  i was referencing something you screenshotted is i think. Im pretty sure i saw a dev say it was holding the game hostage

  exactly. If taking the chase will cause the last gen to be completed any smart killer isnt going to take the bait. They are going to defend those gens and pick away at the survivors injuring them then eventually downing them.
