Remove DC penalty

Options

At least remove it for killers as it doesn't screw over any other players. And it doesn't make sense to have DC penalties active with the current bullshit matchmaking

Can you tell i just got cucked by matchmaking? Rank 12 killer vs 4 rrank 1 survivors

Wont get any better unless you face higher ranks. Plz no. I was tired of all my games having at least one dc. At least now its every other game.....

Yeah sure, let's disable that DC Penalty again and have everyone DC because 'X Reason here'. No thanks. I get plenty of matches I don't enjoy, but I'll stick them out because it's just a game. DC'ing over petty reasons, I mean, why bother even loading into a lobby?

Yeah true. Posted this out of frustration really, didnt think it through

Although my original post was out of frustration, i do think that a killer can easlity get paired with way more expirienced survivors that make the game super unfun. As you said, many games can be this way. Removing the DC penalty isnt a good solution but its all could think of until the new matchmaking gets reimplemented

No just stop quitting. Play the game end of discussion. If not then quit entirely if you don’t like the game that’s what a lot of us did.

I'm still not sure how they could make a proper matchmaking with the frequent rank reset.

I also don't like the fact that DC penalties exist in a game that's this unstable but meh. I don't crash often but I know a few people who are now getting frequent crashes and their penalties are racking up at no fault of their own (their systems are fine btw, so don't even think about responding with that. This game is not optimised well, and combine that with the wackiness of UE4 and you have a potential recipe for disaster.)

Oh well, at least my game no longer mysteriously crashes when I load into Midwich. Instead, my killer controls completely freeze up and I can't move my character until the survivors escape! I just watch videos in the meantime until the match is over. Weird bug, huh?

No, punish survivors for being AFK and remove the ability to suicide on hook. Also, mass disconnectors should be forced into another queue with other mass disconnectors, so they can play against each other and have longer queue times. You shouldn't be allowed to ruin the game for everyone else without punishment. I'm prepared for all the backlash.

Thing is, in a lot of games, you have the option to know whether a game is going to be casual or hardcore before you start the game. DBD doesnt have that. DC'ing is literally the only available mechanic to leave an unfun matchmaking. This isnt a ranked game, this isnt a super competitive game, its classified as a party game. Meaning that the game is intended with fun above competition.

As long as there is no mechanic to surrender early without ######### over your team or ruining the fun for the opponent, dc's and suicides on hook are all we have. A dc is actually the more "respectable" way to quit for your teammates, because at least you kept the killer distracted and bought you some time while a suicide on hook gives the killer a reading to where you are.

    No.

They won't. They treat symptoms, not causes. Survivors sprint bursting to run upper Grim Pantry windows that somehow still exist while you get visibly autoaimed or false sawed on chainsaws twice in a row? Gotta have people stay in that game. Don't fix the blatantly broken stuff in a timely manner and punish people who don't want to deal with it.
