The Hallowed Bounty
Hello everyone, I open this due to a question that has arisen due to the new event "Hallowed Bounty", who who does not know is an event where basically if you win you can win 1000 auric cells a week for 1 year, the recent dlc the game, among other prizes, but to participate "the Sweepstakes are open only to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec), France, Germany, , Philippines, United Kingdom and United States, who have reached the age of majority in their province/territory of residence or older at the time of their participation" that is, if you do not belong to one of these sites you could not participate, my question is why? Because only a certain site, and not all that have acquired the game, I understand that since they are the creators of the game they have all the right to decide who can participate in the event, but I still think that it is totally unfair to the people who They bought it and they do not belong to those specific regions, before finishing I would like to clarify that this is not to criticize the decision but to know why. Greetings to all and thanks for taking the time to read this.

They can give to a random guy 10$ every week for 1 year, but can't give the shards difference back to the players who bought the Hallowed Curse outfits before the discount, ok...

What this does is increase clicks and thus networth etc for the devs, without them having to do much/anything.

Its all about boosting numbers. Big numbers makes investors and stockholders go "oooh" and "aaaah".

Only certain Countries are able to be included due to the laws in those Countries.

Easier to give funny money to one guy than the entire community I guess.
They can justify that easier to their shareholders.
Plus, the more gullible community members might be fooled into seeing this contest as "generous."

I think it's great and I've entered but they still think it's okay to charge for the base game, battle pass, dlcs,and skins but not have a good quality game. It's still a very consumer unfriendly game.

It's because laws in those place forbid them from being included in the giveaway, the company they are partnered with has the same rules for most/all their giveaways, it really does sucks but it is because they can't do it legally in those places, they would obviously want everybody included but they just can't, hopefully a work around comes and they can do a similar event for only the excluded places, hope that helps

It sucks, but laws are laws. I'm sure they'd offer it to every region if they could.

If that is the case, then why hasn’t BHVR said anything about it? Even if they can’t outright say that it’s Sony’s fault, then at least say something like “PS4 players can’t participate due to unforeseen circumstances”. Unless BHVR is the one stopping PS4 from participating for whatever reason. Sony’s let other developers do these types of giveaways with their games, so why wouldn’t they let BHVR do it with DBD?
