My only thing is when you guys say not to follow statistics but then when OoO is brought up ethan said "well our statistics show most OoO users die" could that possibly because they get tunneled or camped for running that bs? So when should we and should we not use statistics?

There's always a reason why each killer is where they are. Pig for example isn't that different from wraith gameplay wise but they're pretty far away from each other. Having high or low kill rate doesn't mean much as there are too many variables to use it as ground for balancing killer (not that you would I hope at least).
For kill rates difficulty to preform well is what it shows, not effectivness of the killer or their strenght. DBD community as a whole is full of players who aren't that great at playing really optimally, especially survivros who enjoy all kinds of self destructive actions. Kill rates do offer some amout of information about killer's overall strenght but not even remotely enough to show how good they are againt opponets of equll skill.

Are there any theories as to why that is? I definitely don't think she's the weakest killer especially with certain add ons, but I'm surprised at her performance. Not disputing the stats, just surprised. Are typical Pig games appreciably longer than a say, a Plague or Clown game? Do the bear traps maybe cause coordination issues among solo queue teammates?

Hay people still say the nurse is the strongest killer in the game despite having the objectively poorest preformance of all killer at even the highest ranks.
The devs are insanely selective on what they'd want to use from the stats as "Valid" given that they used the survival rate stats of OoO to try to justify why its not game breaking.

Yeah, he has portals that you can mind game with well and a built in chase shortening ability. Plague and Demo are both good. They just lack representation within the community.

He's not bad, but he's not good, either. The fact that he broadcasts every action he's taking, most which are globally, and how sub par his addons are, keep him from being where he could be.

Not just the pick/kill data you guys released, but looking at the forums. It doesn't seem like many complain about going against her. Some complain that she is weak, but i think it's more that she is deceptively difficult to learn.
I play a decent amount of pig, and don't think I have had anyone DC on me. If so it was few and far between.
I think she needs an add on pass since almost all of her add ons are bad to ok-ish at best. But other than that I think she is among the best balanced of all the killers.

Given the flexibility, cooldown length, and speed of the teleport, I don't think it's too egregious at all.
His Shred/Channel roar has no impact on gameplay.

Both Clown and Pig are as good as the player. Neither needs buffed. Their killrates are way too high already.

The RBT stalls matches on a level that Clown's Bottles cannot, and the Pig also has her Crouch/Pounce ability to be on par with him when looping. The only edge Clown has is better addons, whereas Pig can get kills without using RBT addons due to how they work, which is why the Bottles need improvement.

Pigs kill rate is high for a few reasons:
- She's easy to pick up and use by anyone
- She stomps noobs easily with traps and stealth
I wouldn't say pig is bad, id say she's the definition of "meh". She isn't up there though because she's good, it's because of the reasons I listed. Same goes with freddy, he is incredibly easy to pick up by anyone and has lots of good tools.
One thing is, you should never take if a killer is good or bad depending on these statistics which are flawed. You cant just say that pig doesn't deserve buffs because she has a high kill rate and also say that nurse doesn't. Pig isn't up there because she's good, it's because of other reasons, much similar to nurse who is lowest not because she is weak, but because of other reasons (high skill cap).

I can't speak to any other experiences other than my own, but when I start getting 3-4ks pretty with a decent amount of consistency in Red Ranks as Pig using a pure meme build while also rarely actually using her ambush (often going without ever using it for whole matches), I'm more inclined to question the skill level of the player base in general rather than whether or not my perception of Pig being weak might be wrong.

The best part about Pig is her bear trap. Her crouching and ambush is pretty underwhelming, however. Combat straps should be baseline.

Ya dude! Oh, and Plague needs to be made harder to play. First thing is to TOTALLY make the arc of her ranged attack random! They gave her a default Corrupt Fountain recently, thinking they should reverse that. Oh hey, maybe make it require that the Fountain needs to be used TWICE before it's Corrupt! She's just too good right now and barely has to run around like a total maniac to apply any pressure.
Now what to do about how strong Demo is...

Would it be possible to have charts with Killer stats with each chart representing a different rank? I know its not as accurate, considering how easy it is to rank up or down but I feel like Nurse stats in Purple-Red would more accurately reflect the Killer's potential as opposed to her abysmal placement in the overall charts.
Another question: We've had stats about pick rates and kill ratios on Killers, but could we ever see pick rates on Perks and/or Addons? Regardless of a person's skill as a Survivor or any Killer, I feel like those two mechanics have a large enough influence on the game that we could see interesting results.
Don't listen to him- without the Devs this game would be unplayable, literally non-existent. No one is perfect, let them do their thing and eventually we'll see a better game in the end.

Good to have official confirmation that other staff members, are I guess scared of being "called out" in the forums? You got people who pour thousands and thousands of hours into this game that they love, and prying any meaningful data out of BHVR's hands is both rare and even more rarely fruitful as it's often extremely narrow and comes with a big heaping helping of "well, don't use this data to extrapolate literally anything." I think people at this point might want more than just-for-fun stats.
I'm sure it's very exhausting, and plenty of people are much more rude than they need to be, but the idea that a significant portion of the developers might avoid their community here almost entirely because they don't want to "deal with it" is very disappointing.
To put it another way, some folks who spend thousands and thousands of hours (frankly the level of hours I've seen people put into this game was shocking when I first started getting into it, that's MMO-level hours for me) and sometimes even thousands of dollars into this game and then having their concerns and complaints get treated as a nuisance rather than as the point of view of someone very dedicated to the game is unfortunate. Again, not saying that every single person deserves all their questions answered and demands met simply because they play a lot, but as it stands the expected default response anyone making a thread has is deafening silence.

I'd place her more C tier. She's an M1 Killer unless someone cleanses, and high ranks normally don't cleanse until the last gen is left/done. There needs to be more incentive to cleanse earlier.

He's not atrocious, but one of his powers needs buffing. He's an all-rounder so he has options, but his lack of a particular strength hinders him.

It depends what rank you play in red ranks maybe but from yellow to beginning of purple pig can crush noobs pretty badly but same with most stealth killers
