Refined Serum
Hey Guys..
I used Refined Serum today for the first time.. soon as I used it my med kit disappeared and I couldn't heal myself..
Anyone explain why this happened? cause I don't understand

I imagine it's like the styptic agent and syringe, they consume your med-kit on use.

That is correct.
The refined serum behaves like the syringe and styptic agent addon.
As soon as you use it your medkit is gone

Yeah this addon is the dumbest thing ever. You either use your medkit to get a heal and the addon can't be used or you use the addon and ur still injured and your medkit is gone...

Or you make a big brain move, equip a Medkit with enough Charges for at least one Heal and the Serum. But yeah, not the most useful thing in the world, gimmicky at best.

I had to get @Mushwin to explain this to me as I was confused: An ideal way to use it is to drop a pallet, heal in the killers face while he kicks the pallet. Then use the boost to sprint off.
Only equip it with brown medkits and only use the serum if you know you aren't escaping the chase to actually heal.

The add-on didnt heal me it just took my med kit away and I had another add on with extra charges.. cause I had the First Aid Kit which is 24 charges I think.. but I didnt know the serum only makes you move faster...

Thanks guys.. just wish it would say it gives you a speed boost and that it consumes the med-kit afterwards.. sucks it doesn't heal you and just takes your med kit off you

I wished the Refined Serum actually said on the add-on it depletes the med-kit like the other two syringes. My favorite use of it is to stack it with Hope and run as fast as the killer for 20 seconds at the end of the game. Hard to pull off in solo q.

I understand now.. cause it says "Press the Secondary Action button while healing with the Med-Kit to use Refined Serum." then underneath it says "Moderately increases the speed of the Survivor for 20 seconds".. but I thought that was something to do with healing yourself not movement speed.. but yeah it should say the First Aid/other Add-On gets consumed.
