Hex: Undying . Ultra overrated? or nah?

I see everyone saying that you can just run undying and ruin over pop in all cases. But it is still just ruin. If survivors stay on gens/you play a killer that cannot easily take people off gens then this combo is still underwhelming. I only see a few killers that can effectively use this combo.

I'm just wondering why people think that it is op and should be nerfed.

The only problem I see is the aura reading. Beyond that it's fine.

All the perks do something on their own, if it's the only perk you equip. Thrill of the Hunt for instance still gives you noise notifications and bonus bloodpoints. Retribution still works normally by itself. If you took off the aura reading off Hex: Undying, though, it would do literally nothing on its own.

There is no issue with the perk.

Undying’s biggest flaw could quite possibly be the Aura reading.

Almost every “undying match” I’ve survived in the killers have been paying far too much attention to the totems, not finding me when I cleanse & hide, or if I multi-juke the cleanse, while in the meantime gens are being completed through the totem paranoia.

The same strategy for ToTH applies effectively to Undying when the killer just won’t stop worrying about their totems.

Yeah but then I feel it has people not use thrill of the hunt and retribution as much pushing them to the side.

This perk is awesome. I would say that it creates interesting combos with other hex perks. Makes overall killer's perfomance much better.

It's really overrated. Undying goes within about 60 seconds and then Ruin not too long after.

It was good the first week but then survivors started taking totems seriously and the devs shadow nerfed the perk. Call me a conspiracy nut if you want but i went wednesday - sunday and I had this on every build and only 2 or 3 games in a 5 day period did Ruin get cleansed first. So I stopped using it until yesterday when I had a daily and didn't know what else to take on the killer and yup 2/2 games Undying gets cleansed first.

Before the hotfix it was a true 50/50 but now it's almost guaranteed to be Ruin. Pure chance or bad luck doesn't explain this. They programmed it to have a higher chance of taking out Undying if it's paired with Ruin.

I do feel it's a bit overrated. It can be strong, especially with Ruin. At the end of the day, though, it's a Hex. One bad spawn and you're down a perk. If you're running Ruin, you'll be down two. As for the aura reading, is it really that strong? I rarely ever get a use out of it in that fashion. If I do manage to see somebody with it, it's one of two situations. Either I'm already in a chase, and it lights them up right in front of me, or it's on the other side of the map, and they're cleansing.

It's a good combo with Ruin, sure, but it all comes down to rng. And I hate the rng in this game.

Ruin/Undying is either the best perk combo in the game. Or will lose you the game single-handedly

All depends on how hellbent the Survivors are on cleansing totems.

    (Google Translate)

Você tem sua aura lida por 6 segundos sob demanda porque você passou por um totem que você muitas vezes nem sabe que existia e você não é notificado por isso, parece uma muleta

Changing the aura reading to reveal only when interacting with the totem seems to me much healthier and free of frustration

I hate to lose chase for something I can't plan mindgame, especially for something that requires no effort (cof cof Noed Freddy cof cof)
