Bullying in after game chats
I genuinely don't understand people who bully the killer after the game. Just had a swf (well, ofc it's a swf) who called me every single name for not getting a 4k. I mean, what's your problem, people? Without killers you wouldn't be able to play, you know the queue times for survivors. And even if the killer isn't doing good, what's your problem with that? You escaped, right? So?
And if you do kill all of them, they still get all salty.

If you sit there and just read the vitriol or respond to it to encourage them then they'll continue to do so.

Nah, I never respond, just send out reports and leave. However, to be honest, still makes me sad a lil bit when I thought that the game was good

It really seems like some players consider this game to be real life. Like, by playing survivors they're going up against a real killer. "How dare you be a killer?! We'll show you!"
I really don't think they understand that if no one plays killer, there will be no game for them to play survivor.

I feel if the killer played bad they probably already left the chat when people do stupid stuff like this. While I still do have bad killer games I will either just hit them with a gg and leave or hit em with an ooooof that was ruff and we just joke around for a couple of seconds before parting ways.
I might be in a minority here but I like it when I get end game salt after a decent/good game on my part. I usually kill them with kindness and facts. Also I'm not allowed in Boston because someone in end game chat said so.

Post game bullies tend to be bullies during the game as well. Not sure why this should be surprising. Only thing that reliably changes a survivor's personality is a good thrashing.. even then you're likely to get trolled.

I've seen killers mock survivors too. I've seen many "gg ez" or "shut up you are dead" after match comments. I usually don't even bother, especially when it comes from a mid-rank Ruin+Undying+NoED etc etc killer. If I see they are actually insulting my teammates I report them (even though I don't really think it does much, I'm not sure they even see those reports) otherwise I just leave them enjoying those big-boy minutes they get by winning in a videogame :P

Never said killers can't be toxic. I just speak up about my experience as someone who plays 50/50 and never got any toxic killers, but gets toxic survivors almost every trial.

I had an experience earlier on ps4 where i was sent to ormond with a swf. plenty of toxic behavior that i didnt care about but one person killed themselves on hook just to spam me with messages for about 5 minutes straight while i finished killing the rest of his friends.
i had the doctor, got 4 kills with all 5 gens still up. no camp, no tunnel. didn't slug or eat any of the 4 decisives. so after the match i asked why he was so upset. no mori, no noed (as if it mattered) and he was just angry because i was a killer. its like he didnt understand that no one was forcing him to play the game. im a rank 1 killer and rank 3 survivor at the moment but if you hear him tell it i was a hypocrite because of things that i guess some killers say about survivor...things i never even brought up. i just wanted to know what i did to set him off and yea. it was choosing to play killer.
i dont understand why people (usually survivors) are so upset just because you chose to play opposite them. its like they cant understand that if i didnt pick killer there is no game and they are just stuck in the lobby with their friends.
people jumping in and out of lockers to annoy me which i just use as another tracking device on a killer with good tracking to begin with. im like "oh, that person isnt doing gens" the person who killed themselves to distract me by messaging me non stopped just hurt his team. so i told him thank you because had he not done that they may have gotten a generator done"
all in all. the mind set of some people is just fascinating.

I feel like those people would prefer playing the game where the killer just stands still and lets them farm, or doesn't even appear on the map

I fail to see what a killer's choice of perks and rank has to do with their crappy behavior. But you aren't wrong, both sides could be toxic. But the thing about survivors particularly is that there's four of them and one of you. When one decides to call your racial slurs, the others will either join in or don't do anything about it. Hell, they're even terrible to each other. I can't even count how many times I had to intervene because the other three survivors ganged up on one of my opponents. I've been harassed by other survivors and so has my friends. On top of that you have the little rulebook, killers can't use certain perks, can't use certain characters, certain add ons, or they will be shamed or bullied. I see this crappy behavior in the forums.
I ask myself every match, "Am I gonna play the way they want to because I'm being chivalrous or do I fear getting harassed?" I hardly ever have to ask myself that when versing a killer.

Yup, they will harass you for using noed or mori because this made them angy while using ds and bringing purple flashlights, which, let's be honest, doesn't please me, but that's their choice, I don't harass anyone for bringing them

If you're toxic don't expect the killer not to be toxic in return. That the way I see it. Use whatever perks you want but don't get a ego cause of them. I seen the Ds and soul guard build mixed with unbreakable. I seen Noed mixed with a mori and a instant down killer. Anything goes but no hacks.

I play on console and this is why not having the end game chat is good. Yes, we also lose out on compliments, but it's a small price to pay. Still, I have blocked messages from non-friends because everyone just spams messages to the killer, to other survivors, for this or that and I don't have the patience anymore.

This game is bully simulator. End game chat should be removed, period. But the devs dont wanna, i guess because getting positive interaction 1/10 games is better than 9/10 games being cussed and trash talked for playing the game.

I don't root for deleting the chat tbh, but I think that any harassment or insult must be the reason to ban the person if not forever, then for a long time. Or just ban them from chats, idk. We get punished with dc penalty when the game crashes, but people who actually harass others are fine.

There's literally a thread here where people are justifying racial slurs because of the way a killer played. It's that bad.

I think postgame chat should be removed. I get tilted after receiving those insults. Also i feel i have to respond, so i start wishing them same things they wish me. It's just waste of time and I don't understand why this has to be part of the game. Hiding chat is not a good option. Some people will still be insulting, asserting themselves and thinking you're just afraid to respond.
But most likely it won't get removed as people don't request this and even ask to add chat to console.

I don't see anything useful or insightful in this comment other than some cringy attempt to play internet tough guy. Like apathetic is the lamest way you could be and this worhtless mindset isn't just towards harassment it's toward other crappy elements in this game as well like the monetization it's the reason stuff never improves and the Devs get lazy.
And they won't. I made the mistake of insulting some dude who made the same comment you did and was threatened with a ban. A lot of people that deserved to be here are banned. They can't even be trusted with a glass of water. Don't worry you're safe. 🙄

I wish i got ######### talked or anything but after i came back to this game after a year about a week ago i have played probably 50 games and 3 times anyone has said anything in chat, one was in the first game that didn't start, one was an swf i farmed with and one swf was salty i got a 4k

I think he's referring to the notorious Survivors rule book for Killers, which is designed to make the Killers time as miserable as possible and enabling bullying by the Survivors. It's a joke among the seasoned crowd, yet to this day many people feel pressured to comply to at least some of its rules. It's baffling.

Soo ofc it's easier to assume someone played toxic than accepting the fact players can be toxic in chats just for the sake of it. I never facecamp or tunnel because I main a survivor and I know how does it feel. If anything, I don't believe someone who gets called a loser and a noob and barely gets a hook can play toxic, buddy.

I’m not protecting any desire to bully I personally don’t bully others online, or am I trying to be a tough guy. Its a cruel world and it just kinda pathetic when someone cries over something that really shouldn’t affect them. Say what you want about what i am saying call me a [BAD WORD] I couldn’t care less because at the end of the day none of you affect my life only i can. I’m done now with this thread its boring me.

I'd go as far as to say it is one of the community's worse problems. It's always in bad faith and honestly toxic. I had the same mindset until I started playing killer. lol
