His low FOV is intentional. It's the downside he has to overcome in exchange for having the best mobility in the game.

Every killer has a weakness. Some move slower, some have long cooldowns. Blight's weakness is that his camera is at ant level.

Embrace it. Who cares how tall you are when you can boink-boink-smack?

So somehow it's justified that he cannot see survivors when they can clearly see them, he gets screwed over by grass that other killers can clearly see over, and he cannot track scratchmarks in maps like Wreckers Yard?

If they want him to have a low FoV, he should be the size of Hag. Otherwise, it's not really justifiable.

It would be cool to have him in dbd. But thinking about it, it would be super hard to track survivors as chucky.. tall grass, debris, walls. He will need someone who carries him and throw it to survivors to stab them.. hahah that would be a cool feature.

Haha you’re kidding right? Blight has a cooldown and a lower turn rate.

This low POV is the devs making a dumb decision. He is taller than the Survivors and cannot see over loops.

Just goes to show that you're not paying attention to the lore. The serum has altered his body so much that he now sees out of his testicles.

Seriously though, I have over 100 hours qith Blight at this point and the only problem with him is that he still slides off of surfaces sometimes. You can flick more than 90 degrees even without addons if you predict it, and he CAN still see over cover.

That is a stupid reason for his low FOV. A killer shouldn't be punished for the way they were designed. And if that punishment makes a core gameplay mechanic harder ( aka, SEEING OVER EVEN THE MOST BASIC LOOPS) Then the dev's need to reevaluate their position on blights camera height.

Plus his model height is taller than a survivor, while his camera height is barely nipple level with most Male survivors.

Me. I care about how tall I am since I physically cannot play him without literally becoming the Plague and vomiting everywhere due to his height and movement. Oni has a similar issue but he only gives me headaches and nausea, not full on sickness like Blight does.

Edit: from the amount of typos I make you really wouldn't think English was my first language, would you?

I'm pretty sure the low FOV is there to make the Blight feel a lot better when he is Rushing from object to object. Small crates and barrels would feel pretty strange to bump into if his FOV was higher up imo.

I would love him too. But there is no denying that it would take some effort to make him work.

That said Blight has shown to be really good so while it's his biggest complaints it does show that a low pov is not as detrimental as first thought if you have a power that can make up for it

It's probably this reason. I'm guessing BHVR will just make blight shorter.

    He needs some nerfs first.

If not being able to see scratch marks because the low FOV literally gets blocked by grass is a intended design choice that wouldn't even surprise me at this point.

These devs have made some of the most questionable design changes and "bug fixes" I've ever seen in any online game I've ever played.

Remember insta flashlights? Remember risk free flashlight/pallet saves that could land at any point in the animation, including locker grabs? "Bug fixes"

Now the Huntress notification is being changed and called a "bug fix" nearly two years after someone (I believe Horvath or someone else on a Q/A stream) said it was an intended design choice.

Also like to add that his FOV is a good 2 feet lower than his eyes in his rist person model. Things he can visibly see over/is taller than in 3RD person are above the top of the screen in 1ST.

Honestly I've given up any hope that the devs would ever address this. I guess I'm just not going to play blight.
