How do you tend to take "gg" in postgame chat?
For as long as I have played dbd, gg does not always mean "good game" to everyone. Actually, I think quite often it tends to mean "fu ez game" to so many people who tend to react to my "gg" quite aggressively. When they win, my gg means good game to them, but if they happened to not survive when I play killer or if I escaped and they did not catch me as killer and I say gg, then that gg suddenly means something completely else to them.
So tell me, do you tend to take "gg" as "good game" always or does it depend on the match itself and if yes, how so?

I honestly don't stick around to read any ggs or whatever kind of crap the survivors/ killer will cry about in post game chat.

Most of the time I say GG as a way of being polite. If I feel someone played dirty I don't say GG. Not cheating just playing scumy I won't say anything. Just move on to the next match. There's no point arguing with anyone in game or on forums. I never say GG EZ because to me that's saying "You suck"

I know what you mean. I decided to take a gg as a good game until something indicates otherwise. The most prominent examples of "bad" ggs would be accompanied by "ez" or "#########" and the likes, unfortunately rather common.
So as long as it stays with the gg (wp), I´ll reply in kind even in a loss. If I´m extra salty but it was a good game nonetheless, I may type : "Well, you little shits, but gg wp^^ ".

I say gg as “Good game, that was fun / you did well. If somebody takes that the wrong way that’s a reflection of them, not me.

I tend to rage and break my keyboard/punch a hole in the dry wall. Next game if I'm killer I will run ebony mori and if survivor, I will run a key, flashlight or map, with DS, UB, BT and an exhaust perk.

I tend to say "GG... hard fought... well played... etc." I try to be a bit more expansive so they know I'm serious. Just because I 3-4K a team doesn't mean I'm not honest in thinking it was good game, or that I didn't see some good moves. In every game I play there is almost always something I can speak about nicely.
And in those games where I get my butt handed to me, I'm still going to say "GG.... you had my number.... or damn, you are a monster. I'll give you a better challenge next time." The minimum is say nothing at all, GG is at least polite, and GG with some expansion is great.
The only time I feel compelled, these days, to be critical is when people DC leaving their team to rot, or when I catch people Smurfing. I consider it unethical. At the very least, if one is Smurfing to TEACH friends how to play, you should be ready, willing, and able to be be the bait and get killed for the Killer. My gal is trying to learn Killer and keeps getting these matches with 1-2 Red Rank Killers coming in with an entourage of 16-20 in a SWF. Don't do this, or if you do, make sure you aren't just teaching your entourage. Help the Killer out too rather than making them wonder why they bother playing. I can spot a Red Rank mixed in with others these days just by watching them move and what they do for twenty seconds. I tag in whenever I see it and give them a nasty surprise.

gg is a default.
I like it better then "while that was easier then I thought it be" from a killer
or "hahaha, you suck" from a bully squad
or, "How dare you play like" that from anyone.

I just assume they either genuinely say it or they're being polite.
If someone wants to be a jerk the vast majority of the time they'll just say gg ez git gud instead of bothering with saying gg "ironically" or anything like that.

I have chat always closed.

GG's for GG's is my usual response.
Only exceptions are if the player in question was playing like a little jerk the whole match (abusing glitches, mori-tunneling, saying nasty things about anyone and everyone, etc), in which case I just ignore them and move on.

Depends entirely on how the survivors acted in-game.
Were they BMing/Teabagging/styling the whole game? I'll assume it's sarcastic.
Was it a 2K/3k? Probably sincere.

I always try to take a simple gg as just that. Trying to take it as a literal "this game was good" rather than just an acknowledgement that you played against real people and are doing what is basically a friendly handshake will get you raging against anything, and that's no good.

90% of gg's are killers getting 4k's or survivors escaping so...

Chat is off, I just go on. Playing since release so I dont give a poop anymore about random nerds being random. Never happy, mostly not nice or fair. Mostly thinking they did all right and the others not. No gg, nothing anymore.
