So do people who sit at doors once they're open just have a lot of free time, or...?

Had a game go pretty badly, all four survivors made it to exit gates, beat me real good.

So I notice they're healing at the exit gate before I get there, so I decide to just let them get their heals off for points. I go and get something to drink and use the bathroom real quick (not in that order).

I come back and there's like 6 seconds left on the timer and they're just now leaving. I assume they were just... sitting there? Waiting? Do you guys not want to get into the next match or something? I can't imagine it's very exciting just like standing there for 2+ minutes.

None of them were teabaggers or clickers or anything during the match, and they said the typical gg afterwards, so I can't imagine they were just waiting to teabag me, as they seemed perfectly nice. Do you get more points for late escapes or something?

I play solo so if everyone made it to the gates I’ll do some victory teabags, head nods and points at my teammates. Sometimes you get all four survivors in a circle crouching, pointing and nodding at each other and it’s fairly funny. Not for the entire end game timer though tbf.

That or I need more WGLF stacks. Or there’s one guy still in the trial and I’m waiting to see if he needs help.

If they weren’t rude in game or post-game I’d assume they were just dicking around.

They might be trying to taunt you, they might be trying to give you a hit, it's hard to say. They could be trying to extend the match because (I believe) you get more Iridescent Shards the longer you're in the match for (could be wrong on that).

That is one of the crappy parts of it. I play killer a lot more and while I try as a survivor to be nice and let them get the hit, I've found as a Killer, the survivors are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more often looking to just taunt you and then they'll duck out before you can even get the hit so they got to taunt you AND they didn't even have the decency to let you get the hit for the few points.

It sucks because I don't want killers thinking I'm like that as a survivor but I 100000% understand why a killer wouldn't trust a survivor to not be an ######### in that situation.

They might just be trying to get more xp for the rift. The longer you are in a match the more xp you get. I doubt it though :)

If I'm not full on wglf stacks I will get them so yeah I wait at the gate and hope the killer hits the other survivors first. It's basically a dice roll on which of us gets the stack. Also you get 1xp for every second you're in a round so...idk free XP?

Human behaviour/lack of respect to taunt other humans. You did the right thing wasting there time and not playing up to it.

Just a side note if your looking at survivors the survivor can just run around in a circle and get chase points even if the killer isn't moving or is afk. So some survivors do this to farm points/pips

They want 2 slaps to give you 600bp each. So take it they are being polite. They probably shouldve seen that you were afk but thats what it means if they just waiting at the gates

I personally don't mind people staying. If I've pretty much lost, I make it clear I'm letting you leave. I usually just mess around, smack them a few times and let the get some last minute points. But, when I have a game that is like a train wreck, I will just stand far away from gates, and they STILL want to sit in the gate for the full 4 minutes.

Its a problem, it kinda ruins the Aesthetics of the Game to have survivor waiting there, imo.

I think BHVR should give survivors bloodpoints based on how long it took them to escape.

Not a large bonus to make Survivors skip out of Late Game rescues, but enough to stop them wasting time.

Killers are already drowing in Blood compared to Survivors, we dont need 2 free hits etc.

Usually I stay for killer to hit for points. If it's obvious the killer isn't coming I'll just leave. Sometimes if the random teammates are being funny then we're just fooling around with each at the gate. I get that it's hard to tell survivor's intention for waiting at the gate unless killer actually be there. But I can stop waiting from now on if killers really didn't want that hit.

God forbid Killers just walk forward and chase them out instead of complaining about it on every forum known to man.

Playing Mikey the other day, they all got to the doors. 3 if them left. I normally just go back in a corner if they get out because Nea told me I have to punish myself. So I go stand in a corner. This time, this specific survivor got off the hook, DS'ed me, and was almost to the door. I stopped because it's obvious he won. He sat in the doorway tbagging me. For almost the entire countdown timer. I literally just stood there staring as I figured Mikey would do if he knew he couldn't catch someone.

This dude literally stayed there so long, he had almost no time to get out. Tbagging me. The entire time. I just stared. What else can I do? You won dude, bucking go already so I can get into a new game.

People like that need to be banned.

If you've won, get the buck out the door. Don't stand there and be a douche.

Survivors claim its to get a few more chase points, or to give the killer a free smack, but those are miniscule. Most likely, it's just to taunt the killer as in 'you didn't get me, watch me walk out the gate.'

You're not giving the Killer extra bloodpoints by waiting, in the time you wait the Killer could be in their next game and made thousands of bloodpoints.

I wait at gates until i see every survivor at gates then i nigerundayo... I only stay back to either take a hit for a teamate who might not make it without a protection hit or try and go for a unhook if they get hooked.... I dont tea bag killers i only want to make sure everyone makes it

I just ignore survivors wasting time in the Exits, no point chasing them and giving them extra points. I'd rather look for the hatch to close it, maybe snag a greedy survivor there, and/or break some pallets and use my ability to get points without raising the survivor's relative endgame scores compared to mine.

Why chase them out when I can go around the map and break pallets or close the hatch or use my ability to get points as well?

Sometimes when I play Adam and Clown is killer Adam cant help but reach out to Clown one last time before heading back to the campfire. Its always such a sad scene.

Sometimes Clown doesnt even meet him at the gate. Its just so depressing.. 🎃😭

    Maybe they're asking for permission!

Some people get narked, but to me it's extra bp, so I take it as playful baiting. Normally, after the trial I'm decent with them and they are with me, so I don't mind them having those moments.

On an exceptionally rare occasion, there is always that one survivor who doesn't quite estimate the distance between them and the exit line. Those are blessed times!

In case anybody is curious about the numbers, by the way, if a killer hits a survivor the killer scores 300 points. But survivors who escape a killer during a chase earn 400 points. So if a healthy survivor is standing in the exits and you run up and hit them, you're effectively losing 100 points to that survivor and 400 points to any other survivors in the Exit that you don't happen to hit at all. Plus if any of the survivors happen to be injured they can also score 200 points for getting a Protection Hit as well. (All this is give or take the 8k limits of course)

Basically in terms of trying to win on score it's a losing game chasing healthy survivors in the Exits. If someone is injured in the Exits then it may be worth chasing them out if you think you can stop them from getting the 750 point heal bonus (although you as a killer also score points when a survivor is healed depending on how long they were injured so it might be a wash), but otherwise you're better off scoring points elsewhere as the killer since the other avenues don't raise their scores relative to your own. You can get 100 points per pallet, 250 points for closing the hatch, and depending on your killer you can score a few hundred points just using your ability (depending on whether or not you're at the 8k cap yet) and the survivors get no points in those processes.

I don't go to the exit gates anymore if I see no point in getting someone. It's very funny how long some people are staying in the endgame and some of them are even vaulting over stuff so they can BM you at the gates.

If the killer had a rough game, or was nice, i usually stick around for free hits. Might as well let them get some BP 🤷🏻‍♀️

People who t-bag at the exit gates do it just to be annoying, there is literally no reason to do it other than to be a PoS.

I understand why people heal though, because they just want BP.

Literally no part of my post was crying about it. I wasn't even present. I just find it strange that people would waste so much of their own time doing nothing. You're free to do it every game if you want.

I had to escape 2 chases as Nea. I got away in the match once, and then the Killer ignored me the rest of the match (Go figure I ran him for like 3 gens). So I stood at the exit gate till the killer could come over and see me leave - just so I could get the second chase escape.

Got my challenge, and made another player hate life because these challenges are bogus.
