the few Killers I have decent builds for, because I'll severely struggle with everyone else. And I hate not being able to play Killers I want to play, because the Perks I have for them suck.

Sorry, hit a nerve with this one. Btw, Id bet the reason you don't see the Meta Perks on mobile is because the community is smaller, plays less and is less competitive. If people put the time into mobile that they do all the other platforms and they were equally as competitive, I guarantee those Perks would be popping up a lot more.

Yeah no, I'd take the grind of the Bloodweb where I can speed up the process with offerings that give bonus bloodpoints and the ability to choose from multiple perks over "congratulations you played for x amount of time, do you want Slippery Meat or This Is Not Happening to use for the next handful of matches"

The whole RNG aspect of the grind is still an issue but not going to get into that.

What mobile actually does right is show other survivors your perks while your waiting

Having ppl know what perks you run solo q is kinda pog especially since I run camraderie a lot so ppl go hey he has. Camraderie and can play around it. Instead of going oh he had camaraderie.

Unfortunately there will be a slight chance that the que is instant but the most. Of time it'll be a fair wait

You also get to see what actual items survs are running as a killer and. Can. Leave the lobby so you don't have to deal with skelly keys (you don't see add ons or perks as a killer doe only the exact item)

It's basically the same but much slower. You get 1 perk per level at the beginning, then you pick 1 from 2 (Exactly the same as the bloodweb before they let you pick 2 per level from 40 onward). You still choose which perk you want. The main reason you don't see perks like DS is because not many people are willing to spend money on the game, especially when they can just grind cells to get licensed characters for free (which is how I got Myers). Since this takes a long time, less players are going to have access to it.
