It should be impossible to de-pipe when someone else DC's!
I'm a purple rank boy just trying to make my way down to the red ranks and i'd say 1/5 matches someone DC's early or mid-game making it damn near impossible to have a quality round! It makes me so sad guys, like come on. I never DC on purpose and don't believe anyone should but I know folks are just gonna keep DC'ing whether it's DBD crashing (what's new am I right) or rage quitting so I propose not allowing anyone to lose rank for any game where folks DC (for both killer and survivor).
Whenever anyone DC's from a game it should be impossible to lose rank because we all know how important every single survivor is to the pacing of the game rendering the match results to not be indicative of people's skill had their been all 4 survivors. Even bad players are critical to allowing survivors to apply pressure across the map. And for killers people DC'ing can cause them to not get as many points as they deserve causing them to lose rank even if they "won." It's such a bummer! Who's with me?!?!

If it makes you feel better the new MMR is probably coming back relatively soon at this point and ranks literally won't matter at all when that happens. (At least not until they add in some other new system like you get a reward for hitting specific ranks each month.)
And yeah, ragequitters suck, no doubt. You do have to be a little careful though rewarding other players if someone disconnects, it might create an incentive for swf players to disconnect to protect each other's ranks if they're losing for instance.

That's a super good point honestly I hadn't thought of that. I was blinded by solo playing rage lol. Thanks @dugman that makes me feel better knowing there are some nuances to fixing that. Maybe just increasing the penalty for ragequitters but of course then you have accidental DC's which complicate that! Alas, it's always more complex when you start parsing it out.
