I understand why so many people hate this community
Just played a match where the killer was not hooking survivors when there were available hooks. He would pick up the survivor and take them to a corner of the map (farm) and would have them wiggle out in the corner where there were no pallets, windows, etc., and he would be able to down them within seconds of wiggling out. And he repeated this process probably 20+ between 4 different survivors.
In the post game lobby, I just said "I hope you're proud of yourself" and "now I understand why so many people hate this community". His reasoning for doing it was 2 of us had DS. He proceeded to say how it's sad that we can't win without having to use perks like DS. (Mind you, he was using ruin, undying, thanataphobia, and BBQ - LOL).
Part of my rant is, it really bothers me that people who play like this never get any consequences, but someone will get banned for saying something stupid in post game chat.

Hopefully they fix these things. I report bad killers who abuse the game for no reason. Hopefully things will get better. If it gets too bad take some breaks have a snack and watch anime till you feel better. It helps.

I mean clearly he was enjoying himself. Just go afk when the killer does something like that. He'll get bored if you're not reacting and playing his game.

You have a DC button for those kinds of matches.
You should have posted your story to the feedback section instead.
1 -
If you DC you suffer a penalty because of that killer. I would just do gens and leave. That killer didn't sound very skilled. If he quits a match because 2 people ran DS he hasn't been playing killer for very long. If only 2 people are running DS instead of all 4, I consider that a good thing.
7 -
Best part is - no one even got to use their DS. I guess he only knew because someone was an obsession. lol
2 -
It's sad that the bm can go on for longer than a DC penalty. The only reason I won't DC in a bm situation is the other survivors still have a chance to escape it while I'm being tossed around like overalls in a tumble dryer.
6 -
That's generally how it works. If you don't see an OoO and there is an obsession, there is a 30 out of 10 chance someone is running DS. Normally, as a Killer, you just assume that and adjust tactics accordingly.
1 -
Or the killer could be running rancor, stbfl or pwyf. However the killer of all people would certainly know that. Unless I see no obsession I assume everyone has DS. Plus the killer had no way of knowing more than 1 person was running DS until after the match. It sounds like that killer was just being salty.

If the killer was able to do that 20+ times... you might have just been really bad.

Ahh, yes, the hypocrisy. A pity, but it's even stranger to see such people NOT blaming the other side.
0 -
You're right. A person can intentionally behave in an absolutely terrible, selfish, provocative, etc. manner, have only bad intentions from the start, and there is no punishment whatsoever.
No one seems to care even though that behaviour is most likely the cause of the majority of angry comments after a match... .

" (Mind you, he was using ruin, undying, thanataphobia, and BBQ - LOL)."
TIL doing totems is hard
and i main survivor lol

Which map was it?
because l highly doubt all four corners of the map was like this.
how did all four of you continually keep getting downed in the same spot that allowed you to be carried there easily every time?
sounds like a bit of extra Mayo has been put in this story.

People get banned for post chat stuff? When? I can't even count how many times I was being called racial slurs for the simple crime of playing killer.
0 -
It's the same as group of SWF going out aggressively towards the killer just to make fun of him, and don't care if they die. And killers can't be mad at them because they did nothing wrong and just "have fun with the game".
Obviously both of them are bad, so i'm just saying that both sides have these players..
1 -
The game and the community together breed large amounts of toxicity which is hard to put up with, taking a long break from the game is probably your best option. Who knows maybe dbd will change for the better in a year or two. (or it will just die)

What the killer did is considered griefing and can be reported.
1 -
Don't understand how it is reportable when it is allowed so loosely in the game, if I were survivor I would shrug it off and be more confused than anything. If the killer is not hooking you it definitely is different but it shouldn't be reportable, it just sounds like a bunch of whining and sore losers if you ask me.
0 -
Well according to the game rules it is a type of griefing
2 -
Don't take DBD or most things too personally. This is just a game, and most people, regardless of their role, aren't having dreams of absolutely crushing your desire to live. Most of them are just here for a meme, a laugh, a loof, a gaff, and a goof. Now, being mad at the game itself for barely functioning, having tons of bugs, no real meaningful features added after 4 years.. yeah, that's reasonable. :P
0 -
Any reasonable person would be annoyed at being griefed.
2 -
Guess I can't argue with that.
1 -
Yes, and if you report someone for chat stuff, the chat log gets saved for them to review.

Not bannable.
THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT CONSIDERED BANNABLE OFFENSES - PLEASE DO NOT REPORT:
- Camping
- Slugging
- Tunneling
- Streamsniping
- Teabagging
- Bodyblocking
- Looping

No, not just simply slugging. This is not what the OP described. The killer was doing what was described as extending the bleed out timer. They were able to pick the survivor up, and were doing so, and there was no reason to carry them anywhere other than to a hook.
1 -
It was a farm map. One of the hooks in the corn in the corner of the map was permanently gone from a death. Nothing the rest of the survivors could do.
1 -
My friend was banned for a week for using an insensitive insult. He appealed the ban, the devs sent the chat log and said nope. Not defending insulting people in chat, but c'mon a week long ban?
1 -
Heres what your snarky little comment is missing, We get penalized for using it. It is highly frowned upon and Killer mains cry about it saying it "ruins" the game. Next time you want to put a snarky comment think about what your typing before you post it.
K Thanks
Bye
2 -
Yes. If insulting after match is a bannable offense then a week long ban is perfectly ok. I wish it was like that with every player that does that on regular basis.
0 -
Yep, if the killer is not hooking them and not letting them bleed out either then it could be considered as holding the game hostage, and it's a bannable offense.
1 -
It’s not holding the game hostage, as the survivor will eventually bleed out, but it is a type of griefing due to the intentional nature of extending out the bleed out timer for as long as possible.
1 -
Wow, I am so happy to hear it works! I need to start reporting these bigots. Lol 🤣

It's funny because whenever someone comes onto the forums and complains about having a long DC timer everyones like "Well you shouldn't have DCd so much there's no reason for it" yet when it comes to something like this, everyones like DC DC DC. I've had a lot of people having crash issues this patch too which is unfortunate.

I tried and even saved screenshots of racial slurs, homophobic slurs, and death threats. No dice. But it sounds like it improved

If you use your DC button that often sounds like you have bigger problems, I dont and I dont have the same experience as you so I dont need to. Then you should have posted this in feedback.

It doesn't matter how a person played, even if they griefed there is no excuse to call a person slurs or harass them. I follow the rulebook to the wire and has still gotten harassed. My friend that's new to the game has been the subject of harassment. The team needs to crack down on this bad behavior. If a person's holding the match hostage then provide proof then report them. I always go through the proper protocols nothing in this game makes me mad enough to call someone a transphobic slur for example.

Great idea when you get penalised for leaving games lol
0 -
You DC that often? lol
0 -
What? When did I suggest I DC at all? Nice try, troll.
1 -
You dont get punished for DC'ing once in a while, so since you have a problem with my suggestion, it logically follows you must DC enough to make it a problem for you.
0 -
Except...you get punished every last time you DC...

It helps to relieve stress and shows who is the boss there. Maybe you should get more looping skills?
I strongly recommend Uncharted's videos to GITGUD at looping, this aussie guy practices 8hours a day in live streaming:

you cant handle 5min?

You're just assuming that I think it's okay if someone insults another person. I have not said anything of the kind and you are wrong, that also does not correspond to my opinion. Insults are enshrined in criminal law for good reason. Nevertheless, I am of the opinion that selfish, anti-social and sadistic behavior must be punished equally.
0 -
I definitely agree with that. But I don't think Behavior cares, but I am hearing mixed things.
