So you can't derank?

Past level 15? It doesn't force you to stay in the top 5 ranks if you make it there does it? I doubt it.

I kinda get why but I was wanting to derank to play as the Nurse. I never played as her and get smoked as her against decent ranks. But apparently 15 is the limit. I'm aware shes the best but I find learning her against hard survivors frustrating.

Yes 15 is the lowest rank you can derank into by losing. You can only go lower with the rank reset.

You can. If you don't play at all and log in to get ranked down every rank reset.
16-20 is newbie ranks and you cannot get back there if you get to 15 or higher.

If you're new to Nurse you'll derank in no time, no worries there.

Rank 15 survivors aren't that hard. Unless it's those who are only rank 15 because they DC so they can bully low level killers.

Either way consider it throwing yourself in at the deep end. You'll learn her faster against people who can dodge rather than trying to hit statues.

Yup, the Ranking system is something that needs a major overhaul in the worst way. If you want to level up a new character after passing 15, you basically have to just farm BP on a better character, dump them in the new character, and prepare for a massive learning curve against de-ranked survivors. Sucks the joy out of learning a new killer completely. :(

Also, good luck with ever getting those Adept [Insert Killer] achievements for any new killers you pick going forwards. LoL

I was actually at rank 6. Wanted to do this for awhile. Purposely blew a few ranks before reset then a couple more. Hit 15 and didn't even know that was a thing. Apparently it got changed. I remember being a rank 20 survivor and seeing prestige players. Either way I think it will have a benefit to practice against crappier players to at least get a feel for her.

Why would you derank all the way from rank 6 to 20?

To get used to the Nurse while playing less skilled survivors. So I could gradually learn her play style instead of going against trolls.

I am also on console so she is more difficult to learn than on a PC. Her frame rate doesn't help. I would still think when learned she would be as good as on PC but even as a survivor in the top ten ranks I barely see her. When I do play her it always seems like someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

So when I am her it always seems like the group is like. "hey! This person isn''t used to the Nurse lets screw with them!"

I try not to use any killer too much other than The Doctor for getting more bloodpoints. I have expanded my killers levels, but they're all unworthy of serious play anyway. I balance out my killers and don't care about my rank. I actually cringe when I rank up because I know it'll eventually go beyond my skill level.

At least I can now say the rank system does its job a bit better than I thought before...maybe?

These rank 15 survivors are so new. I keep letting people beat me because technically I have no business being there. At least I can get used to the Nurse and the Pigs lunge without feeling like a total moron. Double pips seem easier IDK if that is just me imagining it. Sometimes I feel like I did really well against the high ranks and I black pip or something.
