Just a thought, this really looks cool and I'd like it in DBD for Freddy. This and Robert England's Freddy look.
I also credited the artist, so anyone who says I "Stole the Image", it's not technically stealing if I still credit the artist who originally made it. Just saying.

Honestly, I'm not much a fan of Wes Craven's New Nightmare Freddy. I know, the one I suggested looks close to it. But the whole feel for the New Nightmare version just feels a bit silly.

I understand, however Freddy’s current body is a certain form (like a character mold in the system) with given dimensions to accommodate his customizations and vice versa. The devs would have to internally rework the structure of Freddy, reforming his build to fit the slender, lanky style of the character the artist has depicted in that drawing you posted. This means there would be 2 molds for Freddy when a player chooses to dress him in the alternate skin. They haven’t ever done this with any of their characters. If anything, they would design him to appear as he does in other films.
Regardless of all that, the deciding factor is always the licensee and their stipulations within the contract with Behaviour. If they only allow certain versions of Freddy, then that’s all we’re ever going to get.

The concept in that drawing is more terrifying than DBD’s version... that hand is really cool too, wouldn’t mind seeing that in game
