After hitting a survivor. Do you keep chasing or let them go?
Most killers i see will afyer hitting a survivor keep chasing said survivor
I generally go back to pressuring gens or finding other survivors.
I know this is mostly based on circumstance but what do you do most often?
And what is the most optimal of the 2?
I usually let them go because the speed boost will most likely take them somewhere safe

It depends. If I can down them within an additional 15 seconds (or less) and I'm not worried about a Generator popping, sure I'll put them down. Sometimes if I'm in a target rich environment I'll just wound a bunch of people. In general, if you can put them down quick and you haven't already over committed to that chase, you might as well get the hook.

I'm a Blight main, so my go-to move is the classic M1 followed by a rush so their speed burst is useless (depending on whether I was chasing them normally to begin with, obviously) but typically I do not leave a survivor alone unless they're exceptional loopers and are wasting a lot of my time or if I can pull of a surprise move where I see another survivor who won't expect my lethal rush out of a chase into their face.

Depends on the killer really.

Always try to finish the chase unless I'm playing m1 simulator
I mean Legion

Mostly depends on the killer. If i hit someone as slinger i will 90% keep chasing. However if i hit someone as Demo/Hag i will most likely go for another person

Depends. If I feel like a gen is about to pop or another survivor appears, I usually cut off the original chase to apply pressure.

entirely dependend on the situation im in.
i wont hit them and then wander off in the distance for no good reason, but for example in early game if i have multiple targets i will spread the damage to get as many off of gens as possible.
without having someone else right there though, i will always stick to the chase.

it depends on the scenario, what map, perks in play, rng tiles, position, potential chase time ect.

Like yourself, it’s highly situational.
If I catch a group together, and my kit has no other way of wasting survivors time, then yes I’ll hit n run to injure as many of them as possible. I like to run Coulrophobia together with Sloppy/Mangled add ons quite regularly. So survivors either waste LOADS of time healing, or I get shorter chases later if they stay injured.
And committing to a chase with a survivor I found on a gen will depend on how much repair progress that gen has.

Matters upon the situation, do i have thrilling ready to use and can i down this person quickly? If the answer is yes to both i always keep chasing unless i have a gen to protect

If that survivor tbagged me I would chase them forever, hook that mofo and watch that pos dies slowly.

I usually recloak and use obstacles to throw them off, then catch them from a different angle, if possible.
If there's Healthy Survivor #1 that i'm chasing, Injured Survivor #2 happens to be nearby & i then hit Injured Survivor #1, there's a high chance that i'll go for Injured Survivor #2 next.
Injured Survivor #1 just got a speed burst while #2 here runs at regular speed, and i like being rewarded for hooking Survivors, so #2 is the fastest way to get those bonuses.

Depends. If I have sloppy and it's early game, I'd try to split pressure as much as possible. If I know I can down the survivor, I'll continue chasing. Usually I'll take at least a pallet if not a hit before leaving.

I hit people and then immediately disconnect to assert dominance
