As a Demogorgon main, please tell me why...
Why does he:
-Scream, wince, cry and shout at the top of his lungs every single action he is doing? Hitting a survivor, BAHHHH. Stunned by a pallot, BAHHHHH. Hitting a Generator, BAHHHHH. Missing a basic attack, BAHHHHH, teleporting, BAHHHH, walking, BAHHHHH. Why?
-Why can survivors remove his portals when other killers like Freddy have portals that aren't removable (unless the survivor does the generator) at all? It's already a power that is barely adequate, yet the survivors have a way to disable it easily.
-Why are his red add-ons so trash? You could've made one of them make his teleporting completely silent to the survivors, but instead, you give him 10 seconds or such of stealth which is completely irrelevant when, BAHHH and STOMP STOMP STOMP come with the ''stealth''. I love the idea of a interdimensional monster being a stealth killer in a way, but instead, he's the easiest to hear from a mile away.
-Why is there no cute jumper skin for my Demorgorgon? He's a good boy and deserves a cute jumper.
-Why does his shred attack not work mid-air or off of hills? Why do I hit the invisible barriers in the sky? Why am I not allowed to lunge 20 years into the future onto a survivor across the map and down them?
-Just, why?
Thank you,
-Demorgorgon Main Wanting Justice

Because survivor need help against demo

Help, against one of the more average-ranked killers in terms of strength? Where's this help against Spirit, Nurse, Deathslinger, or the other killers who are stronger?
3 -
- I've always said that needs to go
- You can place portals ANYWHERE, where Freddy is limited to 7 points, at the start of the game and reduced in number as the game progresses.
- As a Pig main, hi. Let's talk TRASH RED ADD-ONS.
- He hasn't been out THAT long and with licencing, that's also going to be an issue.
- No clue here. Probably a coding thing so you don't jump onto objects.
3 -
You’re meant to use portals as traps in addition to mobility.
Place them where there are LoS blockers, and then use Of The Abyss to detect survivors on those activated portals. Take advantage of Oblivious by approaching via those LoS blockers for easy hits, or shorter chases.
I like to place 2 near gens, 1 out of sight. If I come back to that gen and notice activity but can’t find them, I try to trick the survivors to draw them out by teleporting to the nearby portal in the hope they believe I’ve moved across the map, and immediately rush to try and close the portal I entered.

Amanda's letter is one of my favorite addons when combined w/murky reagent..
And to OP
don't forget how Undetectable is very detectable since his footsteps are earthquakes
1 -
-It's still weaker to Freddy, considering he doesn't need to set up his portal up, doesn't give a global audio cue to the survivors and can even fake the power to trick survivors. Oh, and the power is only deactivated when a generator is done.. which takes 80 seconds.. compared to disabling a typical demogorgon portal.. yeah
0 -
This is also why survivors get a global notification that you’ve teleported. A demo player is meant to take advantage of that info to trick survivors into closing portals you have intentionally set up as a red herring.
0 -
As for his add-ons:
1) Demogorgon no longer gives a audio cue to survivors when teleporting, no matter the range/distance.
2) Demogorgon's shred becomes a one-shot ability when used at the maximum distance (or just about).
What y'all think?
2 -
Which doesn't work because unless demo has traveled to a portal survivors can't see nor close them.
Aka you can't set red herrings because you'd have to use it first kinda defeating the point of being a red herring.
Also demo not being able to override old portals means that going for red herrings(Somehow) and they get ignored then your stuck with a lot of dead portals and next to no map mobility despite your long set up.
1 -
Let's actually look at the portals:
1) You need two of them at minimum to teleport, meaning the survivor actually only needs to cleanse one of them to deactivate a particular route you want to take.
2) They give a large audio cue for the survivors, unlike a stronger killer who doesn't even need to set up the route... cough... Freddy
3) They can be disabled quickly.. in fact.. optimal survivors do not even bother because the screaming basically tells me ''Run, I'm coming for you!''
4) Your teleporting ability is decided by whether the survivors cleanse the portal or not. Once you've put it down, you will not regain it unless the survivors destroy it and as the game goes on, you'll find that you'll miss 4-5 of your portals. Freddy's teleporting ability is still as powerful throughout the entire trial, only deactivating at the end-game.
The only advantage Demorgorgon have over someone like Freddy is that he is able to place his portals wherever he wants, but considering this is generally near generators, that strength becomes minute as Freddy gets a teleporter that CANNOT be disabled unless the generator is completed.. which can be difficult with Freddy coming back to it all the time with PGTW.
Demogorgon's portals are lacklustre, yet are more punishing to use than Freddy's, it's funny
5 -
You forgot to mention Demodoggo's global scream when opening a locker. It's hilarious when you think about it. Every global killer sound basically informs survivors and lets them know it's safe to work on gens for that very moment so Demogorgon mains basically have to think twice before opening a locker as it could speed up gen progress (potentially).

