These are unnecessary changes to DS.
When you are unhooked it is active for 20-30seconds, DS will stay active if you aren’t doing anything other than basically anything other than running from the killer
DS will stay active if you are running at all, because stealth killers can play around it like that.
The way Scott changes it is perfectly fine

Why does DS need a nerf again?
5 -
I feel like making ds function like deep wound will be perfect
1 -
because it's thematically a defensive perk and is primarily used and abused offensively to give survivors 60 seconds of free time to do gens or unhook other players or heal. This combined over a team of 4 grants survivors a full 4 minutes of uninterruptible gameplay if paired with unbreakable, enough for 1 survivor to do 3 gens by themselves.
6 -
That would be nice to, but I hate not being able to see anything in deep wounds.

I meant just the timer, how if u keep running (chased or just running not doing anything productive) the timer pauses. The visuals can f*ck off i hate deep wound cuz of many reasons but the timer is finally balanced neither side can abuse it

Ds is only a problem if you get unhooked end game cause its a get out free card. It should deactivate once you pass the exit gates.
Other than that ds is fine.
If you keep getting hit by ds its because your a bad killer.
Watch any good killer streamer like otz who will eat multiple ds every game and still gets a 3k with a hatch escape or a 4k almost every game. The man has like 3 or 4 killers where hes won 50 games in a row.
Or watch oh tofu where this man avoids DS all the time. He assumes everybody brings it and just plays around it.
The killer is faster stronger with a special ability. A good killer will kill your team 8 outta 10 times unless your on a swf with comms and everybody is experienced.
So tired of everybody complaining about DS. Yeah sure every now and then some god tier swf team runs you over because you fall for their tricks and commit to the survivor that just got unhooked and he body blocks hops in a locker ect.
Git gud. As a rank 1 killer and survivor DS only problem is getting unhooked at end game.

Know personally I don't have to many problems with DS. But since others do here's my idea 45s in tier 3, but the timer pauses during chase.

It doesn't need a nerf, it just needs to be changed, because it IS an anti-tunnel perk, however the killer gets punished when they aren't tunneling.
I want it to deactivate when someone else is hooked, when fully healed, and when touching a gen in exchange for the timer to not go down in a chase or while slugged, and for it to be a 3 time use perk.
1 -
Check 4:25, OhTofu does have problems with DS and wants it changed.
Same with Scott Jund, in both of these scenarios they aren't tunneling.
Sure, otz does eat decisive strikes, but he doesn't deserve to most of the time, because most times he gets hit by DS, he isn't tunneling.

Im not saying DS cant be a problem. Both otz and scott both get 4ks the majority of the time.
While you might lose a game or 2 due to a ds most experienced killers will just eat DS early game.
And i dont watch much scott but otz does tunnel. Ive watched multiple games where hes like lets eat this ds he goes for the pickup but there is no DS and he hooks anyway.
Its give and take some times you you eat one. Theres been plenty of games where i havent even got to use my DS and wasted a perk slot.
Its not impossible to play around its just annoying.
Be smart and remember who you hooked last and ds isnt a problem the majority of the time.

If they make tunneling and camping (before EGC) bannable offence you can do whatever the hell you want with DS until then i dont want to hear anything about nerfing DS.

I call bs on that. DS runs for too long. If you apply high pressure on survivors without tunneling, you still have to deal with it. Against good teams, you have to keep up the pressure, which means constant traveling from A to B, down survivors on different sides of the map, and travel back from B to A. This is usually the playstyle I enjoy the most, that's why I only play high mobility killers. And still, I have to deal with DS a lot, cause I downed someone at A, hook him, travel to B, hook another one, go back to A, down the rescuer (yes, I always go for the rescuer first), hook him, find the person I hooked first, down him and get DS'd (ah yes, if I slug him he will be insta rescued (new WGLF ftw) or he runs UB). No tunneling but I still get punished. Sorry I don't have time to set up a watch to count down 60 seconds from hook rescue every time...I am sweating way too much during my games!

