Dbd toxicity. Why??
So I am a survivor main. Recently started doing killer. Today alone I was called a FA*** and a N****. I didnt tunnel, camp, even was giving last person hatch. One person said gg ez get fkd... the other threw racial and homophobic slurs my way (2 seperate games) i dont get it... i play fair i just want to have fun... why the toxicity? It stopped for awhile but seems to be ramping up again. I stream now (with ttv in my name) so maybe that has something to do with it?

According to some people in this forum. As Killer, if they see TTV on a survivor name, they will assume either they're facing TTV SWF, or a great skill player, or a toxic player that entertaining their viewers.
So, yes.

Honestly it's 60-40 leaning towards survivors when it comes to toxicity. I'm a 50-50 player and survivors the only way they don't complain is if they escape. Other than that it's just toxicity like you said calling you names but when they win I'd say the toxicity is worse with the GGEZ and calling you a garbage killer. I've learned the closer to rank 1 the more likely there toxic. I played today for the first time in 4 months and had a blast

Welcome to the forums.
Toxic players are not a new phenomenon. Where there are video games, so too will there be toxic people. It would be best that you never take it to heart and just ignore it. Make sure you report anyone who says anything excessive such as racist or homophobic slurs. The game will send a chat log as evidence and they will hopefully get a vacation.
I have gotten to the point that I actually enjoy the salt. I like to imagine a prepubescent teen behind the monitor, raging and crying about how their opponent didn't follow their made up rules. So if they start off toxic, I respond with ggez over and over. It's super effective.