A lot of killers have crappy add ons.
Other killers have powers that can be removed by the survivors. Trapper, GF, Hag, plague, and too a lesser degree Oni
0 -
Except Demogorgon gets the least value out of all those killers you've mentioned when his power is destroyed.
Trapper can have add-ons to punish disabling his traps (bloody coil)
GF gets wall hacks for like 5 seconds
Hag gets your literal location for a couple of seconds and can teleport to you
Plague gets a hyper huntress power that makes survivors run for the hills
Oni gets a stall mechanic if they heal
What does Demogorgon get? Oh right, he knows which location they are in general, but its nowhere near the value the others get.

Demo still has his lunge if his portals get destroyed. He has several portals in fact and he doesn't have to walk across the map to pick them up. They can be replanted quickly and they only get destroyed after you have used them at least once. Once trappers traps are disarmed he is literally a M1 killer. The bloody coil is also an ultra rare add on. Majority of trapper players agree you need to bring at least 1 bag. So trapper is even more add on dependent than Demo. I have to disagree and say Demo does not have the least value when his power is destroyed.
I've been using Demo more lately and thinking of getting him to P3 next. I love running MYC. When people make a rescue they tend to freak out when they see "expose!"

If we're considering regular trapper, sure, he gets less value for the survivors disabling his traps, but he gets more value for when his power is used right (i.e a survivor gets trapped)
Demogorgon has to walk across the map to set the portal up again though, when you consider the travelling time, setting time and teleportation time, it takes him a while to activate his power, whereas, someone like Freddy just holds a button and gets a teleportation for free.
I don't focus on his portals too much, they just give the survivors free time to do generators if I actually want to set them up.
0 -
I would like that in the game

Considering travel time and setup time I still think trapper has it worse. Demo starts with all his portals and if they get destroyed he gets them back.
Trapper can only carry 1 trap by default. Has to plant it. Walk a country mile to pick up another. Walk somewhere else to plant it. If it gets disarmed he has to walk back to it and pick it up or rearm it. His traps are often easy to spot while demo's portals are invisible until used.
I mostly use the portals for travel to apply map pressure. Plant one when I spawn, patrol to a gen, drop another, hook someone and plant another.

- I think the devs wanted to go for a "monster" vibe (which unfortunately doesn't work in this game, at least not the way they're trying) and that Demo was the result of the devs trying to shorten the gap between solos and SWF (which unsurprisingly is hurting poor Demo a lot, not sure why they haven't removed most of his mapwide audio cues and brought his footstep sounds to the level of the other Killers).
- Demo can place his portals just about anywhere and can be used for mobility.
- The devs had a habit of making terrible Ultra Rares around the time Demo was released (which unfortunately spread to 95% of his other add-ons). It looks like they might have broken that with Blight though. Also I don't think the devs were thinking straight when they made its Undetectable effect. Demo's supposed to be quiet, yet all you hear is BOOM BOOM BOOM.
- Licensing. That's pretty much it.
- Probably so you can't jump onto obstacles or get outside the map.

