Piggy
I just wanna take a second to talk about pig. I watched various videos saying that she's low tier, personally I think she's underrated, imo she's decent she's not a low tier, she has good potential to stop gens, she's a beast with stbfl ,we can boop her snoot, you can play around with the dash at some pallets, not safe ones unfortunately. I think that she's a killer that requires the same dedication as a trapper or a demo, you could either dominate teams or be dominated by teams. What do you guys think, is the pig really low tier?

I don't think that she's THAT good, but she's decent. We could make the argument that if you master a killer I guess that every killer's decent(?)
I mean I play trapper basically every dbd day, I enjoy him even if I lose and hey sometimes I can beat swf

I don't think she's low tier at all and you definitely have a point about becoming a master of a specific killer. Scorpionz, one of our Fog Whisperers and Twitch Streamer is a Piggy main and has definitely mastered her and is considered to be one (if not the) best pig player out there. He does very, very well with her and watching him play, I don't think anyone would say Piggy's low tier.
On the other side, I'm useless with Nurse so if anyone watched me play they'd say Nurse was low tier.
That's why I tend to ignore tier lists because the most important factor is how well an individual does with a killer.

Not the biggest fan of the Pig, how well she performs in a match depends on the rng of her traps, which I hate.
Her add-ons are also pretty bad, she does have the worst stealth power in the game, in my opinion, and her ambush isn't that good either.
She needs some buffs, making her more consistent would also be really good.

My opinion on the Pig is that I think its a brilliant implementation of the Saw franchise by BHVR, for all the crap they (imo deservingly) receive, they have sparks of genius and the pig is one of them.
Her mori however is extremely underwhelming/boring/lacking love.
Also its hard to pin her down in some box, her traps are completely RNG so sometimes they are extremely powerful and sometimes they do nothing at all, completely out of your hands.

I think her power is very reliant on RNG, addons and bad survivors.
Her RBT's are too often inneffective, her stealth is borderline useless on more than half the maps, using her power in a loop is almost worthless without Combat Straps, and even then any good survivor will know you're crouching and just immediately run from most loops in the game and avoid getting hit, thus not only buying their entire team time but not even seeing that sweet, textbook moondash.

Against average or bad survivor she is totally fine like most killers because they make mistakes, waste time and don't fully know what they're doing. However, against actually good survivors she is quite weak. She becomes essentially a basic m1 killer with a little gen slow down that is completely RNG reliant on how good it's gonna go. She has a stealth but it's one of the worst in the game and her ambush is near complete trash and should have had a rework ages ago. The only loops her ambush is good at are loops that are unsafe and could've been easily mind games without the ambush in the first place.
Lastly, most her addons are just bad or don't make any sense.
Just because I can 3-4k the majority of my matches doesn't mean Pig is good, it just points out that the majority of survivors are bad and we still have a flawed ranking/rank reset system piling survivors up at ranks they shouldn't be in. IE those players aren't really the rank it says they are.
I also quite hate when we look at one of the best killer players for a specific killer in the game to say a killer is a fine, but then when we look at survivor we look at the "average" survivor in a solo queue match. That's quite a double standard. The same criteria needs to be used for both. IE top tier both sides or average both.

I've never accepted the whole "Scorpionz is really good as Pig, so Pig must be good" argument because the fact that a player is very good as a particular character does not necessarily mean the character itself is good and (by itself at least) is more of an indication of the merits of the player than of the character itself. See: Gimpyfish and Melee Bowser
I personally think Pig is not very good because neither half of her power is consistently good/useful. Her ambush is only good at certain loops (ones which are usually less than ideal) and, no matter how good you are with it, will always depend in the end on whether the Survivor makes a mistake. Her Traps' ability to stall are fairly dependent on variance and can range wildly from "quite solid" to "near nonexistent." Her stealth is below average compared to other killers more dedicated in it, her anti-loop is below average compared to other killers more dedicated in it, and her stalling power is below average compared to other killers more dedicated in it. The fact that she can do all of it but not do any of it well kinda puts her in an unfortunate "Master of None" situation.

In general a really good Killer Main. Way better than those players who complain nonstop about Killers being weak, maps being too big or SWF being too strong.

Yeah, totally agree, she is underrated. I am doing fine with her without using any Slowdown-Perks, since she has a built-in slowdown. First 2 Gens are usually done quite quick, but as long as I have a Trap on a Survivor at this point, I am fine (as long as I am not unlucky and every Survivor removes the Trap on the first Box).
Alsways kinda sad to see Pig named as one of the worst Killers, because she is not bad, even if she does not have an oppressive Chase Ability.
She can get an Add On Rework tho, most of her Add Ons are not good or simply outdated. E.g. Tampered Timer does not need to exist, the Add Ons which increase Skill Check Odds or penalties are also not useful anymore, since there is no interaciton anymore (for months, at least) between Jigsaw Boxes and stuff like Unnerving Presence or Lullaby.
Would love to see more Add Ons for her Crouch and Dash, because her Traps are not her only Power (even tho, I get the feeling that not a small amount of people think that).

Dr.Gordon if I'm not mistaken the blonde doc in the first film, would be a good addition too! Amanda's great but I loved that character, maybe they could do something like Legion where you can choose to play as frank or julie, that would be great

I'd say they matter as in not completely meaningless (on average a rank 1 will be better than a rank 10 for example) but they do currently mean significantly less than they used to because of the flawed systems we have going on at the moment that i mentioned.

It shows the maximum skill ceiling that the Killer has, and with Pig it's apparently quite high.

Pig be underrated just got a 4 man swf team three people were on last hook and got one kill with a low tier killer that's good. And I've been nailing 4ks with her left and right.

As a main pig... she's not thaat bad but she is indeed bad. Doing good as a player has nothing to do with the killer per se. As an example Nurse has the lowest killer rate but that doesn't make her a bad killer. Any killer in good hands and with good perks can do well, and that's not about the killer's potential, it's about the player's potential. And if a player is good, they can pick any bad killer and do well with them.

She can get the upper hand easily but can lose it just as easily
She is versatile enough to allow multiple builds and playstyles

According to the stats the devs released last month Piggy has one of the highest kill rates in the game. It's not hard to see why:
Her hats give the killer instant slowdown by forcing them survivors to do tasks other than gens, and occasionally even gets her free kills.
Her stealth power is just sort of okay, and is pretty easy for good survivors to counter. I wish she had more addons that affect her stealth/dash. The only ones she currently has are yellow and brown tier.
