I'm being a softie killer again

I am going back to my "horror" rule of if I kill 3 survivors in a match, the last survivor gets to go free through the hatch or gate.

Do you prefer to sacrifice the last survivor to the entity or do you let them go?

Depends, if I get a 3k no problems, yeah I don't care if the last survivor get hatch or whatever, the only way that I would care now a days to get a 4k is if the 4th survivor is my last bbq stack.

Currently I've been giving hatch left and right, I had fun, they get free points so for me that is a Win-Win.

The entity gets enough pay from a killer’s full day of hard work with minimal compensation to them for all their extensive efforts, so I say

    ...Let em run free! 🥳

If they play well, if it's a baby Dwight, or if I find hatch before I find a hook, I let the last survivor go. But if it's swamp you're going on a hook.

It greatly depends on who I'm up against and how the match went against them. My last match was actually a perfect example of this...

One survivor had BPS so by default, I'm a lot more likely to pump the breaks once I have hooked someone twice and let all four go. But then in this match, one person decided to DS me in front of a locker, hop in said locker during my stun, then hit me with Head On. So she signed her death warrant. Person 2 was with Person 1, constantly following me around with a flashlight trying (and failing miserably) to do flash light saves (Person 1 also hit me with a Head On while I was chasing Person 2 earlier in the match; the likeliness of that happening by chance is virtually 0). Maybe she wasn't with Person 1 and it was just bad luck for her but she got to be guilty by association so her death warrant was signed.

Two gens left with Person 3 and Person 4 left. I wander around a few minutes, take them both down once but let them escape my clutches (so I'd think it's clear I'm not planning on killing them). I wander around a few more minutes wondering what's taking them so long to do gens when I hear the "Chirp Chirp" crow (the AFK crow). I wander around a bit and realize the crow is on a locker so I know someone has been hiding in there and they've been hiding long enough to get the AFK crows to start buzzing so guess what, Death Warrant!

The Fourth guy finishes a gen to make it 1 gen left. I take him down pretty quickly and carry him to The Hatch

I have no problem being a nice killer and I try to reward survivors who play nicely and play well if I have the opportunity. I don't always do it but I am far more likely to give the Hatch/Gate Opening to a survivor who plays well and plays without having BM.

Kill them all. It’s a horror movie but the killer wins at the end. The final boy/girl dies instead of fighting back and surviving.

If I know where the hatch is, or it takes me less than 10 seconds to find it, I'll give you hatch. But I think I'm done wandering around the entire map in that awkward "hang on I know it's gotta be around here somewhere this is my 5th lap why am I being punished like this" phase.

You reminded me of a movie I wanted to watch a few years ago.

I always sacrifice every survivor I down (well, give or take occasionally slugging midgame to chase someone else nearby). However I rarely slug the third survivor, I just hook them to save time and let the chips fall where they may on the last survivor. If they get hatch or open the door then good on them, if I get them first then great!

When it comes to the Hatch, I don't go super out by way with it. Like @dugman, unless the last Survivor is right there I don't slug for the 4k.

I've had a couple times where the final chase ended close to the Hatch, either because the Survivor was running to it or just dumb luck. When that happens, I'll shrug, say "Okay, sure.", and let them get it.

My main form of being a softie killer is I do my best not to tunnel, as it's the one thing I hate running into as Survivor; the most I'd do is slug off hook, and mainly of the opportunity is right there. If Bloody Party Steamers or Cakes are in play I'll let the Survivors escape and get their 5k times whatever Survival points.

I'll sometimes do that even without BPS. One hook apiece for Barbecue & Chili stacks and I'm happy to focus on maxing out non-sacrifice points.

Nah, I sacrifice everyone if I can. If someone gets the hatch that's ok them because I couldn't find it first.

My chance of mercy increases exponentially if I have (close to) max deviousness. Because then it feels like I am sacrificing for just a couple hundred points.

Otherwise I don’t go super out of my way to let them go. I don’t like to slug for the 4k. I just go with chance to see if I find hatch before the last player.

    No big deal either way.

It depends on a lot of things, not the least of which is my mood.

