How aware are you as killer?
For me, I can see a survivor across the map hiding behind an object if they show even an inch of skin. If they give me the smallest amount of info as to where they are I suddenly know where one survivor is, which is nice. I can see crows and count the seconds it takes for them to come back to better track a survivor. I learned how to use whispers to find a survivor hiding in a locker and been accused of cheating (lol), and I also know every juke for both sides so I don't really fall for them most of the time. But, what about you? If you would consider yourself a skilled killer, how aware are you of where survivors are?

I have the observation skills of a potato and the frames of a slideshow.
So if you move slightly left or right I'll most likely miss my lunge.
If they hide behind anything I most likely won't find them.

One time, in a kyf, my buddy used urban evasion and hid behind me the majority of the game, like a pebble between my buttcheeks.
I believe this answers your question.

I also have a firm grasp of Whispers...
I do miss some survivor auras behind objects...
Crows... not so much
I juke myself due to predicting... I don't play survivor as much so there are things I can still learn

Sometimes I can hear the barest crackle of moving grass, or see just one pixel of a cosmetic and be on the survivor in no time. Other times I walk right past them when they’re barely trying to hide. It depends on the day. :)

I'm pretty aware I'd say. I've spotted survivors across the map and seen crows in the distance. It's not uncommon that I'm going "######### are you doing Feng? I can see you" as she crouches behind a tree lol

lol, the best part is that even thought they can see you coming to them, they still stay there until they get hit. I literally stop and stare at them for a good 5 seconds before attacking to let them think about what just occurred. It is shocking how often it happens.

I feel like I have pretty good awareness, especially when it comes to hiding survivors. Maybe it's just experience at this point but if I am having trouble finding people, I usually have a good idea where they ran off to.
Although it is fun seeing a Twitch survivor now as I watch from their end (after the game of course). It's amazing how often I'll have walked by a survivor and had I turned left instead of right, I'd have slammed right into them.

If I look straight into the bush on dead dawg saloon for long enough, I might notice Claudette gazing back into my soul eventually.
4 -
Nice to hear, it sounds like there are quite a few people out here who are having a little trouble hehe.

I hate Claudette on that map, just crouch and bam, lose killer. The only reason I can still see them is because of their nice charms and bad positioning.

I'm awful, but somehow I can always tell if a survivor is up my backside and turning with me to try and act smart.

Same 😂 my favorite is when I see someone slowly enter a locker in the distance and just going up and sitting next to it for a second. Maybe place a trap outside of it if I'm playing trapper... Sometimes I'll just meme with survivors if it seems like they're new

It's map based for me I'm corn blind so I have trouble there sometimes this new darkened Badham gets me but I pride my self on being aware of what the surviovors are doing. Example when I play survivor I can't tell you how many times I am just stunned when the killer down the last 2 survivors me and a blendette for example and hooks me (multiple unhhoks, gens, chases, etc) but hooks me and gives hatch to the blendette who hid in a bush or locker entire game. That is what I am aware in a match is who is doing what and I base who lives off that who helps there team because 4k means little to me I base a win off 5 gens if they get them I lose if they don't I win so I have NP giving hatch. Nothing drives me more insane than seeing a survivor dying on first hook that hurts everyone in the game so since no one rescued they die unless I'm in a chase then I understand why that person didn't rescue.

Potentially that one, but i don't know BECAUSE I DON'T FIND THEM!!!

I'm super aware of audio... I use Grado SR125 headphones so I can hear very small audio cues. :)
3 -
im VERY aware as a killer
you walk in grass or breath and i get that audio i know your location.
crows fly on my screen, i notice.
i can see you across the map to a reasonable degree
I also always have a good idea of the survivors locations until they stop doing gens so I have been accused of wall hacking a few times. always feels good just knowing where a survivor is and finding them in a locker.

i'm not so good with audio because i'm half deaf (can't hear exactly where come from) and don't use headphone. everything else i have good awareness, especially when i play focused

I miss using my headphones it helped so much as killer but I recently had 2 twin boys born which brought my kid count to four and I notice when I wear then i zone in and I'm completely unaware of anything outside of the game which is bad lol. So needless to say my headphone days are done for some years :(

*Running into a random house within my LoS* aware.
No, but I guess I am pretty aware. I can hear subtle noises as long as my Ears don't get deafened by the totally not to loud Chase Music.
I'd say I miss quite a lot visually cuz I try to look everywhere instead of having a focus, therefore I miss things sometimes.
I usually know where Survivors spawn or are located by my Experience of playing as Survivor. It pays off to play both sides.

Pretty good? Maybe? Better than I used to be? I do have trouble spotting blood and can lose people in corn though so definitely not perfect.
1 -
Now I know what new headset I'm buying!
1 -
I'm the same way with blood but last night I notice indoors it was extremely easy to track blood and scratch marks best outside. I have never been able to track blood without bloodhound which I use on occasion when i am just playing around it helps track blood and has a deerstalker feel to it when slugging helps to find downed survivors.

