Playing The Blight without the MMR is a little terrifying.
I just purchased the Blight chapter, and after leveling him up a bit I'm eager to play him, but given the poor state of matchmaking and the level that I'm at (12), I tend to be matched with red and purple rank survivors. From what I understand the Blight is one of the hardest killers to master, but also one of the most rewarding. I realize it's going to take time and practice, but I certainly don't want to be wrecked over and over for hours until I get better. That's not exactly fun.
In case I don't wait until the MMR is back up, any tips for a new Blight player?

Run the brown add on Shattered Monocle until you've got the game sense to know where you'll land. It helped me out a lot at first.
You're still a standard speed killer, so you don't have to try some 400IQ lethal rush play just to win. If you're not feeling confident, just don't rush. That said, Blight's power is central to his character. The more you rush, the more comfortable you'll get using it.
Some players have figured out how to cut survivors off in loops with Blight's power. It can be done. In my personal casual experience with Blight I like to bump into a wall with my right or left shoulder, then dash at them until I catch up and down them. It's really simple and a hit is a hit.
You'll grow on your own, but don't beat your head against a wall if you fail a few times. That's Blight's job.

Thanks. I'm a casual DBD player, as I don't have hours upon hours to invest into any game. I know the original MMR wasn't perfect for everyone, but it worked out well for me. The best thing about it was that it gauged how often you played with each killer, so if there was a killer you hadn't played with before, you weren't going to be matched against a high-ranking swf. And for a casual player like myself, that's a nice thing to have.

The best thing you can do as Blight, in my experience, is to be unpredictable.
Start a chase right away, and finish it quick. Then, either commit to the second chase, or spread pressure around the group. Do the opposite next time.
Use his power in strange ways, like bouncing off the wall the Survivor runs past only to go around the other end of the loop, bounce back around the initial side, and hit them on the way through. Blight thrives in the sheer chaos of a group who can't predict his next move, and he also excels in chases as a 115% speed Killer. All around, he is great.