If i come across the hatch if I'm carrying them to the last hook then I'll give it to then.

    If not then not

Only to the best looper, I slaughter the babies to get them back down to the ranks that they belong in

It depends. Sometimes i kill all four. Sometimes i don't. Sometimes i also get rekt of course.

I choose the survivor i let escape, if i choose to do so, everytime during the match if he/she does something uncommon/odd/funny. Reward diversity!

If you're playing as Ace, then you have a 99% chance that I will let you go. Visconti lives matter.

It usually depends on how im feeling but when im at rank 1 there is usually no point for a 4k other than an extra 900 bp for killing them

If they were pricks I kill them, if not I give them the hole.

I thought about my previous answer, and I think I might have been hasty. I'm not that capricious. I looked back through my videos to see who I tend to let go. If there are early disconnects and some people stay and fight the good fight, I often let one or both go. If the game is really hard fought and the last person really stood out to me (for whatever reason) I tend to let them go. In other words, if someone loops me for 2+ minutes I don't get mad at them. I am impressed. If I finally down them, and they are the last, I generally let them go.

Right now I'm in a desperate race to become a Rank-1 Killer by Halloween, playing ONLY Michael Myers. It is hard to put into words how difficult it is to do with that limitation. This does cut into my generosity because I'm in the Red Ranks now and it is a fight just to stay even, rather than lose a Pip. Thus, my generosity is mostly on hold.

Kill everyone. If the survivor wanna escape he gotta earn it. Of course without camping nor tunneling.

  • MrDardon

Sometimes if I know where the hatch is, i'll give it to them. Otherwise I just hook them because it's faster.

I kill them all normally , but I dont slug for the 4k.

    Race you to the hatch.

For me, if they play well and outplayed me a lot, I'll happily give the final survivor the hatch for a fun game. Act toxic and I'll make sure to show you hatch and place you on a hook in view of it. And when the survivors just kind of give up and accept their defeat, I just can't bring myself to kill them anymore so they get a free escape.

Not to be rude but why are you doing yourself a disfavor. A ton of survivors will always try to bully you if they think they can get away with it. You choose how you want to play of course, but it won’t change a cuck’s behavior

I just have to kind of point out this tiny thing to a different argument I see a lot. You just kind of mentioned how hard it can be to find the hatch for survivors or even us killers. Then that shows us how much work it takes to use a key even IF the requirements for hatch to spawn are met you can walk the entire map and never find it and die before getting to use said key.

Oh and I also am a very nice killer. It takes a lot for me to kill the last person or even half the group. The only real time I kill someone is when I mean I am being clear as day that I am not trying to hurt you and yet you act bad ass. I love when a survivor will teabag as though they got the best of you even though you could have hit them 100 times. I had two survivors do this one game not knowing I had Blood Warden. I was legion and the one came out teabagging from the gate and I downed him because I also had NOED. Well his/her friend watched as I carried their friend to a hook probably thinking okay I will just BT them and we both will escape. Well the moment Blood Warden popped I laughed as the last survivor panicked first trying to run out and then trying to run away from me. I did let them live and even guided them to my NOED totem but I hope they learned to be humble and thankful when a killer is being nice and letting you live. lol

It is entirely based on how toxic they've been throughout the game. Most of the time, as long as I get my stacks on BBQ, I'm fine letting the last one escape, or dropping them on hatch.

But if they've been trying to troll or bully me during the game, I will suplex them into that hook.

If my Survivors aren't toxic I'll usually let them go having farmed 2 hooks from each of them

I mean, the hatch can be very hard to find. But usually if you bring a key, you bring a map, which can show the hatch even before it spawns. Plan ahead, kids!

Depends on who the last survivor is. If they did their best and didn’t clicky clicky + teabag, then fine, have the hatch.

if I catch them at the exit game and instead of them running off delaying it, then fine, open and go.

    teabag me, your getting hooked.

If one or two survivors played like bots I will let the poor struggle bugs go. I'm playing killer but the bots carried me and the poor struggle bugs trying to carry them. It's a sad affair, mostly.
