Watch this video by Michi, the best European hag player if not the best hag streamer I've seen and go from there.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AX5AGQiNKg0&ab_channel=Michi

Start with using lots of "Distance" traps that aren't RIGHT ontop of pallets and vaults but like a full meter away. You can just instant teleport swing at to stack hits in a lot of cases and not be worried about smacking a pallet then being stunned because you didn't bodyblock it properly. It also makes looping much harder for them even when you don'tt perfectly align your traps if you stick plop a spaced trap down mid chase at a loop - especially in the middle of a L-wall/T wall window tile for example. They're the easiest to use and least reliant on perfect latency. Camera Snap traps are huge especially when you are actually forced to chase as a 110% killer, make sure you're starting to note in your head when Instant Teleport Swings aren't the answer and to wait on your teleport if you have basically forced the survivor back into you.

Being an aggressive hag is harder but far more rewarding once you get to that point on a lot of maps - some maps are still too damn big to do much more than pick a 3 gen and sit on your web though... that's just gonna take a few games to realize though

I don't play too much hag but I imagine Franklin's Demise would be good on her. Hit the survivor to make them drop their item and immediately put a trap on it so when they go back to get it before the timer runs out you can teleport to them again easily. Hope that helps.

    Draw the triangle.

Have no less than 8 traps on the map at all time.

Chase like a fat person. ie don't.

I've been watching michi's videos lately and they've been helping my hag out quite a bit.

    • The most important mechanic to keep in mind with Traps is the "Camera Snap". When survivors trigger a trap (barring Rusted Shackle) their camera will point to the phantasm. The closer their camera's vector is to being tangential to the trap, the bigger the "snap" is, causing a sharp turn into the trap if they don't instantly react.
    • Don't trap in front of basement hooks. You can do better. Trap in the corner of the basement, the one in the nook created between the stairs and the hooks. This takes advantage of the camera snap and usually delays a rescue by about a second, which is lethal.
    • Don't run effective range add-ons. They make it easier to safely disarm traps, and can lead to them triggering through walls.
    • If you're having trouble finding a valid spot to place a trap, put your back to the wall.
    • Always keep an eye out for your trap count. If you have more than five, it's time to do some buildling.
    • Don't be afraid to teleport and then immediately reset a trap.
    • You will get into the habit of looking out for the Bloodpoint notification for when your traps trigger, but that often isn't the best way. If you trigger too many traps you'll cap out the BP you can earn for triggered Traps and stop getting those notifications. Learn to look for the Button popup.
    • You can't teleport while you're in an action, so don't break a pallet if you expect one to pop.
    • Teleporting isn't always the right call. If they run away from the trap and into your claws, it's just as good.

If i remember right, unrelenting and stbftl are amazing on her, because attack speed dictates how fast you teleport to phantasm. Also, when phantasm is triggered, you should rotate camera into direction of it, before teleporting as it will make you teleport there even faster.

I also want to add that hag is probably the only killer in game than can do well on red ranks WITHOUT any perks or addons. She is insane honestly (no, Freddy is not better - he is just easier to use).

Stbfl is great on everyone, though I didn't know it dictated teleport speed. Is that why there seems to be a huge delay before moving? Always felt like lag or something because I see other Hag's teleport instantly. Do you try to attack after teleporting to get yourself out of the animation lock?

Oh no no, i'm not a hag player myself - i just go these tips from all kind of youtubers and streamers. Can't test them either because i prestiged her recently(i'm getting blood points on doctor). But if you have unrelenting/stbftl you can test it yourself.

Play game with unrelentin/stbftl and with camera rotation to phantasm. Then play without attack speed perks but with camera rotation. Then play with attack speed perk but without rotation, and one game without attack speed perk and camera rotation. You'll see how big the difference 30/40% can make a difference (and camera rotation to active phantasm). And no, i'm not attacking to get out of animation UNLESS i can score a hit (which is sole purpose of phantasm trap). I mean you can use attack to do that, but i believe fatigue from missed hit is longer than that post-teleport lock.

There's Hag Mains, and then there's Michi. Michi is the Neil Peart of Hags. (As in the old joke "How many drummers does it take to screw in a light bulb? - Four. One to screw in the light bulb and three to talk about how Neil Peart could've done it better.")

This is a very good hag guide, i wonder how you found it and who the dude is that made it.

She is one of my mains. Heres my tactics with her. Find a 3 gen, preferably near basement and trap the living crap out of it, pressure the survivors, but never out of range of the three gen teleport. Once you get the first down, it usually becomes the trading game.

Get a survivor on hook, chase anyone in the web and defend those gens. Constantly reset your traps. Pop, corrupt, bbq, and sloppy.

    DONT PLAY NICE WITH HAG

Use the traps to aggressively slug, three gen, tunnel and camp. Find a section of the map to defend and don't compromise. She's not a normal Killer. She doesn't chase. She doesn't loop. She doesn't even play the same game as everyone else tbh.

Hag is pretty much a spider. You set up your web and wait for stuff to happen.

Don’t encourage Franklin’s Demise.. I’ve lost far too many brown Medkits and Broken green Keys. I enjoy the simple things😩

I've been trying Hag again, lately, but I just cannot seem to get teleport hits to land. I always feel a second too slow, even when I know they're going to activate a trap. It pops, I teleport and swing, they're already out of range. Or I find I'm not even facing them.
