Watching the stream, Ethan confirmed they are not giving Myers any love, but they are considering taking a look at his addons. Can´t wait for him to have even more useless addons and a cooldown on top of his hard cap for stalk. SMH...

I would say they are probably gonna nerf the tombstone piece.Which would be fine in my opinion.
Hopefully they improve all the other useless addons he has

Nah, I'm done. I can't anymore. Ps4 is broken, myers is gonna get nerfed, most good perks are either behind paywall or require hundreds of hours to get, and the boring events. i think i'm gonna walk away. If it wasn't for the fact of that ######### lawsuit this game would have been forced to be better. Sadly my time with this game is over

As you know, I'm a Myer's exclusive Killer (at least until I get to Rank-1 with him), and I'm just not going to worry about this until it happens. There is no point in assuming they are going to do things wrong.

I wish I was able to share your optimism. This stream is the first incident where I´m legit pissed at them, especially at Ethan. This guy is completely out of touch with what´s going on in the game, he only cares about his precious statistics.

To some degree, he has to do that. We don't know what's going on in the game either. Until people decided to vent on the company over the Halloween Event, they have been at each other's throats in violent disagreement over the problems of the game for months. Everyone who is emotionally invested is biased and compromised. With that in mind, most game companies like this try to divest themselves of the emotional appeal and just go by statistics. I'm not saying it is the right thing to do in ever case, but I understand why the method exists.

To be fair, Nurse and Billy were both considered very strong killers with Addons.
Myers on the other hand, isn't considered a strong killer, and arguably is on the same tier as Bubba before his buff. Much like Bubba, they could buff Myers addons. I honestly doubt they would nerf Myers given that he is a C tier killer and given how popular he is.

I’d wait until we have more details. This is exactly how I felt about Doctor when it was announced he was getting changed.
I was so scared they’d nerf him and he’d be completely useless. The Static Blast was announced and I thought that they really had nerfed him. But when he hit the PTB and live servers, I realized that I was wrong. He had gotten a big buff. The devs even fixed one of his major problems from the PTB! Then they buffed him again in the next patch to where almost all of his add-ons were useful (the only useless one, Scrapped Tape, stayed because it had a cult following) You and Myers could easily go through the same thing.

He used Escape and usage statistics to defend Object of Obsession.
i.e. It's not used often and that people who use it tend to die, so it's okay.
I'm sure Ethan's an awesome guy and a valuable member of the dev team, but if he actually thinks OoO is okay he has no clue what this game is like and focuses too much on statistics.
I will happily admit I stopped watching the stream after that comment, so if he rescinded it later, feel free to correct me.

From what I can tell Billy was widely considered to be very very close to that delicate sweetspot that could be considered balanced in DBD. Now his addons are ######### up and his basekit got hit, very few people play him anymore despite him having been one of the most popular Killers before.

Wouldn't Myers be better with just removing a tier to power up? I don't know, it just seems like it takes too much time and when you have survivors on gens it can be annoying. I can see why people don't wanna use him. I know they're not the exact same power but the way they did Oni seemed balanced, least he gets his power by applying damage, which then applies pressure and not having to rely on stalking aka staring at survivors.

Full disclosure... "I" think OoO is fine too. I don't think the problem is OoO, but rather the rise and ever increasing potency of the SWF abusing it. I think it would be a shame to destroy the Perk when the problem really isn't the Perk. :) OoO has been around a long time and only recently has started to be hardcore exploited by a particular group.
You also have to remember that we only get little snippets of what the DEV are really thinking about. I'm sure they are WELL-AWARE of how OoO is being used by the SWF. For all we know they are aiming to balance it with some other new Perk for Killers or the eventual balancing of a SWF in a different way, i.e. objective based. What I'm pointing out is his comment about OoO being ok doesn't mean he isn't aware of the problem. It just means they aren't also talking to us about how they mean to address the problem. It likely is not by going after the Perk. Does this make sense?

Unless they make every Killer always undetectable the problem that Object is in SWF can´t be addressed other than changing the perk.

And to a degree they kind of do that. You can take Insidious or the Third Seal. When I play Maniac Myers (any Myers that can get to Tier-3) I often take Hex: The Third Seal. The first thing I do is use my Tier-1 to close in and hit the OoO. This blinds them to my Aura even when I Tier up. I generally have found the other Survivors by use of their Spotter. They can spend their time going after my Hexes (and they do) but I spend that time snowballing and killing them all. And if I'm worried about the OoO I can tunnel them out right then and there.
I don't think it is too far-fetched to think that there won't be more Perks or Add-on(s) that will do the same.

I envy you. Not only for seemingly not facing multi object teams, but also those that are incapable of noticing when the perk icon lights up to tell them where you are. I´ll never run Insidious or HTTS. They are so bad I don´t even know where to start.
Sorry, you´re obviously flailing for a straw of hope to hold onto but I´m just too pissed right now to do your efforts justice.

What addons could they even touch? They are probably the most balanced.. yeah you have unlimited tier 3, after you sacrifice 4 gens stalking the whole time. Wall hacks compensates with reduced speed and basically no lunge. Insta moris take a long ass time to stalk.
I don't see an addon worth touching.. but pretty typical trend as of late

Honestly blown away that they don't see a problem with a mediocre stealth killer with no Undetectable on command like every other steath killer to counter OoO.
No problem with him being 110 and having to hope no one sees him and runs while Ghostface and Wraith can immediately go for chases. Stalk is slower than Ghostfaces, has less utility than Ghostfaces and is barely functional since dedicated servers. No chase power after powering up his timed power like Oni.
No plans, awesome.

Just remove Evil Within 1, rename EW2 "stalk mode" and EW3 "Evil Within", give him undetecable while stalking (no stalk in Evil within mode).
Boom, potentailly viable on not huge maps.

The glass addons are kinda lame, aside from that I would consider Myers perfect tbh. Yeah he isnt top tier but him and GF are the only killers that make DBD feel like a genuine horror game.

I'm not flailing at all. I'm telling you what works for me. Their flashing HUD doesn't give them near the information their Aura is giving me. The statistics show that most OoO users die in the match. That doesn't surprise me. I've never had one get out alive, that I remember, since I left Green Ranks. Hex: The Third Seal is a very underrated Perk. I have a great old time watching people (even SWF) run around trying to find each other slugged or on hooks without an Aura to guide them. Even the great intel the SWF provides each other is different from the homing beacon of an Aura. In fairness, I rarely take Insidious because I play Myers and don't need it. However, I have a friend who loves it.
You seem to be under the mistaken impression that I'm debating you. I'm not. I don't care if you find these effective or not; I'm just telling you what has worked for me and a couple of other people. If you want to rant and rave about the OoO, be my guest. I think the Perk is a problem when abused by SWF and on very specific maps in particular (Midwich for one). I'm in the Red Ranks right now, trying to get to Rank-1 with Myers. It has been a very long road, and I assure you that I see OoO all the time. Most of the teams I fight seem to be SWF and if I can abide the power of the Perk, so can you. The Myers abides.