Bloodhound and Deerstalker are two of my favorite perks. 🙂

So...you know you would make a good spirit main right (:

i wanted to give it some love (bloodhound) it gets lots of hate. Don't run often but has some use. I'm not a big slugger.

Sounds nice, I am a master at using the 40 dollar headphones I have to win.

I like how uncareful Survivors generally are with Crows.
Even if they can safely go past Crows without being careful, i sometimes see Crows return to their spot.
That tells me someone was here in the last 15 seconds, and i got that information without needing any gear.
I've caught Survivors using this information where i otherwise wouldn't even have thought of Survivors being around.
2 -
That is another thing, unless they are intentionally being stealthy, they forget that crows exist.

Oh, and idk if you can count this as aware...
But when they try to do the "I wait next to the vault for the Killer to vault so i can quickly vault back in", i vault, and if they ran left for example, all i do is ONLY press the button to go left.
It makes me bump into them if they're there, resulting in an easy hit.
I guess i am aware of this trick, and did something about it.

Everyone loses survivors in the corn sometimes.

I am exceptionally good at spotting even a tiny bit of movement. I am absolutely horrible at finding people who are sitting still and not making noise.
1 -
I'm out here useing my 6th sence or im keeping mental tabs on where people will probably be baised on anything like where I spawned to where was everyone with bbq
1 -
Yeah that counts and is being aware of the window juke.

*Laughs in blendette

Nice to hear, that is kind of what I do. If they fail a skill check mental note. If they show a pixel of their cosmetic mental note. It is actually really hard for people to hide against me.

I'm... well I've noticed I'm getting better.
I've always been decent and handling Audio Cues and Scratch Marks but was terrible at using blood or crows. Also way too frequently I'll end up hooking someone, then having zero clue where to go next. But recently I've actually started noticing crows flying away and blood on the floor and have used that to catch people I otherwise wouldn't have. Also finally getting BBQ has helped with post hook confusion. So... Ok and improving? I think?

I'm very reliant on audio as being colour blind I struggle greatly with tracking (scratchmarks are pretty non existent for me), so the audio is super important.
4 -
Thrilling tremors can be a substitute for BBQ or even whispers (just learn how to use it there is a video on it by ohTofu that helps). Also keep in mind that the closer blood trails are, the slower and more likely closer you are to a survivor.

Negative awareness. Sometimes a crow flies past me at a weird angle and I think it's a survivor. Sometimes I think a shrub is a survivor. Sometimes I hear someone breaking a totem and I spin all around in a circle trying to figure out where TF they are, and then it's just a fire barrel. Often, I hear genuine survivor sounds and, for some reason, I think they're on the opposite side of me from where they actually are. Often, I chase a trail of scratch marks with literally no idea who I'm following, and no ability to pick them out of the landscape at a distance. I also can't remember where I came from or which gens I've already been to and, if it's an indoor map, I don't know how to find the stairs.

I become demi-god like when my match loads in. I see any hint of movement at any distance (on rotten fields!). I will hear a blendette across the map crouching on mother's dwelling. Mind gaming loops becomes seemingly autonomous. I HAVE to throttle down or else everybody dc's before I can carry them to a hook. Oh and if I'm Huntress I can hit survivors in the next match before it starts💀.
Oh, you mean in reality. Survivors follow me around and startle me by dropping pallets on/behind me, and I still can't find them.😃

I'd say not aware enough...yet. I'm absolutely sure I sometimes walk by without noticing or get juked by crouching around a corner mid chase. Just poof survivor is gone.😪
But I have my moments like this week a Bill went into a locker on the first floor of dead dawg while I was approaching the saloon. Just beautiful how he stayed in and I pulled him out when I got upstairs. I rewatched my footage and you can barely see him get in on the upper left corner. These moments make me feel better about the loads of survivors I lost in the fog.🤩

Just so you know, these are open-air headphones meant for super-clean music-listening; they block zero external sounds. They're not bass-boosted at all, and have a pretty flat response curve. But you will hear very clear details in whatever you listen to. :) Their less-expensive ones like SR60 and SR80 are also very competent.
2 -
I once was having a horrible match survivors juking me left and right. Everything was off nothing made sense and then i realised i had my headphones on backwards.
So very aware as killer. As a person? Not so much
2 -
I have the observational awareness of a Jedi and the accute mental agility of Albert Einstein. I not only can see Survivors if they give me an inch of skin, I know where a Survivor is going to be WELL BEFORE they even know where they're going to be.
Hell, I'll stand there waiting for them to come and when they don't, and they 5 gen me and escape, I'll still be standing there and I'll yell at them after the game: "YOU WERENT WERE YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE. LEARN TO PLAY."
2 -
I'm not a great killer. I try to get better but I often go against red and purple rank SWF's with my level 18-20 killer and it's just not even fun. I never expect to win but with match making like that? Nope.

oof, I feel ya this mmr system is terrible right now.
