Discordance is back!
t3 from 96 meters to the map wide 128 empathy has
8 sec light to 4 seconds thats 4 less seconds of wrong info even prerework the lowest you could get was 6 at t1
the devs came to their senses!
my favorite tracking perk is back
what do you guys think? as good as prerework or better or not good enough?

not use it

So If it already covers 100% of every map why is there a distance requirement in the first place?

To have a difference between Perk Tiers.

In case they make mega maps in the future, I guess?

they changed it for empathy a long time ago. had something to do with the coding. i guess same reason for discordance.

But even those cover the majority of the map, it just seems like a useless mechanic tacked on to a perk no one complained about.

If it was the same thing for discordance why didn't they change it when it came out?

There were "complaints" about Discordance, because Tier 1 was better than Tier 3. So they changed the seconds to the Tier 1-value on all Tiers (now 4 seconds instead 8 seconds, so it got another Buff), and to have a difference between Tiers, they added a Range Requirement.
So they basically pleased the Community and even 96 meters was enough in 99% of the cases, but Killers said that the Perk got gutted (not that I am against buffing the Range more, like I said, it was barely noticeable that it was not map-wide before).

It never left

But the notification time was the only complaint, so again, why add the distance requirement?

I'm more excited about the increased info. The whole 96m range never really affected me, but 4 seconds instead of 8? Yeah, I like. Muchly so.

?
To have a difference in Perk Tiers. Tier 1, 2 and 3 cannot have the exactly same effect.

Actually it's not really a buff the change from 8 to 4 compared to old discordance. It's more equally out the two extremes that could happen.
With old discordance 1, survivors could stop working together right before the tick or right after the tick either giving 0 seconds or 8 seconds to fade off. 4 seconds is just a good middle spot giving the perk roughly the same value on average.

Devs 100% biased all the time btw.

more accurate information isnt a buff? what?

I said compared to old discordance. This change is making it on average the same fall off as old T1 Discordance.

Rip bloodpoints, time to play efficient again =/

yes compared to old discordance with gave a maximum of 8 seconds of possibly wrong information compared to now with a maximum of 4 seconds of wrong information at this point the only way you could argue that old discordance was better is if you think
the difference between the implied map wide range of old and 128meter of new is meaningful in any way
or if you really need a sound notification every 8 seconds
and only if these changes are better than 4 less seconds of wrong information.
new discordance looks better than old

I'm not saying Old Discordance was better. I'm saying both versions are now practically the same.
Old Discordance didn't have consistent fade off, but as the fade off could be anywhere from 0 seconds to 8 seconds it still averaged 4 seconds of fade off.

did you test before and after in game?

Imo it's too keep a tier 1 version of a perk inferior to a tier 3 version. If it was let's say 96/128/infinite, why would anyone continue tier up if tier 1 or 2 works just fine. People do complain about tier perks for other side depending.
