Monitor Resolution (Widescreens)

I have a 2560x1080 monitor which I change my desktop resolution to 1920x1080 before starting the game to accommodate the rendering of widescreen in DbD. (Up close FOV, huge characters, bad camera, etc)
After the 4.2.1 patch, I can no longer run in 1920x1080 as I've been doing since 2016. The game defaults to my widescreen resolution. I was able to play on the 4.2.0 patch without any issues.
Is this a known issue that will be fixed? Anyone else have this issue?
