Are the devs ever going to balance Haddonfield?
This map design is so survivor favored is laughable. Will there ever be a rework to it?

I always win with trapper on that map. A good map for him with narrow walkways and predictable pallets/loops. Good fun as a survivor too.

Was on it yesterday. One of the tall fences in the right corner of the map made me groan in frustration. It went from the back end of the map, where the little shed resides near the house and gen, stretched aaaaaaall the way down to the street, with the pickup truck loop.
God, do I hate that map. . .

I’m beginning to wonder if the license holders are somehow preventing BHVR from balancing the map.

Balance landing was already ruined so killers didn't have to try too hard on the map and most windows are now sealed. I don't think anything else needs done to it.
Dead zones are not fair and balanced.

Hi yes allow me to contest this with every fibre of my being. I despise the map as survivor because it feels like there's not much to work with except houses and a fence so it's just hold w. As killer it's difficult to reach places, PLATFORM GENS, and you're countered by holding w. Don't get me started on the fences.
This map is bullshit. It needs a rework.

This is the one map that I feel they need to rework from the ground up. It doesn’t even look that great aesthetically.
I keep wondering though if the fact that it is a licensed map means we’ll be waiting a while. I hope I’m wrong.

Just no. Hold W Meta, is so strong on this map. The pointless houses that you cant go into are terrible. Litterally can go around those 2 maybe three times if theres a decent pallet or a cheeky vault nearby. I play both sides and it feels so awful as killer and feels too easy as survivor and i always pity the killer. Then theres the chance The Great Wall of Laurie can spawn and those are just ridiculous. The safe house isnt the new iteration either. Basement house can bad at times if against balanced and good loopers but not always. Just alot of just out of date crap on that map.

Best way to handle Haddonfield as a killer is to meme or tab out in a corner. This largely also depends on killer+build. With Trapper, Haddonfield is actually fun to play. But most killers struggle a great deal. It is way too large with all those buildings and stuffed with strong loops as the buildings themselves and these ultra long fences.

Thing is as pyramid head and Nurse I don't mind it. I don't have fun but it could be worse (*shudders in saloon and hawkins*). But as like every other killer I play- Bubba wraith doc etc- it's just torture. And not the good type.

Not until Ormond gets one. THIS map is crazy survivor favored. A huge map with safe loops. Good windows in the main building. And gens that are the most seperate from each other than in any other map.

On the one hand, I want Haddonfield to be reworked because it is my least favorite map to play on right next to Ormond. On the other hand, it's really useful for getting me to put down my controller and take a break (and it's very important to take breaks while gaming, sitting too long is unhealthy), soooo... not sure which way I hope it goes, really.

Unfortunately, instead of actually addressing core balance issues with the maps, they're slapping breakable walls on them and moving on. Badham still has absurd fences and they've done two passes on it. I suspect Haddonfield will get the same treatment, specifically in the house of pain.
I'm not particularly hopeful. Most map changes have been two steps forward, one step back. Reduced size on many maps, but created huge deadzones and still have strong tiles that easily chain together.

Ormond is also a very good map because of the Idea and Design, like Haddonfield.
Well Christmas is soon so I use in december everyday a Ormond offering because it fits very well.

No I hate saloon because I can't see anyone, once I've seen them it's fine and they die in like 3 blinks (not blink cycles, single blinks) but finding people in those ######### bushes makes me sad.
Edit: but yeah as pyramid head it's significantly worse once I've found someone I can't even use my ######### power to down them bc the map is so garbage.

With all these dead zones the Devs made on the "balenced" maps I say holding W is a good strat.

As someone that mains Trapper I love getting Haddonfield with him. So easy to catch people in traps on that map.

I'd rather them address Mount Ormond first since that map is unbalanced af for killers that aren't Nurse or Spirit!

The only thing that needs to be addressed about that map imo is the RNG of the infinite that can spawn there and the Asylum in general! That map is literally Shelter Woods with a building slapped in the middle of the map
