Smurfing Run Rampant
Please consider turning back on the protection to prevent Smurfing. The Killer should be selected to match the color Rank of the most potent in the group, not the weakest. It is NOT averaging the Ranks of all involved. I have watched one game after another pulling 2-3 Red Rank Survivors for a Green Rank Killer as long as the group made sure they had single Purple in their midst.

Same thing happened to me last night. And I could easily tell they were friends because three of them had the same sort of tag, formatted the same way for all three. The worst was a rank 16 who was one of the three.

Who cares. Playing against better people is an opportunity to get better. Just do your best.

I am not concerned with myself. I am watching other people hit this. Some people are ready for Red Ranks and some people are not. The point is they had a setting that was preventing this. People are Smurfing so they can avoid fighting in their own Ranks, and beat up on people who don't have the skills yet to fight back.

I keep getting a couple reds and purples in brown ranks...it hurts getting clowned on like that, but it isn't so bad until you get a streak of them and get forced further down the rankings, especially when they'd rather dc than die and save their items? Honor? I have no clue. Messes with the score and our temperment.

This actually just happened to me right now a few moments ago. I face off against 4 survivors and they turned out to be a whole group, 2 were rank 5, one was rank 1, and one was rank 17, and I'm a rank 17 killer(I only got the game around a month ago).
It was super stressful, they were incredibly aggressive, and somehow seemed immune to my attacks when they were unhooking which I hadn't seen before. I still managed to kill 2 of them and one was the rank 1 but damn that was like way way above what I'm used to.

If I am one of them, I'm not really smurfing, a friend just got the game and wanted to swf, I'm not trying to be an ass to the killer and I usually let the killer down me and kill me.

Okay since I moved up to the yellow ranks I've found that Smurfing is incredulously rampant in them. Literally every game I've had since reaching yello has had red smurfs in it.

I have this problem too. I am rank 11 and went against a rank 2,3,6,6 team. I got stomped.

Sure they don't have any hope... and of course they'd learn far more competing against superior opponents within their realistic skill threshold... and maybe whatever skills they do adapt are too distorted by the crying and the cowering to translate to their other matches.... and it's only natural that all that vicious pummeling would run at least a few of them off for life here... but, okay, so what?
We're forgetting something here, and it's the one thing that matters above everything else.... ITS SURE AS HELL FUN FOR ME!
