Is there any chance of Jack Torrance or the shining licence coming to dead by daylight?
I think the shining licence would be amazing for this game Jack as the killer and most likely Wendy or dick as the survivor having the iconic overlook hotel with gens around its blood filled elevators, the main foyer, the ballroom, room 237, and of course the hedge maze with a abandoned snow cat right outside, Jack would be the first more human killer in the roaster and feel more loose and trigger happy, even having appreciations of the ghosts like Grady or the twins floating around would be a first I'm just speculating here but there is a lot you can with it

idk, I think he would be too human, and if they make some entity powered up version it would be a tad weird I think.

Devs already tried to speak with Stephen King for Pennywise, they said he's hard to reach, so i guess The Shining is a big no-no yet.
But yeah, i'll love The Shining as well.

If they did get the license they probably wouldn't be able to use Jack Nicholson's likeness. NECA toys stays getting asked about Shining figs and they always reply the same.

No, He was a writer and school teacher that was possessed by the spirits/hotel and pushed to kill his family , so they could absorb Danny's power.

The thing is, Stephen King is hard to reach. Not only that, but he is a very very controlling person when it comes to his creations, if the Devs did one thing wrong that King didn't like then they'd lose the license. I learned all this about him while studying film and TV, that's why Stanley Kubrick changed the colour of the car in the movie, he wanted to get under King's skin.

Yeah King's not so lenient with his licenses unlike the others. That's why Pennywise (or The Shining) would be a dream license to have in dbd.

I'm not even a King fan I won't lie about it, people don't like that I don't like his stuff, but I will admit having Penny-wise would be amazing to see even though I'm terrified of clowns, but I'd love to see what the devs could do.

Not even gonna lie, I didn't know clown was a thing when I got this game and my second match as survivor someone was clown and I freaked, but slowly I'm starting to laugh because he isn't the kinda clown that freaks me out if that makes sense. We have a local guy who is a sweetheart and he raises a lot of money for charity, but he's a clown and if I see him I hide because his makeup is so over the top. Although, most clowns I face are in his Mr. Puddles outfit so I can laugh.
