I Know Who The Next Killer Is!
So we need to look at the clues from the trailer to find this out.
1st: We see a weird hand
2nd: Forest background
So as we can tell the forest is full of trees and one realm that is full of trees is Macmillan. I am going to focus on the Shelter Woods map.
The giant tree in the middle is quite interesting to me. So this leads me to believe the next killer is licensed. This killer is:
THE CURSE ROTTED GREATWOOD!!
This is due to the background being a hint to the Shelter Woods map, in particular the tree. Also the second stage is where the hand relates to. If you look at the hand it is also a similar colour to the hand in the trailer.

It's just a joke. Curse Rotted Greatwood is one of the largest bosses in DS3. He's over 5 meters wide and over 20 meters tall, so he wouldn't be able to enter buildings or fit through doors.
Interestingly, I've always noted a largweoverlap between hardcore DBD players and hardcore Fromsoft addicts. I myself count among their number. I wonder what the connection is?

My guess and vote for if Dark Souls get a killer in DbD it will probably be "The Forlorn" due to their eternal wandering between worlds and being their game's respective player hunting NPC.
Also headless cloaked knight wielding dark weapons that scale best off of bleeding(Aka being infused with blood) makes a lot of sense for the game thematically.

A cursed Ent would be really cool though. Something like maybe an Ent sapling. Think Treebeard, only rotting, festering, maggot-infested, and the size of the Great Deku Tree reborn.