- I like the wah's, though thats probably because I play much more aggressively than most other demos and it doesnt really hurt me
- I agree, it is a bit odd. Perhaps they should allow the killer instinct thing to work on unopened portals, so that way it becomes a tradeoff of map speed vs detection vs portal amount.
- The 10s stealth is much better than people think on more aggressive demos, and the aura reading is... decent, but not UR quality.
- Licensing
- I've had no issues with this? He works just fine on this part for me; in fact its a little much sometimes.

Demo can hit his shred from the air now(Its niche but god does it feel good to hit), honestly he doesn't need any buffs. I absolutely love him the way he is rn, and with the right build he can be a monster. I know survivors are gonna roll their eyes at me but I love ruin/undying tinkerer and stbfl. The only two things I would like to see but aren't really needed are:
- Rat liver base kit (Being a gray addon it kinda is anyways)
- Addon Rework
Other than that I'm pretty contempt with him at the moment.
P3 demo main just so my opinion doesn't seem invalid.

I think Demo just needs a slight change to his portals, be quiet while Undetectable and an add-on pass.
0 -
I haven't played Demogorgon yet, but because you made me ugly honk laugh with the BAAAAAH thing, burning question on point 4: Does "jumper" in this case denote a sweater or a dress? It's regional, clarification needed, please and thank you.

I mean, Freddy's teleports take him to key locations, and he no longer needs to go to them once they stop being important (eg: the generator is repaired). On top of that, Freddy passively affects survivors over time. If Demo's important portals get closed, he has to walk back over there and drop it, and that can be costly.
1 -
If Demo was replaced with the Hunter from L4D, like 1:1 transplanted hoodie mcleapy boi into the game instead, I don't think a single person would complain
H'e just too slow and clumsy for it to make up for how loud and telegraphed he is. Good killer in theory, but the absurd amount of map pressure he sacrifices every time he interacts with anything hurts him far too much.

I used to play a bit of pig in my day, and while the tape recorder add-on is dookie, the letter is quite nice as you are
1) crouched and barely visible through any wall over 2ft tall
2) and can see people through walls like a Chinese PUBG player
0 -
Because people want him to have masses and masses of counterplay while they have relatively none because that’s balanced in their eyes.
1 -
If you mean Ruleset No.2, then yes. Completely trash.
As for Amanda's Letter, you lose a majoriof your primary power for the same ability that Wraith has on a PURPLE add-on, and he's faster in his stealth form!
0 -
Why the portals are not unlimited in the number of poses, like Freddy or Hag... if you need them well no, you have to wait until they are destroyed... like the Hag before, and personally it's ultra boring !
The perks... Surge 32 meters, when you know that the map is too big, and the perk too small to touch 2 generators....
It needs a buff, the gates are quickly destroyed too...

Don't even talk about bad red add-ons. I main nurse and pig so I don't wanna hear it.
0 -
I honestly forgot Pig had UR addons
0 -
What if Demo's portals were only "exits", and he could begin the teleport from anywhere? That would significantly reduce the amount of time needed to complete a teleport, and give more options for where portals could be placed.
0 -
He wants to scream and shout and let it all out.
0 -
Aint nothin but a dream state...
0 -
It's because they're trash and detrimental.
Ruleset No. 2, which a lot of people want as BASE KIT, forces survivors onto generators to activate the box aura. Onto generators. That you do not want completed. Ever.
Amanda's Letter reduces the RBT's to ONE trap and TWO boxes. It can still be molded by other add-ons, but still, one extra trap or box. Same timer. Gives me 12m wall hacks. Literally Wraith's All Seeing - Blood, but takes away my primary power and is worse for me because Wraith has a speed boost in cloak, whereas I have a speed penalty in crouch.
