This May Just Seem Like Fanboy-ism Coming From Me, But...

Recently, i've been having a lot more motivation to play DbD.

It wasn't like i quit or played less, but for some reason unknown to me, i feel more like playing ever since the start of this week.

Not Survivor though, still as boring as ever to me.

With enough posts coming being made where people state they leave the game from not being enjoyable enough, are there people out there who felt like just playing more?

i just think updates since the bubba rework have been way more fun, blight is a blast to play as and against, we've been getting some fun stuff too, even this ptb even if it's a total mess it's been fun

Yeah, that's pretty much what i meant with my post.

You can have your problems with the game, i have some too.

But i'm not demotivated at all recently.

I've been playing more now than for the past few months. I've overall been enjoying the updates. I think some people just get too stuck in negatives tbh.

A few weeks back I started playing the game again after a break of about a month or two, and other than this week, I've been playing a ton trying to learn Huntress, and it's been much more enjoyable that I had thought it would've been.

I find myself in this uncomfortable spot as well.

Like I want to play the game, but watching it is almost just as fun and INFINITELY less stressful.

"I can either sweat to kill a few or pop open a beer and watch 2-3 Tru Videos and relax."

It happens with me just as much as taking a break from the game does.

Sometimes I wanna play Dead by Daylight and sometimes I wanna play Dark Souls, or Darkest Dungeon, or Life is Strange, or whatever. Games are meant to be fun, and endless repetition will only make something boring.

That said, I'm personally still not really eager to start playing DBD again, and I don't really care about the new update (Autohaven changes are really nice - much better than MacMillan changes IMO - but they're still the same maps, more or less).

I still do like this game though, just probably not going to playing any time soon - and that's okay. When I'm in the mood, I'll probably play again. And then when I'm done, I'll probably stop playing DBD. And so on, and so on.

I had to take a break myself for a few weeks and I came back last week and I'm enjoying myself. I've stopped caring for getting kills as killer or even winning as survivor. I just tend to mess around with killer, try practice powers on my lesser used ones and mess with perks. Playing survivor is still stressful thanks to solo matchmaking, but I just use that for practice in my chases since I'm god awful, but slowly getting better. And now that we're getting a new killer, which I cannot wait to play, I'm feeling more motivated to play more.
