What do I do in this situation

Lets say all the gens got done, one gate opened and theres 1 survivor left. You just hooked them but they had deliverance. This survivor is the obsession and is crawling towards the gate.

How do you counter it?

    Depends on how far the gate is. If you hooked them right next to it, risk the DS. If you didn't, and there's a minutes worth of time, well, wait it out.

    Pray they don't have DS? Honestly, if they have DS at this point, you're screwed no matter what you do, unless you have Rancor/Mori. And this is the exact issue with DS. You pick them up in this situation, they escape. Leave them, they escape. It sucks but what can you really do at this point? Until the devs address things like this, you just gotta try eat a DS early I guess.

    Things like this are why I try and gobble up all DS's early on, although I know that isn't always possible. With a gate done and one surv left the game is pretty much over and I try to meme anyways.

    I mean at that point they already were able to do the gens and open a gate and the Adam ( cause who else has delicerence) has used half his build to get into that situation while not being hooked all game.

    Pick him up and if he had DS say gg in the chat and move on to the next game. You still won that match.

    if there is one survivor left they can't deliverance unless you hook them while someone else is on hook, just slug for a bit and hook them after the other person/people are dead

    If its the last survivor he wont be able to use it.

    If theres no one to make the save the game automatically kills you regardless of what hook state your on.

    But

    For to answer your question if your trying asking for a counter to a possible DS. You go stand at the exit gate and wait till the very last second before they crawl out and pick them up.

    Do a basic attack with a 360 to try and get them to miss and hope.

    Other than that, nothing you can do. Its literally the only broken thing about DS imo. It should deactivate once you pass the exit gate to avoid this get out of jail free card.
