basement chainsaw scumbagging
so i wanna use leatherface and just go sit in the basement, not afk, but just sitting down there waiting for the survivors to come run around in front of me for their points, then mow them down.
other than having people be salty, is this something that is a bannable offense?
personally, i think it is hilarious.

Why would it be a bannable offense? If they're dumb enough to keep coming to the basement, that's on them.

It's not bannable, but it is just about the most toxic thing you can possibly do considering the game actually punishes you for it more than them and yet you're doing it anyway.

I have seen a video montage with bubba like this. He was absolute afk, and used chainsaw only when someone tried to open chest.

After 2K hours, I have seen a lot, and basement Bubba is hands down the most toxic thing you can get. Whenever a new trial spawns, there are now two roulette wheels going in my head 1. Is it going to be regular Bubba (survivors caught near basement will likely doom us all) and 2. Is it going to be the basement Insidious Bubba ( I might doom us all, who knows)
Basement bubba is the quintesential example of holding the game hostage....and he could be fixed so easily: have his charges deplete in the basement, and obviously only in the basement, instead of recharging.

Leatherface in the basement has been done to death. If you want to do it then do it, but it just creates a boring game for everybody else. Why does it always have to be that guy anyways?

I mean he was afk before condition. He wasn't walking in basement waiting for survivors. He just stood in the corner watching the chest.

It’s not bannable, although you probably over estimate how fun it is. It’s kinda unique for like a game or two but this pretty boring to just stand in the basement all game.

Wait what? How is basement bubba the most tocic thing? It's litterally a meme build that if survivors don't want to meme they can just leave and if they do the mini game of trying to get the chest is a nice change of the normal game.
And in what way is that holding the game hostage. Gens can get done in 4 minutes if the killer doesn't pressure.
You either play the Grab basement chest of bubba game or you're back in the lobby in like 5 minutes.
Seriously though what region are you in? Cause if a simple meme build is the most toxic thing you encountered then your normal matches must be heaven and i want in.

Aw, that’s jus basement chest guarding Bubba. I love when Leatherface killers play this meme game with survivors. Not sure where it originated, but it’s so much fun!😌

You could stick territorial + monitor on him and guard the basement without having to even be there. Someone almost always goes to loot the basement chest so you will get more value out of it than you might expect, especially on Bubba since a basement hook is a GG's done early enough. You want the monitor so they don't have time to get out before you get there.

I've never come across a basement Bubba. I get either the ones that camp a hooked survivor, or one that spams the chainsaw attack.

Chest defender bubba, I've seen 2 in about 2 years of playing, they are rare and they love to play role a lot, no joke they are the people that I respect the most in this game since it clearly shows that they just want to have fun instead of just playing serious.
Try this, mad grit, iron grasp, insidious and agitation.
How you win playing like this: they do not get the basement chest, how you lose they do steal it.
No kills no nothing, if they touch the chest they go down and you just toss them out of the basement.

Basement bubba works well against 4 Randoms. but against SWF, he gets 1 kill and loses.
Both survivors and killers have very toxic ways to play the game. this is a top 5 toxic killer move. Sometime it happens because killer is bored, or often times, their last game, the survivors were toxic to him, so he is just paying it forward.
I feel like 75% of the toxic play we see if just a long chain of people having bad games and passing it on. I even see streamers with title Of "toxic play" to try to build a specific crowd that loves that stuff. It is the one thing pushing me away form this game faster then anything else.

I love this.
Whenever I run into an AFK killer, I do all the totems and make sure I'm on the other side of the map when the last gen pops. I don't trust the silence.

AFKing and not participating in the match is actually a ban offense stated in the unsportmanlike report reason examples, and the other players wont be able to pip if they cant perform any altruistic or chase emblem progress

Nah. That's not toxic. Toxic is NOED, Insidious and Nurse then waiting behind an exit gate :)