If your downing people that fast just eat the ds. Simple as that and now the survivor is only has 3 perks.
And i call bs that you down person A hook them travel cross map even with billy down person b, travel back cross map and down person c who made the rescue, hook them and then somehow manage to down person A again to eat their DS, and honestly if you do i mean quit crying you've gotten 3 hooks in under 2 minutes, nobody is doing gens. They need the help. Instead of picking back up person A who might have DS, make a big brain play and slug go back to person B on the hook where person D will almost certainly be. Bam now the game is won if person A doesnt have UB assuming you get there before they make the save.
If you have that much pressure early game and manage to still lose the game DS wasnt the problem.
On another note why not just slug them? Let them use there UB or have someone come make the save. Thats still pressure. Someone still has to get off a gen to come help or the survivor uses his UB and you didnt eat his DS so now that survivor is down to just 2 perks.
As a rank 1 killer DS is rarely a game changer for me. Maybe i just know how to play around it better than others but honestly i either eat DS early game or totally avoid the chance of getting hit with it late game.

6 ways to nerf DS.
0 chances of it happening.

All six of these "recommendations" are just ways to allow killers to tunnel without any issue.

The other day I was playing Doctor with my meme build since I like to two hook potatoes and let them farm while play semi-serious versus good survivors.
I hooked someone, got into another chase, finally managed to hook them while their friend came to unhook in my face. I let the recently hooked person go, and went after the unhooker. Downed them pretty fast since I already hit them once while they were unhooking. I then proceeded to pick them up and got hit by DS.
I didn’t tunnel, I just played well, why should I be punished with a 5 second stun and a lengthened chase?
I then ended up killing the DS user and farmed with everyone else.

Reduce the time DS is active for to 20 seconds.
When you start working on a gen for 4 seconds, DS deactivates.
DS is not active while in a Locker.

Can I put it out there that we use OhTofu to push needed changes, because the Dev's would sooner listen to and support the guy that mocks the community before actually listening to the actual community 🙄

DS is fine and doesn’t need to be nerfed, in my opinion.

Then borrowed time body blocking should be ban-able as well... Right?

Giant no. This idea was really badly thought out.
- This means you can't run Sprint Burst and DS so it's not a good idea.
- That's fine.
- Easier for the killer to slug so no.
- Easier for the killer to tunnel a survivor. This would be too much with STBFL.
- So no more jumping in lockers to avoid moris. If they change moris then I won't be against this.
- Again your making it easy to tunnel a survivor.
So let's look at points 4 and 6 together. I can tunnel anyone to death with no consequences. Add to this the fact I'll probably get about 5 STBFL stacks off them and it's easy tunnel win. Play a stealth killer to also avoid BT and I win.

Borrowed time and DS would have to be reworked. Because they would be useless.

Let me just state that I completely hate DS but it's a necessary evil. Removing it will just result in low skill killers facecamping and tunneling. BHVR needs to figure out a in-built mechanic to dbd that replaces DS. Maybe make it so once unhooked, if the killer walks within point blank range of another survivor and doesn't attempt to hit them and clearly tunnels you (not just hitting you straight off the hook, killer's can't just giveaway free unhooks) then the entity will stun the killer for 3s. Obviously there should be more requirements for it to meet but I cba to come up with the perfect mechanic. Probably broken as hell and abusable but it's something and overtime the devs could work with such a thing that both sides can agree with. Better than just keeping awful perks like BT and DS in the game that just frustrate the entire killer-playerbase but are basically required to play survivor at high ranks.
tl:dr Remove the perks, add a counter-tunnel mechanic to the game.

the only ppl complaining about DS needing a nerf are killers who have to tunnel for a kill and DS helps the survivor being tunneled and if you are a killer tunneling you deserved to be DS'd plain and simple theres counters to ds use them

If DS gets nerfed but ruin undying stays then there’s a serious problem.

DS helps against tunneling (which is lame) but I don't think it should trigger if pulled out of a locker. Otherwise it seems a valid choice
