Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Doctor’s Madness Effect ;-;

Can we change the fact that once you have it you can never get it off. It not like I’m going stay sane for long. Or at least let me snap out of it at tier two as well. It makes no sense that I’m only able to make myself less crazy when I’m at my craziest. The Doctor can easily put me into higher tiers but unless I’m screaming my head off, I can’t snap myself out of it. Please I just want this. ;-;

    He effects to many aspects of gameplay.... ive never liked his balancing or “re-work”.

    • Insane locating abilities (he can see hallucinations some how, screams at t3 which is not hard to get too, red stain makes it impossible to hide and his power)
    • stopping vaults/drops
    • Effects skill checks

    Like why does any one killer need that much? Lol

    The only changes that need to be made are what can be done while in madness tier 3.

    Remove the ability to open exit gates.

    Remove the ability to enter lockers.

    Add the ability to heal survivors in the dying state.

    He's had that for years and now that his add-ons are good and he's super easy to understand and play it's suddenly a problem lmao. I do think the range and new "shock delay" add-ons are pretty dumb though and should be changed back to the way they were before. Or slightly nerf the range of the yellow and green add-ons

    It is the only effect in the game, you can't shake and that is weird to me, It may have minor effect, but from an game mechanic point of view, I don't like its something that once applied, the survivor has zero options to remove via some method (even if time consuming)

    This OP seems new to the game. No offense, friend. We all have to start somewhere. Before his rework a year ago, Snapping Out of It only dropped you to Tier II madness, and Doctor's afflictions started affecting you at Tier 1. So once you hit Tier II madness for the first time you were stuck there forever.

    After his rework it's the opposite: you can Snap Out of It down to Tier I and his addons only start afflicting you at Tier II.

    Learn to love the madness. It adds some unique elements into a match and actually makes skill checks interesting rather than rote. I wish more killers had unique powers like this.

    I wish I saw it your way but we just have different view points of fun or what’s interesting. That’s fine but I know that the skill checks madness gives are some things I’ll never love. Also yeah I am kinda new and started back in August during quarantine, lol. I don’t take offense, I just wish to have a moment of no madness so I have a chance with skill checks.

    All but the random screaming take effect at tier 2...

    Doctor's effects on skillchecks 100% do not add anything of interest to them...they're still skillchecks, but more annoying.

    You forgot mending! If you're tier 3 and get hit with BT up, chances are you'll end up dropping to the dying state before you get to mend.

    He doesn’t have additional mobility. He’s still your standard 115% Killer.

    You’ll still have time to Mend most of the time. Snap Out of It takes 12 seconds while BT lasts 15 and 20 seconds at tiers 2 and 3, respectively. The only time where you’re screwed is tier 1, but it’s only a tier 1 perk so it’s not surprising that it’s outclassed by its tier 2 and 3 counterparts. You will be cutting it close though, so don’t mess around.

    Depends how hard he tries to tunnel you; when looping there are times that survivors have to stand still in order to determine what the killer is doing. It happens far more often than you would think.

    He's absolutely busted at The Meat Plant, he can hit you basically anywhere on the map. I'd love for his AOE shock to just stick to whatever floor he's on, it shouldn't be able have a reach vertically

    Its fair because:

    He lacks any form of extra damage.

    He lacks mobility(Notice how every high tier killer has this so this is major).

    If he misses a static blast he has no information.

    Misusing shock therapy can cost you hits at loops.

    Doctor is a balanced character right now on PC but he's crazy OP on mobile. Skill Checks are already way harder in that tiny screen but Snap Out of It Skill Checks???? That's a whole new level of difficulty (I'm also a Doc player and I'm thinking of maining him so I know what I'm talking about).

    only change I want is the ability to mend while T3

    kinda dumb how it’s not possible

    😕 I'm kinda a Doc main I guess insomuch as I enjoy playing him the most but there's a huge difference in the outcome of the game based on survivors ability.

    Lower rank/less skilled survivors are almost too easy and seem to get more freaked out by madness etc but running into a red rank SWF can be a humbling experience if they know how to get out of range of your blasts and 360/dodge your M1 well-some even know to use the info you get from hallucinations against you by moving somewhere unexpected and you waste time searching for where they supposedly just were.

    As survivor I've never been too stressed against a Doc-a skilled Plague will rustle your jimmies a lot easier than a decent Doc IMHO.
