Disconnect
Not understanding how I’m getting loaded into match after match after match and at least one, sometimes two, people are disconnecting at the beginning. I know it’s happened to my cousin a few times on his PlayStation and PC, the game just crashes. I’m on XBOX and I haven’t disconnected yet, and I haven’t noticed the killers disconnecting either!

I play on Nintendo Switch and while I have not been disconnected during a game but I have been noticing a steady increase in players disconnecting. 1-2 players will disconnect at least a 1/3 of the time and I do not know if their systems, the servers, or if they are just rage quitting. I do find that frequently post match an error message will pop saying 'error' and I lose connection. I am praying that it doesn't happen to me during a game.

Played a few games last night, only one didn't have an unintentional dc, and one even during loading and was cancelled. On Xbox as well. Typical I'd say these days.

It is because many players feel that they can go ahead and disconnect because they do not like what they find when they load in. Hex Totem popped within the first minute of the game? DC!, Don't like the killer or the map? DC!, Get downed first before any gens done? DC! it doesn't matter if it's killer or survivor both sides do it and it's rampant now. Are there some legit disconnects in this? YES there is! guess what.... people have DC'd enough that the legit disconnects suffer because of the amount of DC's that happen. I can't say why the dc's happened to the games you were in but it's really a bad thing going on out there. BAD.

Well, I just disconnected from a match as a survivor. Killer was a tunneler ghostface with bbq+chili and ruin (always them). I got banned for three minutes for disconnecting. Just went to play CS.
And it doesn't matter if the penalties for DCing increase: if I am against some overpowered killer who is also a toxic player, I'll disconnect. I won't wait around for 20 minutes having no fun.
Everytime I get banned is less time I play DbD. Joke is not on me.

Just got back to playing matches, after spending more time away from DbD. No toxic killers, no DC. Don't expect me to put up with your ######### - and by your comment, you're one of those toxic players I mentioned. 😘
